A plurality of primary fasteners are provided for mounting in the four suspension mounting holes of the helmet. The front section of the platform is securable alone to the helmet, by a first two of the primary fasteners extending into a first two of the mounting holes of the helmet. The front section and the side sections of the platform are securable together to the helmet, by the first two of the primary fasteners extending into the first two mounting holes of the helmet and by a second two of the primary fasteners extending into the second two mounting holes of the helmet. A novel mandible and face shield with attachment stems are provided.

Abstract: Disclosed is a face mask for use with a sports helmet. The face mask comprises a frame which is sized and shaped to surround at least a portion of the face of a user, and is connectable to the helmet. A shielding member is connected to the frame, and has a plurality of wires arranged in a grid, which define a plurality of openings therebetween. At least a portion of the wires are made from high tensile strength transparent wires.

The inner element includes a torso element made of a body control material such as Lycra® to provide full body control circumferentially about a wearer and a finishing element made of a lacy material and terminating with a scalloped edge to prevent the formation of a panty line under the outer garment. The outer garment is also made of a stretchable fabric that contours the body and is comfortable to wear.

The adjustable band radially constricts an area when tightened, the lift arrangement urges the panels toward the collar when the straps are coupled, and the collar is foldable to cover the straps.

The fasteners are respectively located at the two ends of the first strap. In this configuration, the first strap is adapted for fitting about the sole of a foot of the person, and the second strap is adapted for fitting about the heel of the foot. The fasteners are adapted for being attached to the distal end of the pant leg so as to hold the distal end of the pant leg in place about the person's ankle region.

Abstract: An open view facemask visor is an apparatus composed of a high impact resistive material any portion of which is capable of filtering or reflecting light. The visor is formed by shaping a nominally thick sample of the impact resistive material such that the finished product can be affixed either over or under a given helmet facemask design. Once installed, an open view facemask visor enhances the protection of a sporting helmet facemask by providing the user a barrier to light, glare, or debris without obscuring the “open view” to the user's eyes. Whether by integrating a clear section in the tinting of the high impact resistive material or simply providing a physically open, or cut-out, section in the visor, proper positioning of the visor shield on the facemask will not obstruct one's ability to view the helmet wearer's eyes.

Abstract: A damper device for retarding pivotal advancement of a hinged wall piece towards a hinging wall piece includes a tubular housing adapted to be mounted on one of the hinged and hinging wall pieces, a resisting seat with a resisting end, a position shifting mechanism disposed to couple the resisting seat to the housing such that the resisting seat is retainingly shiftable relative to the housing to permit movement of the resisting end, and a damper unit which has impacted and abutment ends and which is compressible such that, upon being pushed by an impact force, the impacted end is thrust towards the abutment end so as to acquire a damping force to counteract the impact force. The abutment end is engaged and moved with the resisting end for adjustment of the damping force.
