Abstract: A finger guard system may include a finger guard adapted to be worn on a finger of a user, and a thumb guard adapted to be worn on a thumb of the user. The finger guard may include a substantially tubular finger guard main body having a top, a bottom, an upper portion, a lower portion, and a medial portion including a bend so that the upper portion is angled with respect to the lower portion. The finger guard may also include a longitudinal slit that extends along the bottom of the finger guard main body from the upper portion thereof to the lower portion thereof. The thumb guard has a substantially tubular thumb guard main body having a top, a bottom, an upper portion, a lower portion, and a medial portion that includes a bend so that the upper portion is angled with respect to the lower portion. A longitudinal slit may formed through the thumb guard main body on the bottom and extending the entire length of the bottom.

If a situation arises that leg loops are desired, the firefighter harness includes a front pouch that can be ripped open to release the leg loops. The leg loops may each be fastened around the appropriate leg and clipped together via standard quick- connect buckles.

An exercise and training device for swimmers in the form of a shirt, top, or singlet that, due to the material of manufacture, increases the resistance to the swimmer's movement through the water.

Devices with S loop or omega loop are described together with a comfort unit for a strap harness.

Abstract: Provided is a woven fabric which is suitable for use as a covering fabric for down garments, down jackets, bedclothes, sleeping bags, etc. The woven fabric is lightweight and thin, has a high tear strength, and can retain low air permeability even after laundering. The woven fabric is constituted of synthetic multifilament yarns. The woven fabric is characterized in that at least one side thereof has been calendered and the monofilaments in at least part of the synthetic multifilament yarns have been thereby compressed in a stacked state. The woven fabric is further characterized in that the monofilaments are fibers having an unusual cross-section, the degree of unusualness of the cross section as determined before calendering being 2.0-6.0, that the synthetic multifilament yarns have a fineness of 7-44 dtex, and that the woven fabric has a cover factor of 1,300-2,200.

Abstract: A garment comprising one or more body openings for passage of a patient's head and/or extremities. The garment is slit away from, and generally perpendicular to, at least one body opening, such as extending along a leg or arm of the garment, to provide a closable opening for ready access to a wearer's treatment site with minimum discomfort to the wearer. The edge of the closable opening preferably includes hook-and-loop or zipper fastener material. The garment is formed of at least a durable outer layer material and a reduced-friction inner layer material and includes an exterior pocket for receiving a palliative element such as a thermal transfer element or a cushioning element. Preferably, the pocket area of the garment includes a waterproof layer, which may be the inner layer material or a separate layer.

Abstract: A patient gown for a nursing mother is disclosed, the patient gown includes an outer gown releasably fastened in a front thereof, an upper portion of said outer gown having shoulder straps cooperating to form the upper opening, wherein a front of the shoulder straps is fastened to a back of the shoulder straps, and an inner jacket fastened to an interior of the outer gown. The outer gown and inner jacket cooperate to provide coverage of a desired portion of the body of the patient, as well as coverage of a nursing child, as desired.

Abstract: A necktie knot stay apparatus that functions to prevent any significant slipping of a necktie knot, which may otherwise occur as the result of a wearer's regular movement. The necktie knot stay apparatus provides a comfortable solution where the wearer does not have to over-tighten the necktie knot in order to prevent the necktie knot from slipping. The necktie knot stay apparatus operates to allow the wearer to wear a necktie at a comfortable tightness around the neck while enhancing visual appearance by not allowing the necktie knot to slip beyond a desired position. Abstract: Methods and apparatus for securely holding a tool are provided. The apparatus includes a glove covering a user's palm and fingers. This flap has a piece of adhesive fabric attached. An additional piece of adhesive fabric is placed on the glove over the user's thumb pad. On the back of the user's hand, over the user's fingernails are located additional pieces of adhesive fabric. In use, the user grasps the tool normally and uses the flap and the adhesive fabric pieces to secure the adhesive fabric, forming a secure grip.

Abstract: A clinical sensing glove system to quantify force, shear, hardness, etc., measured in manual therapies is disclosed. A sensor is disposed in a clinical glove. The sensor undergoes micro-bending, macro-bending, evanescent coupling, a change in resonance, a change in polarization, a change in phase modulation, in response to pressure/force applied. The amount of micro-bending, macro-bending, evanescent coupling, change in resonance, change in polarization, and/or change in phase modulation is proportional to the intensity of the pressure/force. A clinician can quantitatively determine the amount of pressure, force, shear, hardness, rotation, etc., applied.

Abstract: A cap according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes a head receiving portion stretchable along at least one direction and worn on the head, a sweat absorbing member disposed along a lower edge of the head receiving portion, absorbing sweat from the forehead, and is partly stretchable along the head circumferential direction of the head receiving portion, The sweat absorbing member comprises a non-stretchability added portion at a location that corresponds to the forehead of a wearer and a material for adding non-stretchability to the non-stretchability added portion does not directly contact the forehead.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a cap bill plate having multiple-layers. The multiple layer of the cap bill plate includes three layers, a first layer, a second layer, and a third layer. The first layer includes a reflective layer thereby providing greater visibility. Since the second layer is totally foamed so as to reduce its weight, the cap wearer will feel better comfort. Besides, the third layer includes a moldable material which allows itself to be shaped in any desired structure.

Abstract: A system for interchangeable customized headwear is provided that improves the user experience and attractiveness of safety products, especially safety products designed to protect the head. The system provides for interchangeable customized outer coverings that can be replaced and/or reoriented. In one embodiment, a shell has a plurality of shell connectors disposed on a surface of the shell. An outer covering has a pre-determined shape and a plurality of outer covering connectors, each outer covering connector configured to couple to an associated shell connector. In one embodiment, the pre-determined shape is one of: a baseball cap shape, fitted baseball cap shape, military-style cap shape, trucker-style cap shape, cowboy hat shape, jockey hat shape, and winter beanie hat shape. In one embodiment, the plurality of shell connectors is operable to couple the outer covering to the shell in at least two alternate orientations.

The material is preferably a soft, non-woven, absorbent material. The underwear is particularly suited for women who wear tight pants, or low waist hip hugger pants, which widely reveal waist bands and seams of panty underwear, or expose underwear waist bands. Abstract: A dual-connection rubber ball for cleaning and descaling in a heat exchange tube, which belongs to the field of cleaning and descaling in the heat exchange tube includes two solid rotatable bodies, elastic cleaning and descaling fins and an intermediate elastic connecting body, the elastic cleaning and descaling fins are disposed uniformly in the circumferential direction of the two solid rotatable bodies, the intermediate elastic connecting body is connected to the two solid rotatable bodies respectively at it two ends, the thickness of the fin is 0.6-2 mm, the ratio of height to thickness of the fin is 1.25-4, the intermediate elastic connecting body can be formed as a cylinder shaped body, a sheet shaped body or a compound body thereof, the diameter of the cylinder shaped intermediate elastic connecting body is 1/10 to ½ of the inner diameter of the heat exchange tube. The thickness of the sheet shaped intermediate elastic connecting body is 1/25 to ? of the inner diameter of the heat exchange tube.

Abstract: A textured wipe is provided that includes a non-woven or woven cotton wipe sheet, and in some embodiments a plurality of beads and/or a coating. The cotton wipe sheet has a wipe surface and an opposing back surface. The plurality of beads is adhered to the wipe surface. Each bead is formed to have a three dimensional geometry that extends outwardly from the wipe surface.
