  • Patent number: 8244714
Abstract: In accordance with embodiments, there are provided mechanisms and methods for generating a custom report using outer joins in the context of an on-demand database service. These mechanisms and methods for generating an on-demand database service custom report can enable embodiments to generate reports that reflect a relationship between at least two different objects. The ability of embodiments to provide such additional insight into database contents may lead to more efficient and effective reporting.

  • Publication number: 20100250565
Abstract: Systems and methods for creating an aggregation metric object for use in accelerating data update operations. One or more source objects are identified, a target object is identified, and fields between the one or more source objects and the target object are mapped. Fields in the target object are automatically updated pursuant to a user defined schedule; and updates to a dashboard object using the target object are provided upon request from the user to update the dashboard object.

  • Publication number: 20060237444
Abstract: A current sensor for installation on a conductor without breaking the conductor may include an insulating base having a conductor supporting portion and a conductive coil disposed within an outer surface of the insulating base. A magnetically permeable conductor retaining member includes a portion that passes through the coil and is secured to the insulating base. The retaining member defines a conductor receiving aperture portion with the aperture portion being disposed adjacent the conductor supporting portion of the insulating base. With a conductor positioned within the aperture portion, the conductor is secured by the retaining member to the conductor receiving portion of the insulating base and a substantially continuous permeable path is formed by the conductor retaining member about the conductor.

  • Patent number: 7074834
Abstract: A veterinary composition comprising a guanidine derivative, e.g., guanabenz or guanabenz acetate is provided which produces a rapid acting and long lasting sedative and analgesic effect in a subject animal that is selectively reversible. The use of guanabenz in the horse provides for a safe, effective, long lasting and rapidly reversible sedative and analgesic which can be used on the standing animal. Methods of use of the compositions of the invention are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20050043288
Abstract: A chemically marked procaine penicillin is provided as an antibiotic which can be distinguished from procaine used for anesthetic purposes. A preferred embodiment provides a procaine penicillin molecule wherein the procaine portion of the molecule comprises one or more substituted deuterium atoms in place of hydrogen atoms typically found in procaine penicillin. The resulting non-radioactive isotope can be easily identified via mass spectrometry as being distinct from any naturally occurring isotope, without negatively impacting the pharmacological nature of the drug itself. An alternative embodiment of the invention provides a method of marking the procaine penicillin through the substitution of various other isotopes in place of their naturally occurring counterparts. Methods of detection of the marked procaine penicillin molecule are also provided.

  • Patent number: 6718271
Abstract: A fault detection apparatus for use in an electrical distribution network to distinguish normal network operations from various network faults. Pre-event and post-vent signal patterns are compared and analyzed to produce an event characteristic which distinguishes the faulted feeder and the faulted phase. The characteristic also allows for discrimination between the various events and controls network response accordingly.
