  • Patent number: 9854005
Abstract: Methods and apparatus to provide data network services to a non-registering endpoint are disclosed herein. A disclosed method includes, transmitting, by executing an instruction with a processor, information identifying the non-registering endpoint and a first list identifying a plurality of proxy-call session control functions to a plurality of serving-call session control functions, the plurality of proxy-call session control functions being statically assigned to process calls to the non-registering endpoint when selected by any of the plurality of serving-call session control functions. In the disclosed example method, the non-registering endpoint is unable to register with any data network. The first list can be provided to the plurality of serving-call session control functions in response to an event.

  • Patent number: 9571528
Abstract: Many of the current IMS standards and enriched services were originally designed for the individual subscribers that are serviced by the wireless network. However, the IMS standards do not fully address the problem of providing the IMS enriched services and features to business PBX customers or wholesale customers that do not directly register to the IMS network. The present invention discloses a method for providing IMS enriched services and features to business PBX customers or wholesale customers through the use of a static provisioning and registration method.

  • Patent number: 9083793
Abstract: Many of the current IMS standards and enriched services were originally designed for the individual subscribers that are serviced by the wireless network. However, the IMS standards do not fully address the problem of providing the IMS enriched services and features to users connected to a PBX. The present invention discloses a method for providing IMS enriched services and features to users connected to a PBX or an IP-PBX. Access to network services can be secured through a web-friendly interface via the IMS, enabling third-party developers, service providers and even subscribers to self-manage their service experience while the network operator retains control over network resources.

  • Patent number: 9036590
Abstract: A method and apparatus for sharing a single data channel for multiple signaling flows destined to multiple core networks are disclosed. For example, the method receives a plurality of service requests from a plurality of corresponding service clients on a single mobile endpoint device, where each of the plurality of corresponding service clients is to be registered with a different corresponding Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) network. The method establishes the single data channel to support a plurality of signaling flows associated with the plurality of service requests simultaneously, and routes each signaling message associated with the plurality of service requests to the corresponding IMS network.

  • Patent number: 9030956
Abstract: Different services are provided to different users or groups of users of an aggregate endpoint in an internet protocol multimedia subsystem (IMS) network. The different users or groups of users are differentiated based on service profiles designated by different PUIDs for the different users or groups of users of each of the users or groups of users. Different services for transmission and/or receipt of packets for the different users or groups of users of the aggregate endpoint are provided, depending upon the differentiation between the different users or groups of users.

  • Patent number: 8654957
Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing one or more Internet Protocol (IP) services to users of a private branch exchange (PBX) in a network are disclosed. For example, the method receives user phone information from the private branch exchange (PBX) via a data feed, and stores the user phone information in a storage device located within the network.

  • Patent number: 8611344
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for providing multi-homing to an aggregate endpoint device over a network are disclosed. In one embodiment, the method receives a session request directed towards a user endpoint device by a routing device. The method receives at least one Public User Identity (PUID) for the user endpoint device if the session request is for a subscriber of a service with multi-homing via an aggregate endpoint device. The method selects a route for sending the session request in accordance with the at least one PUID and a route priority information of the PUID associated with the user end point device, wherein the route with a highest priority is selected, and forwards the session request via the selected route.
