Abstract: A device and method for protecting the nails on a hand or foot from discoloration during a skin tanning process. The device is a one-piece “nail glove” configured to only cover the distal ends of the fingers or toes, while leaving the rest of the hand or foot exposed for the skin tanning process. The glove, which may be produced in the form of a low-cost disposable unit, is made from one or more materials, preferably UV resistant, and in some embodiments also biodegradable. The glove will be applied to the tips of the fingers or toes prior to the skin tanning process, kept on during the skin tanning process, and then removed afterwards. Various low cost materials and methods of producing and dispensing the device are also taught.

Abstract: A glove employable for mixed martial arts, including striking and grappling, employs a dorsal pad having distal and lateral extensions with an integral bend for covering both the dorsal and lateral sides of the user's metacarpal/proximal phalange joints. The integral bend conforms with the user's metacarpal/proximal phalange joints with the user's hand in the clinched fist position. The glove affords protection to the user's metacarpal/proximal phalange joints while striking. On the other hand, the integral bend is capable of easily unbending to an open position for grappling. The integral bend is unbent by unclenching the user's fingers by flexion from the clinched fist position to the open position. The glove also includes a wrist pad for protecting the wrist against heavy strikes.

Abstract: A golf glove is disclosed with a circular contact patch designated, with biomechanical precision, in the centre of the palm that indicates a neutral hand position. In the modern, total body golf swing, where the rotating torso is the major power generator of the golf swing, the arms and hands are flung around, and in front, of the rotating body during the downswing. The primary function of the hands is to hold onto the clubshaft in such a manner that the clubface will be allowed to become square to the ball-target line at the time of impact, and this feat is best accomplished if the hands are in the neutral position.

Abstract: A finger nail tip cover which acts as a typing aid for users when typing with long finger nails. It is made of rubber material and has one hard end, to prevent the nail tip from passing thru when typing and a semi-oval stretchy cavity at the other end where the finger nail tip is placed in.

Abstract: Protective absorbent garment accessories are disclosed herein and include an elasticized component and at least one absorbing component. In some embodiments, contemplated protective arm garment accessories comprise an elasticized component, at least one absorbing component and at least one twist or bunch component. In other embodiments, contemplated absorbent protective neck or head garment accessories comprise an elasticized component, at least one absorbing component and at least one twist or bunch component. At least one of these components may be made from, comprise or consist entirely of fabric. In some embodiments, contemplated absorbent protective garment accessories may be coupled with another garment, such as a glove, sleeve, cap, hat or stylist's protective cape.

Abstract: A swimsuit with lifesaving device is disclosed. The lifesaving device for the swimsuit includes an inflatable bag having an air inlet and embedded in a double-layer structure of the swimsuit to invisibly locate behind a front side of the swimsuit; a manual inflating tube connected at an end to the air inlet and embedded in the double-layer structure with an opposite end exposed from the swimsuit to provide a mouthpiece; a branch tube extended from the manual inflating tube and embedded in the double-layer structure; and an automatic inflator connected to a distal end of the branch tube and embedded in the double-layer structure to locate in a rear side of the swimsuit. The inflatable bag can be manually inflated via the mouthpiece or automatically inflated via the automatic inflator to serve as a buoy, which is helpful in learning swimming and in case of emergency in water.

Foam at least partly fills each cell. Cells under a crown of the shell are connected in a first circuit with a valve for inflating these cells and a other cells under temporal and occipital portions of the shell are connected in a second inflation circuit with a valve for inflating the second plurality of the cells. Cells under the frontal portion not being inflatable and being substantially filled with foam padding.

The connecting elements are hooks that are connected fixedly to the decorative or functional element and are hooked in the helmet shell.

Abstract: Facial coverings and eyewear systems are provided herein for improving the ease and comfort of wearing facemasks with a goggle. In some embodiments, a facemask frame is provided that can removably attach to a facemask or face covering to a goggle. In some embodiments, a separate facemask, such as a cloth covering, can be provided. In some embodiments, a facemask can be interconnected with the facemask frame to secure the facemask relative to the goggle during use for covering a portion of the wearer's face.

The baffle is attached to the first and second fabrics so as to form a plurality of triangular-shaped chambers between the first and second fabrics. In other words, the baffle forms a zigzag-like pattern between the first and second fabrics. Another multi-layered construction also includes a first fabric, a second fabric, and a baffle disposed between the first and second fabrics. This baffle has a non-rectangular cross-section. More particularly, in certain examples, the baffle may have at least one curved edge and/or at least one tapered edge. In other examples, the baffle may have a vase-like cross-section having at least two curved edges.

The shoulder pads (2) protect an individual wearing the protective shoulder pads (2) against impact to the superior, anterior, posterior and/or lateral regions of the shoulder and upper arm. Release mechanism (7) allows the protective shoulder pads (2) to be more safely and easily removed from the individual wearing the protective shoulder pads (2) while the individual wearing the protective shoulder pads (2) is maintained in the supine position, thus decreasing the risk of further injuring the individual wearing the protective shoulder pads (2).

