Abstract: A method for fabricating organic photovoltaic-based electricity-generating military pilot equipment, including flight suits, helmets, helmet visors, and related equipment is described. In particular, a method for fabricating such equipment utilizing lamination of highly flexible organic photovoltaic films is described. High-throughput and low-cost fabrication options also allow for economical production.

Abstract: Improved stick spot gloves are described. Such gloves are form-fitting and thus better conform to a player's hands. They also provide superior grip, and are lighter and smaller than corresponding conventional lacrosse and hockey gloves.

Abstract: A leg protector sized to fold over the wearer's leg to cover the front side of the wearer's leg while leaving the backside of the wearer's leg exposed for easily placement and removal of the leg protector. Unlike conventional gaiters and half chaps that effectively operate as a second pant leg positioned over the pants, the adjustable strap of the insulated leg protector extends across the rear side of the wearer's leg to retain the leg protector without fully covering the backside of the wearer's leg. The arrangement allows the leg protector to be quickly put on by the wearer by draping the leg protector over the wearer's leg and secured with the adjustable strap. Similarly, the leg protector can also be removed by simply undoing the adjustable strap.

Abstract: The present relates to a washable interconnection patch, a connection assembly, and an intelligent washable garment equipped therewith. The patch receives and interconnects wires to a cable. The patch comprises two matching pieces interlocking together so as to define there between two opposite apertures. One of the apertures is adapted to receive and hold the wires, and the other aperture is adapted to receive and hold the cable. One of the two matching pieces defines on an interior face a channel to interconnect the wires to the cables. The connection assembly comprises a male connector and a female connector. The male connector defines a series of independent connection points along a length thereof. The female connector is adapted to receive the male connector, and defines along a length of an inner surface thereof a series of contact points. When the male connector is inserted within the female connector, the connection points and the contact points are aligned and in contact together.

The first pant fastener and the second pant fastener attach to the inside of a pant leg.

Abstract: A garment having an outer shell with a pocket having a height below a top opening to the pocket and a width between pocket sides. An extender has opposite sides secured to the shell whereby the extender is adjacent the pocket opening, and the extender opposite sides are substantially aligned with the pocket sides. A first releasable connection is above the pocket opening between the extender and the shell. When connected, the extender is adjacent the shell at the first releasable connection holds. When released, the extender and shell define an opening substantially aligned with the pocket top opening.

Abstract: Camouflage articles are formed of arrangements of portions of different colors. The lighter colored portions or parts thereof are formed of reflective ink in that particular color. This arrangement provides the article with a camouflage appearance, altering depth perception by animals in daylight, and reflectivity at night for safety.

The constituent parts are connected to one another in a necktie assemblage. Some pieces may be constructed of rigid or semi-rigid materials of construction, for example by machining individual parts. The assemblage may be used to contain or conceal a mobile computing device, a mobile phone, a camera, a video camera, or sensors, including for gestures or biometric, atmospheric, and location data.

Abstract: Provided is a glove comprising an outer shell comprising a back portion; and a pocket sewn or glued onto the back portion with thread or attached with glue where a mirror that can be inserted into the pocket. When washing is required the mirror can be removed from the pocket and the glove washed.

Abstract: A single use disposable glove having two or more layers with a thickness which can range from 0.02 mm to 0.04 mmm for food handling with satisfactory formfitting and durability, all the way up to about 0.10 mm and above for heavy duty applications while still maintaining comfort like that of natural and synthetic rubbers. Materials such as styrene-ethylene-butadiene-styrene (SEBS) or styrene-isoprene-styrene (SIS) may be used to produce single use disposable gloves employing the cutting and sealing method. The use of these compositions could have a thickness between about 0.02 mm and about 0.1 mm or above. More importantly, the use of these compositions in the cutting and sealing process would yield a glove having better elasticity. The film quality using the various extrusion techniques would outperform a glove produced by the dipping process, not only in integrity (pinhole rate) but also in a thickness profile (uniformity).

Abstract: A rain hat with an aesthetically pleasing appearance includes a brimless hat and a cap. The brimless hat consists of an aesthetic exterior layer and the cap consists of a waterproof layer. The cap is placed within the brimless hat such that the aesthetic exterior layer is visible when the rain hat is worn by a user. When the hat is worn, a lining is in contact with the user's hair. However, the waterproof layer prevents rain water from reaching the user's hair through the lining. A cap opening of the cap can be altered through an adjustable band of the cap. The cap and the brimless hat can be fixed or detachably attached together. The lining includes a storage bag that can be used for storage when the cap and the brimless hat are not used.

Abstract: A hair band-UV protection sun visor includes an outer band and an inner band, a visor unit coupled to the band unit to be rotatable on the band unit, and a cap side coupling device that couples the band unit and the visor unit. The cap side coupling device includes a circular coupler and a latch coupler, the circular coupler is fixedly coupled to the visor unit and the latch coupler is fixedly coupled to the band unit, and the circular coupler visor unit is rotated or fixed on the latch coupler band unit.

Abstract: A headwear system may have a headband configured to fit a head of a user. At least one compliant portion is attached to the headband with a fastener. The compliant portion temporarily conforms to the head of the user in response to being positioned on the user's head. A bill may continuously extend from a body and have an information feature and at least one medallion affixed to the bill. The medallion can extend through an aperture in the information feature.

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein describe systems and methods for a hat with inflatable accessories and/or projections. In embodiments, the hat may include an air pumping system disposed within the cap configured to inflate and/or deflate the inflatable projections, wherein if the inflatable projections are inflated they may be shaped and/or sized to represent a team's logo, slogan, mascot, etc.

