Abstract: A hand covering for gripping handles comprises a covering body with a necking portion to enclose around a handle and an entrance for hands to put into. The front end of the necking portion is gradually enlarged to the entrance. A fixed hole is defined at the front end of the necking portion. The covering body has a receiving space defined therein for receiving hands. The receiving space is communicated with the fixed hole and the entrance. The receiving space has a warming member defined at the inner peripheral of the covering body for keeping the hands warm in the receiving space and for absorbing the sweat from hands.

Abstract: Apparel articles such as undergarments, performance apparel, and other articles of clothes are described. The apparel articles incorporate various combinations of materials and fabrics to offer breathability, water repellency, wicking, moisture management, odor-free protection, and/or other benefits. The articles can have an open- or closed-front design. Further, an insert can be fixed or removably secured to a gusset section of the article to offer replacement and cleaning convenience. The inserts can be comprised of materials such as viscose, polyester, and/or other materials.

Abstract: The mittenshirt integrates a polar fleece pullover garment with a mitten for the purpose of preventing mittens from being pulled off. When worn under a jacket it also serves the purpose of covering the gap between the jacket sleeve and typical mittens to keep the wrist covered. The mittenshirt was originally designed for special needs children who would not keep mittens on but it is also useful for any child playing outside in the cold. The unique opening approximately 3 inches above the wrist on the palm side allows the child to pull their hand back up the sleeve and then slide the hand out without taking off the mittenshirt or the jacket worn over the mittenshirt.

Abstract: An athletic garment including a panel designed to reduce frictional and pressure drag around an appendage of an athlete competing in a high-speed event, such as running and cycling. The panel is positioned to encircle the appendage, and is provided with regions having different surface texture roughnesses. The leading edge of the panel includes texture designed to enhance the laminar boundary layer, while the adjacent portion of the panel includes texture intended to trip the boundary layer to turbulent flow. The drag-reducing panel may be the cuff of a sock, a sleeve, wristband, a headband, or the like.

Abstract: Underwear includes: a front body (10) formed by a stretchable material and having a cylindrical high neck portion (11) covering a neck at a top portion thereof; and a back body (13) formed by a stretchable material, having both bottom side edges stitched to both bottom side edges of the front body (10), a top edge stitched to a region from a bottom end of the neck portion (11) to a shoulder, and both top side edges forming armholes (3), wherein the front body (10) is made of a cylindrical material and is formed by cutting the cylindrical material in an axial direction from a bottom opening portion thereof to the high neck portion (11), and the back body (13) is made of a cylindrical material and is formed by cutting the cylindrical material in an axial direction from one end opening portion thereof to the other end opening portion.

Abstract: A garment for a disabled or infirm patient having a series of tie fasteners for easy disrobing and reattaching, the tie fasteners having a ribbon on a first seam attached at its middle, passing through one or more buttonholes on a mating seam, whereupon the free ends of the tie can be tied into a bow. The ribbon is secured using first and second box stitches, one inside the other, along with an X stitch. The fastening system can be used in a multitude of styles, including closures along the front, side(s), back, and top of the garment.

Abstract: An embodiment is disclosed of a method of making gloves, more particularly polyvinyl chloride (PVC) coated gloves. The method comprises providing a liner, and coating at least a part of the liner with a PVC paste to form a coating having an outer layer, applying particles of a soluble solid to the outer layer of the coating and curing the outer layer. Preferably, the method further comprises gelling the outer layer after applying the particles and contacting the gelled outer layer with a solvent before curing. Preferably, the soluble solid comprises a solid acid.

Abstract: Garments are provided that include feltable fibers in selected areas to provide high durability. Garments are manufactured with feltable fibers is selected areas, such as high wear or high impact areas, and are then subjected to the felting (or fulling) process to produce a garment having partially felted fibers on the selected areas. Such a garment may be a sock with felted areas selected in the heel and toe areas. Such socks have enhanced resistance to wear in these high wear areas, and therefore are useable for longer periods of time for the user of the sock.

