Patent number: 11937556Abstract: Drip irrigation emitters having low activation pressures, desirable flow rates, and are configured to clog less than existing emitters are provided. The disclosed emitters include membrane cavities that are devoid of a channel and a land to help advance fluid through the cavity, to an outlet, and to an outside environment. Instead, the membrane cavities have various shapes and configurations that, in conjunction with a depressed membrane, help to drive fluid out of the membrane cavity and to an outside environment. The shapes of the membrane cavities include a sinusoidal configuration, a cylindrical shape configuration, and a flat bottom configuration. Various features of such emitters, and methods of using the same, are also provided.Type: GrantFiled: August 13, 2021Date of Patent: March 26, 2024Assignee: Massachusetts Institute of TechnologyInventors: Julia Sokol, Jaya Narain, Amos Greene Winter, V, Jeffrey Costello, Dheekshita Kumar, Tristan J. Patent number: 11914853Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for configuring automatic playback settings on a media playback device. A graphical user interface displays automatic playback settings and receives selections of customized settings for automatic playback. The settings can include context granularity for automatic playback, limiting autoplay to when the media playback device is connected to a wireless network, and activating an audible notification when automatic playback of media content is beginning. An initial queue of media content is selected for playback on the media playback device. The system ascertains whether autoplay is enabled for a particular situation. If autoplay is enabled, the system automatically generates a queue of media that is related to the initial queue and initiates playback on the media playback device after the initial queue concludes.Type: GrantFiled: January 15, 2021Date of Patent: February 27, 2024Assignee: Spotify ABInventors: Adam Chase, Andrew Greene, Christopher Barthle, Eric Lundin, Jeffrey Paul Baxter, Kevin Sweeney, Mark Kizelshteyn, Matthew Young-Wook Lim, Michelle Ackerman, Thomas Gayno, Kylan McBride, Joseph Levin

Publication number: 20140013193Abstract: The approaches of the present disclosure provide for the efficient technology of intelligent association of still images with contextual information relating to sounds such as a sound that may have been ambient when a still image was captured. In particular, a user may use a media device, such as a smart phone or tablet computer, to capture a still image and record first audio, for example, at the time of capturing the still image for a predetermined period of time. The first audio may be then processed and analyzed so as to recognize a particular song or melody, and then a high quality second audio related to the recognized song or melody is downloaded and associated with the still image. Accordingly, the visual nature of still images is enhanced with data relating to contextual auditory information, which boosts the sensory and memory experience for the user.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 28, 2013Publication date: January 9, 2014Inventors: Joseph John Selinger, David Jeffrey Greene
