    Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for presenting a machine translation and alternative translations to a user, where a selection of any particular alternative translation results in the re-ranking of the remaining alternatives. The system then presents these re-ranked alternatives to the user, who can continue proofing the machine translation using the re-ranked alternatives or by typing an improved translation. This process continues until the user indicates that the current portion of the translation is complete, at which point the system moves to the next portion.

    Abstract: A method of managing lip synchronization error in a multimedia content delivery network includes identifying a video packet and an audio packet associated with the video packet and determining a synchronization offset between the audio and video packets at a first monitoring point in the network. The audio and video packets are then detected at a second monitoring point in the network and a second synchronization offset is determined. When a delta between the first synchronization offset and the second synchronization offset exceeds a threshold, lip synchronization error information may be automatically recorded and/or reported to a service provider and corrective action may be taken if potential sources of the lip synchronization error are within the domain of the service provider. The video packet may be identified by a timestamp within the packet and the audio packet may be identified by audio data within the audio packet.

A determination is then made as to whether the context of the communication session is related to a set of business rules associated with the service platform which may automatically trigger the retention of a recording of the communication session. If the context of the communication session is related to the set of business rules, the retention of the communication session is automatically triggered in real-time at a recording module.

The network may time stamp this second set of locations. The determination of the locations of the device via GPS and via the network infrastructure may occur approximately during the same time frame. The first set of locations and the second set of locations may be time aligned, and the differences between the two sets may be utilized to determine the accuracy of network-infrastructure-based location determination mechanism as compared to the GPS-based location determination mechanism.

The network provider can decrypt the encryption key and can provide the encryption key to a wireless access point implementing the wireless network and communicating with the mobile device. The wireless access point and the mobile device can communicate in a secure fashion based on the encryption key.

Upon obtaining the selection, a purchase request message is transmitted to an intermediary communication device. The purchase request message includes at least the content identifier. After the transaction is completed at a transaction server, a purchase confirmation message including at least a digital rights management key associated with the digital data stream is returned to and received by the broadcast receiving device. Upon receipt, of the digital rights management key, the recorded digital data stream is released for reproduction.

An amount of memory needed for handling requests from users of a physical telephone number mapping service provided by a communication network is determined. A listing of different virtual machine flavors available for instantiation is searched. Each virtual machine flavor has a different respective memory capacity. A determination is made whether there is a virtual machine flavor available for instantiation that has a memory capacity adequate to handle the requests. Responsive to determining that there is a virtual machine flavor available for instantiation that has the memory capacity adequate to handle the requests, instantiation of the virtual machine flavor is initiated for handling the requests.
