  • Patent number: 11934579
Abstract: An example system includes a strap, a display, a plurality of haptic devices, and a notification engine to cause activation of a haptic device in response to a virtual event that exceeds the view boundary. In an example, instructions may cause a processor to map a relative location of a virtual event to a corresponding location on a strap of an electronic device and cause activation of a haptic device at the corresponding location on the strap in response to a determination that the relative location of the virtual event exceeds a view boundary. In an example method for providing a virtual reality session, a virtual event is determined to correspond to an informational notification, a haptic device is identified to correspond to a location of the virtual event, and activation of the haptic device in an informational notification mode is synchronized with the virtual event.

  • Patent number: 11937057
Abstract: A videoconferencing system includes a camera acquiring image data and a microphone array acquiring audio data. Image data is used in conjunction with sound source localization (SSL) data to locate a talker depicted in the image data. SSL processes the audio data and determines SSL pan angle values indicative of an estimated direction of a sound. Columns of pixels in an image are associated with bins. A bin count is incremented for each SSL pan angle value of the audio data that falls within a given bin. A bounding box in the image data is determined that encompasses a face depicted in the image data. A range of pixels is determined for the bounding box, such as extending from a leftmost column to a rightmost column. The bin with the highest bin count that also overlaps a range of pixels for a bounding box is deemed to contain the talker.

  • Patent number: 11937170
Abstract: Examples relate to managing mutually exclusive access to network slices in a communications network. A unified data management (UDM) node implementing a UDM network function of the communications network receives, from a session management function (SMF) node, a session registration request for accessing a first network slice to which a user equipment (UE) seeks access. Responsive to receiving the session registration request, the UDM node determines whether the UE has an active session registration for a second network slice, The UDM further selectively rejects the session registration request for accessing the first network slice based on a policy in response to determining that the UE has the active session registration for the second network slice.

  • Patent number: 11929988
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for dynamic virtual private network concentrators (VPNC) gateway selection and on-demand VRF-ID configuration. A dynamic VPNC gateway selection component can dynamically route to a particular VPNC gateway based on multiple user-specific factors, including: a) behavior of users on the network; and b) performance of a destination service/device. A dynamic VPNC gateway selection component can rank a user based on one or more factors relating to the behavior of the user. Also, the dynamic VPNC gateway selection component can determine whether a VPNC gateway at a data center is healthy, and whether a destination service at the data center is healthy. The dynamic VPNC gateway selection component can dynamically select a VPNC gateway from a plurality of VPNC gateways at the data center for communicating forwarded traffic from the user based on the user's ranking if either the VPNC gateway or the service are unhealthy.

  • Patent number: 11926101
Abstract: According to examples, an apparatus may include a processor and a memory on which are stored machine-readable instructions that when executed by the processor, may cause the processor to identify a property of a portion of a three-dimensional (3D) part to be fabricated and determine, based on the identified property, a thermal value associated with the portion. The instructions may also cause the processor to, based on the determined thermal value, determine a first agent composition to be used to fabricate the portion and determine a second agent composition to be used to fabricate a section external and adjacent to the portion, in which the first agent composition and the second agent composition may be determined to cause the portion and the external section to be fabricated to have the identified property while maintaining the external section separate from the portion.

  • Patent number: 11927819
Abstract: Examples described herein relate to an optical device with an integrated light-emitting structure to generate light and a waveguide integrated capacitor to monitor light. The light-emitting structure may emit light upon the application of electricity to the optical device. The waveguide integrated capacitor may be formed under the light-emitting structure to monitor the light emitted by the light-emitting structure. The waveguide integrated capacitor includes a waveguide region carrying at least a portion of the light. The waveguide region includes one or more photon absorption sites causing the generation of free charge carriers relative to an intensity of the light confined in the waveguide region resulting in a change in the conductance of the waveguide region.
