Patent number: 11930787Abstract: A system and method for training a dog is provided which teaches the dog to ignore stimuli, respond to a person when called by name, retreat, and socialize, as core behaviors. For each core behavior, the method comprises progressively challenging the dog and introducing a distinct auditory signal associated with each of the core behaviors so that when the auditory signal is given, the dog performs the associated core behavior. Additional or superfluous use of auditory signals is reduced or altogether avoided to prevent the dog's desensitization to each auditory signal. As such, the system for training a dog comprises a dog, a boundary, a valued item, and an auditory signal which may each be variously engaged according to the methods disclosed herein.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 2022Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Inventor: Tamar Geller

Patent number: 11911605Abstract: An electrical stimulation apparatus provides an electrical stimulation signal as a DC pulse train at a frequency between 20 kHz and 50 kHz, with the electrical stimulation signal applied to the body of a patient at an injury site, based on sequentially activating respective subsets among a set of electrodes included in an electrode carrier that places the electrodes in contact with the body of the patient. An electrical stimulation method sequentially activates, via an electrical stimulation signal, respective subsets of electrodes among a set of electrodes contacting the body of a patient at an injury site on the body of the patient. Advantageously, in one or more embodiments, the sequential activation follows an activation sequence that “moves” the sources and sinks for the electrical stimulation signal around the injury site, thereby creating spatially distributed signal paths through or across the injury over time.Type: GrantFiled: March 5, 2021Date of Patent: February 27, 2024Assignee: TrueRelief LLCInventors: John Crosson, Herminio Llevat

Patent number: 11805754Abstract: A system for training animals includes a hand-held device and a remote device, where the remote device applies a stimulus when a user presses a button or trigger on the hand-held device. The amount of pressure applied is measured by a pressure sensitive transducer and transformed into proportional transducer signals. These transducer signals are transmitted to the remote device, which then applies a stimulus to an animal being trained. The amplitude of the applied stimulus corresponds to the amplitude of the transducer signals; a trainer can thus precisely control the intensity of the stimulus by applying and relieving pressure on the button. The type of stimulus applied is controlled based on the position of a rotary switch on the hand-held device. Sensor data generated by specialized sensors in the remote device may be transmitted to the hand-held device to provide the user with sensory feedback.Type: GrantFiled: October 17, 2022Date of Patent: November 7, 2023Assignee: CJE Products, LLCInventors: Chad R. Patent number: 11346708Abstract: The invention discloses a bark detection method. An induction coil located in a magnetic field is arranged in a bark stop device worn on a head and neck part of a pet dog, and is configured to monitor a violent vibration action of a throat part of the pet dog. Violent vibration of the throat part of the pet dog during barking causes relative displacement between the magnetic field and the induction coil, so that the induction coil cuts magnetic lines of force of the magnetic field and generates an induction current. The induction current is collected and compared to judge whether the pet dog is barking or not. By using the induction current generated by the induction coil as a basis for judging whether the pet dog is barking or not, judging accuracy can be improved, and erroneous judgment is reduced to a great degree. The invention also discloses a bark detection device and a bark stop device with the device.Type: GrantFiled: April 9, 2020Date of Patent: May 31, 2022Inventor: Chaocheng Qiu

Patent number: 7918190Abstract: An electronic animal containment system with direction-of-approach determination, or direction-sensitive animal containment system. The direction-sensitive animal containment system generally contains a transmitter unit connected to a wire loop bounding a containment area and a receiver unit carried by the animal. A window pane is integrally formed with the window about the outer perimeter of the window and extends laterally outwardly of the perimeter of the window to overlie a portion of the inner surface of the framing wall proximate the window thereby integrating the pane with the framing wall, thereby effecting an extended seal between the pane and the framing wall and simultaneously enhancing the strength and rigidity of the framing wall. In one embodiment, the pane is integrally molded with the framing wall.Type: GrantFiled: July 25, 2007Date of Patent: May 4, 2010Assignee: Radio Systems CorporationInventor: Steven M. Schrick

Patent number: 7679517Abstract: An identifying apparatus which can identify objects having electronic identification devices (EIDs). The identifying apparatus includes multiple EID readers positioned in a spaced apart relationship to define multiple pathways so that EIDs carried by the objects can pass in a single file through any one of the multiple pathways. Each EID reader is adapted to read any EID as the objects pass through any one of the pathways. Each EID carried by an object is recorded only once irrespective of the number of times an EID reader reads an EID.Type: GrantFiled: May 22, 2003Date of Patent: March 16, 2010Assignee: Aleis Trakit Pty LtdInventor: John Finlayson
