An original output of the first microphone and a compensation signal generated by the ambient noise compensation signal generator are mixed together prior to being passed to a transmitter. A buffer is provided between the microphone and the mixer to help synchronize the timing of the signals to be mixed and an output of the mixer is provided to an antenna.

If the first metadata corresponds to the second metadata, the system may select a processing scheme for suppressing the ambient noise from the audio stream, and process the audio stream using the processing scheme. The greater the number of decoy signals, the greater the security provided to the open-air system. Without the knowledge of the channel assignment(s) for the true signal(s), an eavesdropper may be able to intercept (and, with time, perhaps descramble) the open-air transmitted signals, will not be able to distinguish the true data from the decoys without also knowing the channel assignment(s).

    Abstract: Social networking is used to enhance content delivery to mobile devices. Sometimes a mobile device lacks network connectivity, such as when the mobile device is off or offline. Content cannot be sent to the mobile device when lacking network connectivity. A social network, however, may be retrieved for interim storage of the content. When the mobile device lacks network connectivity, the content may be routed to a member device of the social network. The member device stores the content until the mobile device resumes network connectivity. The member device may then send or forward the content to the mobile device.

    Abstract: A system can collect, from an address resolution protocol (“ARP”) cache of a managed virtual network function (“VNF”), at least one active entry corresponding to at least one active element of a plurality of virtual local area network (“VLAN”) networks. The system can determine whether an entry associated with at least one of the plurality of VLAN elements was found. In response to determining that an entry associated with at least one of the plurality of VLAN elements was not found, the system can send an ARP request to the plurality of VLAN elements, wait for an ARP response, and, in response to determining that an ARP response has not been received, generating a notification that VLAN connectivity has been lost.

Initially, the communications device registers with a less preferred service provider in a first frequency band. If the first determination is positive, the mobile broadcast service center then determines if the requested broadcast video channel is in the existing channel bundle. If this second determination is negative, then it adds the requested broadcast video channel to the existing channel bundle.
