  • Patent number: 6386083
Abstract: A vertically movable foam sponge cutting apparatus includes a vertical cutting device disposed on a blade strip frame. The vertical cutting device can be moved left and right in a vertical state. In addition, the vertical cutting device includes an ascending/descending device which is controllably movable up and down to change the rigidity of the blade strip in a cutting operation area. A foam sponge is cut along vertical cutting lines on a working bench. Therefore, a greater cutting function is achieved and the power consumption is lowered.

  • Patent number: 5989442
Abstract: Method for wet etching where proper arrangements of the substrates during the growth of the insulation layer is adopted. An insulation layer is prepared on the surface of a substrate at the area where thin film circuits are positioned. On the surfaces of the substrate where the thin film circuits are not positioned are prepared protective layers. During the wet etching the attack by the etchant may be avoided. The material of the insulation layer and the protection layer may be the same. The material of the protection layer may be the photo-resistant used in the wet etching process. The invention also disclosed circuit components prepared with the wet etching of this invention.

  • Patent number: 5850373
Abstract: A transmission mechanism for a magnet-bearing ornament, in which a clock main spring barrel serves to provide power required by the ornament to show a dynamic scene. The clock main spring barrel has a second wheel to replace a conventional second hand. The second wheel has a large number of teeth provided along its circumferential surface and meshes with a small driven gear to cause the latter to rotate at a high speed. The small driven gear may then cause a magnet-bearing member to coaxially rotate with it via a rotating shaft of the gear connected to the magnet-bearing member. Alternatively, the small driven gear is provided with a major rotational disc having magnets attached thereto. When the small driven gear rotates, the major rotational disc rotates synchronously to magnetically rotate the magnet-bearing member behind a background board of the ornament disposed between the clock main spring barrel and a front showing space.

  • Patent number: 5840375
Abstract: A rare earth-based permanent magnet such as a neodymium-iron-boron permanent magnet, which is disadvantageous in respect of the low corrosion resistance, can be imparted with high corrosion resistance by providing the surface with a protective coating film of vitrified alkali metal silicate, e.g., sodium silicate, of which the SiO.sub.2 :(alkali metal oxide) molar ratio is in the range from 1.5 to 20. The vitrified alkali metal silicate-based protective coating film can be formed by coating the surface of the magnet with an aqueous coating solution containing sodium silicate to form a coating layer which is dried and subjected to a heat treatment at 50.degree. to 450.degree. C. to effect vitrification of the alkali metal silicate. The thickness of the thus formed protective coating film should be in the range from 5 nm to 10 .mu.m.

  • Patent number: 5789771
Abstract: The invention relates to the structure of the camel-gate field-effect transistor with multiple modulation-doped channels. The device structure, from the bottom to the top in succession, includes the substrate, the buffer layer, the multiple modulation-doped channels, the thin and complete depletion layer, and the ohmic contact layer. The transistor is characterized by a camel-gate diode, which is composed of the multiple modulation-doped channels, the thin and complete depletion layer and the ohmic contact layer. The gate structure may achieve the high potential height between the gate electrode and the source electrode as well as the high breakdown voltage performance. Furthermore, the use of multiple modulation-doped channels, made of n-type GaAs materials with different thickness and doped concentration, can exhibit excellent properties of high output current, large and linear transconductances.