The toilet seat lifting device can be designed to be attached to a conventional toilet seat or the toilet seat lifting device can be formed integrally with a toilet seat and provided as a replacement assembly for a conventional toilet seat. The toilet seat lifter provides a clean and sanitary means for lifting and lowering the toilet seat without direct contact therewith.

Abstract: A multi-functional therapy pool for use in physical rehabilitation, strengthening exercises and recreational purposes. The multi-functional therapy pool preferably has a generally rectangular shape wherein one side of the pool is provided with patient entry means and a seating area adjacent thereto. The remaining three sides of the pool are preferably provided with a continuous overflow gutter formed upon the upper periphery that is operative to catch splashes and minimize waves during physical activity within the pool. A number of therapeutic modalities will further be integrated within the pool, including spa jets, integrated underwater treadmill, and specialized hand rails to facilitate access in and out of the pool.

The upper portion may have back, neck and head cushioning.

Abstract: The present invention concerns yarns comprising copolymer derived from the copolymerization of para-phenylenediamine, 5(6)-amino-2-(p-aminophenyl)benzimidazole; and terephthaloyl dichloride wherein the ratio of moles of 5(6)-amino-2-(p-aminophenyl)benzimidazole to the moles of para-phenylenediamine is 30/70 to 85/15. The yarns have a sulfur content greater than 0.1%; and have an effective polymer cation to sulfur content molar ratio of at least 0.3. Additional aspects of the invention concern methods of producing such yarns.

To use the device, a user inserts the toothbrush bristle strips into their mouth so to engage the user's teeth. Abstract: A device to remove pests from a living area that includes a disposable piece of paper attached thereto. Includes a flat flexible paddle-like head and an elongated handle. Attached to the head is a paper holding clip for holding the disposable paper. The disposable paper has lightly tacky adhesive glue on one side. The paper holding clip is squeezable to retain or release the paper. Connected to the paper holding clip is a trigger on the elongated handle to open the paper holding clip, thereby releasing the paper. To utilize the present invention, a user opens the jaws of the paper holding clip. The jaws are clamped down onto the paper. A user touches the tacky side of the paper to the pest. thereby adhering the pest. Utilizing the trigger and opening the paper holding clip, the paper having the adhered pest is dropped harmlessly into the trash.

When the first end of the pressing element is pressed, the cleaning fluid in the receiving space is flow or sprayed out through one side of the receiving space that faces the opening. An accommodating space is defined in the housing between the receiving space and the opening and is configured to accommodate a portion of the wiping element so that the portion of the wiping element can be positioned in the housing and completely cover the opening.

Abstract: A cleaning aid for use during bowel or urinary discharge has a body, a removable soil wiper and an ejector. Control buttons on the cleaning aid allow a user to activate liquid dispensed on the soil wiper, a vacuum and or machine for removing soil and liquid and a soil wiper ejector. The body has a plurality of cleaning areas for wet and dry cleaning. The first cleaning portion is in fluid communication with a liquid container on the body. The second cleaning portion is in fluid communication with the vacuum or machine. The body is adapted to conform to the shape of the user body when rubbed against the user in a cleaning motion direction. The wiper can be a tube-let on the toilet seat with a manual and/or machine controlling system. The tube toilet seat has the capability of self cleaning, drying and disinfecting after each use guarded by sensor and motorized technology.

The arm is moved by an actuator mechanism which includes a first pulley coupled to a drive shaft, a second pulley coupled to an end of the arm, a belt drivingly coupling the first pulley to the second pulley. The outer arm is slidably coupled to the inner arm and a spring is biased to urge the outer arm radially inwardly. A track is formed by the frame and a roller rides along the track and is rotatably coupled to an end of the outer arm.

The engaging slot of the control handle includes the detachable connecting member, such that the engaging slot of the control handle can be securely assembled onto different types of water valves, which increase the convenience of the assembly for the control handle.

Abstract: According to the present invention, in various door constructions, a projection of a door leaf can be easily inserted in a hollow of a doorframe, height of the door leaf can be minutely adjusted, and an interval between the door leaf and the doorframe can be easily adjusted, which can result in easy fastening of the door leaf and the doorframe and reduced construction time. In addition, since the door leaf can be completely fastened to the doorframe through the locking mechanism, the door leaf can be prevented from being twisted in long use, thereby increasing its durability.

The first and second ends are pulled in opposite directions until a desired loop size is reached where a rung at the selected aperture stretches into a flattened rung, while another rung being squeezed in the selected aperture arches into an arched rung and interlocks with the flattened rung. The second end is pulled in a reversed direction to release the loop. A method of tying items together is also disclosed.

Abstract: An apparatus for altering the positioning of a seat belt shoulder strap relative to a user is presented. More specifically, an apparatus is presented whereby alteration of the positioning of a seat belt shoulder strap relative to a user is engendered via direct interaction between an intermediate point of the shoulder strap and a body part of the user. The now disclosed invention seeks to remediate the problem of discomfort caused by the positioning of a seatbelt shoulder strap in relation to a user through the use of an apparatus that alters the positioning of the shoulder strap in relation to a user by force generated through the interaction of the user's body with a means of restraining the shoulder strap.
