Abstract: A milk meter for measuring a flow rate of milk, having an inlet, an outlet, and a liquid flow path from the inlet to the outlet, the milk meter has a stabilization chamber in the liquid flow path and a float in the stabilization chamber configured to float on the milk, wherein the milk meter is configured so the level of milk in the stabilization chamber depends on the flow rate of the milk flow, the milk meter also has a magnetic unit for generating a magnetic field in the stabilization chamber, which varies in a height direction of the stabilization chamber, the float contains an electronic measuring unit for measuring the strength of the magnetic field, which is a measure of the height within the stabilization chamber of the float and the strength of the magnetic field measures the flow rate of the milk.
Abstract: A vapor deposition apparatus, including: a reaction device having a reaction chamber; a first gas duct connected to the reaction chamber and configured to direct a process gas into the reaction chamber; a gas ionization device connected to the reaction device and configured to ionize a cleaning gas; and a second gas duct connected to the gas ionization device and configured to direct the cleaning gas into the gas ionization device; a common gas duct; and a three-way control mechanism. An end of the common gas duct is connected to the reaction chamber and the other end of the common gas duct is connected to a first gas port of the three-way control mechanism; the first gas duct and the gas ionization device are connected to a second gas port and a third gas port of the three-way control mechanism, respectively.
Abstract: There is provided a method and system for connecting a teat cup (4) to a first teat (1) of an udder (3). In connecting, a first reference position (10) on the first teat (1) is taken for connecting, until that reference position (10) is covered by the teat cup (4), or is otherwise no longer observed. Then, a further reference position (11) on the udder is taken for tracking movements by the dairy animal. Thus the optimum reference position (10) is used for connecting, while when this optimum position is no longer available, a further reference position (11) is taken.

Abstract: An apparatus for recognizing and determining the position of at least one teat of a milking animal includes a scanning head comprising a light source and a camera. The light source emits light into a region which is expected to contain a teat or teats and the camera captures images formed by the light. In a first scanning mode, the scanning head is moved from a low initial position upwards in a circular coil until the position of at least a first teat has been established. Thereafter, in a second scanning mode, the scanning head is moved upwards in a circular coil until the positions of all teats have been established, or a predetermined time limit has elapsed during the scanning procedure. The coil traversed during the first scanning mode is wider than the coil traversed during the second scanning mode.