Abstract: A motorsports helmet having an isolation mount defining a receptacle is provided. An adjustment plate is selectively disposed within the receptacle at different depths and includes an ear-cup. The closure mechanism forming a seal between the outer portion containing the stop end and the inner portion containing the start end when the closure mechanism is closed at the stop end. The seal that is formed is generally impermeable to fluids, gases, vapors, aerosols and particulates. The vapor resistant closure may also include a compressible body between the outer portion of material containing the stop end and the inner portion of material containing the start end. The compressible body is compressed therebetween when the closure mechanism is closed at the stop end.

The armored vest can also include a downwardly extending retention panel having a retention member to limit vertical movement of the vest. The retention panel can be tucked into a lower body garment, and the retention member can be oversized to inhibit the sliding retraction of the retention panel from the lower body garment. The retention member can include a longitudinal foam element generally parallel to the waistline and generally coextensive with the lowermost portion of the retention panel.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a container for the collection of urine over a period of 24 hours, the inner volume of which is defined by a bottom wall, a perimetral wall and a top wall. The container comprises at least a first access mouth made on the top wall or perimetral wall, and means for drawing off the urine collected in the container. These means comprise a cup body inserted inside the container to close the first access mouth. The cup body delimits a chamber for housing a vacuum vial. On the bottom of the cup body there is an aperture which places the chamber in communication with the inner volume. These drawing means further comprise means for fluidically coupling the aperture to the vacuum vial, and a tube for sucking the urine. This tube is fluidically coupled to the aperture and extending from the bottom of the cup body as far as the bottom wall of the container.

The mechanism also includes multiple arrays of generally horizontally disposed openings at multiple levels and wherein the water is directed upwardly at an angle of between about 40° to about 60° from horizontal whereby the droplets fall onto portions of the human body. The assembly also includes a valve for stopping the spray of heated water and a heater for directing drying air at a temperature of about 35° to 45° to thereby dry the body.

Abstract: An improved drain actuates system that includes a cable to actuate a head or stopper of a drain. More specifically, one end of the cable is associated with the drain without additional moving parts and another end of the cable associated with an overflow cap of an overflow system wherein rotation of the overflow cap selectively moves the cable to move the head of the drain. The internal components associated with the overflow end of the cable that allow it to actuate the drain are fully accessible through the overflow port of the plumbing system.

Abstract: A joint between a bed frame and a fabric member is revealed. The bed frame includes a plurality of vertical tubes each of which includes an assembly space with a narrow opening. A connection portion connects a plurality of positioning blocks to the fabric member and the positioning blocks are corresponding to the assembly space of each vertical tube. Thereby positioning blocks are mounted into the assembly space from one end of the vertical tube and the connection portion is extending outward through the narrow opening of the vertical tube. Each positioning block is unable to be released from the assembly space axially due to that the outside diameter of the positioning block is larger than the width of the narrow opening. Thus the fabric member and each vertical tube are connected firmly.

The guide members each include a key guide structure that slidably engages a complementary lock guide channel in the associated wedge upper and lower sides. The apparatus includes a torso trolley joined with the angulation subassembly and adapted for moving in cephalad and caudad directions in response to upward and downward breaking of the patient support subassembly.

The cells are hollow chambers that resist deflection due to compressive forces, similar to compression springs. The arrays are attached to one or more intermedial binding layers. The intermedial binding layer(s) links the cells together while allowing the cells to deform independently of one another. An external load compresses of one of the void cells within an independent compression range without significantly compressing at least one void cell adjacent the compressed void cell. The independent compression range is the displacement range of the compressed void cell that does not significantly affect the compression of adjacent void cells. If the void cell is compressed beyond the independent compression range, the intermedial binding layers may be deflected and/or the void cells adjacent the compressed void cell may be compressed.

Thus, overcoming disadvantages of conventional wiper connectors such as having a complex structure and a poor adaptability.

Abstract: Systems which may be employed to adjust the shape of a computer housing are provided. The systems may include a measurement apparatus that measures the positions of points on the housing. A determining apparatus may determine an offset between the position of the points and reference values. An adjustment apparatus may apply force to the computer housing with actuators based on the offset at each of the points. This process may be repeated or otherwise continued until the offset is within a predetermined range of acceptable values. Related methods, assemblies, and a non-transitory computer readable medium are also provided.