Abstract: Socks with ribs, channels and padding positioned to facilitate moisture movement from the interior of the sock upwardly and outwardly from a shoe or boot to aid in maintaining a dry condition for a sock and footwear. The sock heel may have an ankle open end that is connected to a leg portion. The tubular portion of the sock has multiple tube ribs transversally positioned and longitudinally spaced apart to form multiple tube channels wherein the tube ribs are formed by at least one additional yarn of material extending from an inner surface of the tubular portion. A portion of the multiple tube ribs are curved from a straight line on at least a portion of the inner surface to extend upwardly into the instep portion and may curve towards the heel portion. The toe portion of the sock may have toe ribs extending upwardly toward the instep portion.

The decorative eyelet ring comprises a ring element formed to be positionable around an existing eyelet of an article of clothing. A clasp portion extends from the ring element and comprises a set of support elements that extend distally from the ring element. The set of support elements is formed to be insertable into the existing eyelet. Each support element has a first end and a second end. The first end of each support element is connected with the ring element, and a tab extends perpendicularly from the second end of each support element for securing the decorative eyelet ring to the existing eyelet.

Abstract: A helmet consists of an inner and outer shell that are connected posterior of the head via a two degree freedom of movement rotating hinge. The connector allows for angular rotation about the inferior/superior and left/right axes. One potential mechanism for the connector is four springs, located left, right, inferior and superior of the connector, connected to both the inner and outer layers. The goal of the springs is two-fold—to provide resistance in the event that the outer layer rotates with respect to the inner layer about either axis in response to an impact or applied force, and to rapidly return the outer layer to its equilibrium position post-impact or after the removal of the applied force.

Abstract: An individual portable enclosure specifically designed to be used at a public beach shower. The enclosure hangs on the shower head stem of an outdoor post shower. The enclosure is made from a collapsible spiral spring steel frame, wrapped in lightweight plastic material. This product is specifically designed to be extremely light weight, carried on and off the beach in a small package and easily constructed for use with its spring steel design. By simply hanging the “S” hook on the shower head stem, the enclosure stretches towards the ground. Its ease of use, simplistic lightweight construction provides immediate temporary cover for showering and changing out of a wet bathing suit. The two sewn in Velcro straps add stability to the invention when attached around the vertical shower post. Inside the open sphere are sewn in pockets to hold shampoo and soap.

Abstract: The Invention is a decision making process and method to govern the combination of existing prior art associated with Pressure Bed Systems and sleep analysis tools. The invention creates a unique product that uses the biological signals of a User to generate an automated response to control a bed or mattress structure that is constructed with the relevant equipment to change the relative firmness or softness (to be described as ‘pressure’) of the bed or mattress. The intention of the automation is to better the quality of the User's sleep through the influencing of the User's bed or mattress and the assisted waking of the User at a User defined time through the same mechanism.

Abstract: A patient transfer sheet acts as a combined sling and bed cover and includes a substantially rectangular sheet portion of a size to fit over a standard bed mattress and to which are attached a plurality of straps for coupling to a hoist. The patient transfer sheet is preferably made of a single-layered material which is breathable, strong and soft. The patient transfer sheet can act as a sling for transportation/repositioning of a patient as well as a replacement bed covering to replace conventional bed linen. The patient can thus be transported onto a bed without needing to remove the patient from the sling.

A plastic shield or shields cover the entire cross sectional area of the side and cross rails so that the side rail and cross rails are easy to handle and esthetically pleasing. The system avoids the need for a person to handle cold, sometimes dirty, steel and the cross and side rails may be T-shaped or L-shaped angle irons, or other configurations and covered with plastic shields. With the plastic shields, the steel members need not be finished since the outer appearance of the steel is encased by the plastic shields and not seen by persons.

An axial distance may be measured between a reference point and the wireless device using measured distances and locations of the detection units relative to the reference point. The table is moved with respect to a gantry aperture of the apparatus based on the calculated axial distance. Controlled table movement may be movement into the gantry aperture and/or table height adjustment.

Abstract: Example dock leveler safety systems for vertically storing dock levelers are disclosed herein. An example dock leveler safety system disclosed herein may be used at a dock platform in a pit having a pit floor, where the pit floor is at a lower elevation than the dock platform and the dock platform and the pit floor define the pit. The dock leveler safety system comprises a deck to pivot relative to the dock platform between an upright position and a lowered position such that the deck extends farther over the pit floor when the deck is in the lowered position than when the deck is in the stored upright position. A sensor monitors a sensed region within the pit when the deck is in the upright position and the sensor provides a reaction signal in response to a body being detected within the sensed region. The deck enters a state of restricted movement in response to the reaction signal.

Abstract: Dock leveler safety systems for vertically storing dock levelers are disclosed herein. An example method for sensing a body present within an area of a pit at a loading dock includes monitoring the area of the pit via a sensor system by capturing an image of the area, comparing the captured image to a reference image to determine whether a body is present in the area of the pit, and commanding a deck of a dock leveler to not lower relative to the pit if the body is present.

Abstract: An electric toothbrush for use by an operator and capable of being connected to a suction device. The electric toothbrush includes a head with a plurality of bristles, at least one irrigation port, and at least one suction port, and an injection port in fluid communication with the at least one irrigation port. The electric toothbrush also includes a handle with a ventilation port in fluid communication with the at least one suction port, a user interface, and a controller. The ventilation port permits suction from the suction device to the at least one suction port and the controller is configured to actuate at least one of rotation, oscillation, and vibration of the bristles for a preset time period in response to a predetermined feedback from the operator through the user interface.
