Publication number: 20130207478Abstract: Furniture components, such as office furniture components, are configured to include electronic components that transfer electrical power to peripheral electronic devices via wireless technologies, including conductive and inductive technologies. The articles of furniture may include grommet devices received within work surfaces, the grommet devices incorporating or housing the electronics of wireless power systems. The articles of furniture may also include the electronics of wireless power systems physically embedded or integrated within work surfaces in a manner in which the continuous surfaces of the work surfaces are maintained, and the work surfaces may optionally further include lighting or other indication features to indicate the locations of the electronics to a user.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 16, 2012Publication date: August 15, 2013Applicant: KIMBALL INTERNATIONAL, INC.Inventors: Keith E. Metcalf, Terry Carroll, Jay M. Henriott, Samial Keith Johnson, Donald Woods

Patent number: 5013304Abstract: An intravascular catheter assembly includes a catheter needle sheath having a retractable needle which is moved upon slidable movement of a handle member that is slidably mounted in the housing of the catheter needle sheath. The catheter needle safety sheath is insertable into a catheter or into a catheter adapter and backflow device which is in turn insertable into the catheter. The backflow device includes an elastomeric diaphragm disposed therein which re-seals upon withdrawal of the needle therefrom and advantageously prevents excessive fluid leakage from the catheter. The catheter needle safety sheath provides an improved means for disposing of the used needle since the handle member may be slidably moved in a rearward direction so as to retract the needle within the sheath. Both the catheter needle safety sheath as well as the catheter adapter and backflow device prevent unnecessary exposure to bodily fluids which may transmit diseases and thereby enhance the safety of the operators of these devices.Type: GrantFiled: February 22, 1989Date of Patent: May 7, 1991Assignee: BFD, Inc.Inventors: John P. Russell, Terry Carroll, Sam Miller

Patent number: 4979714Abstract: A hanger clip in the shape of a closed "S" having co-planar, symmetrical loops. The end portions of the hanger clip are bent at their termini at an approximately ninety (90.degree.) degree angle with the vertices of these forming approximately ninety (90.degree.) degree angles and being located adjacent the mid-region of the hanger clip.Type: GrantFiled: October 5, 1989Date of Patent: December 25, 1990Assignee: Infection Control Products, Inc.Inventors: John P. Russell, Terry Carroll
