Boiler Receiving Hot Liquid Or Steam From Stove Or Furnace (e.g., Kitchen Boiler, Range Boiler, Etc.) Patents (Class 126/361.1)
  • Patent number: 10378830
Abstract: An energy storage device for temporarily storing thermal energy includes a closed storage circuit, to which heat can be supplied by a heat source and from which heat can be withdrawn by a heat consumer. A fluid container is divided into a first fluid storage chamber for colder fluid and a second fluid storage chamber for warmer fluid by a displaceable separating element. The closed storage circuit includes at least one pump for conveying fluid from the first fluid storage chamber into the second fluid storage chamber, and/or vice versa. The energy storage device may be incorporated into a power plant.

  • Patent number: 9759379
Abstract: A gas storage structure includes: a container and a continuous coiled pipe supported by the container, the continuous coiled pipe including a major portion formed of thin walled pipe and a thick walled pipe defining an end of the continuous coiled pipe, the thick walled pipe having a wall thickness thicker than the thin walled pipe, the thick walled pipe being welded at a welded joint to the major portion to place an inner diameter of the thick walled pipe into communication with an inner diameter of the major portion and the thick walled pipe being connected to the container, while the major portion is free of any rigid, such as welded, connections to the container.

  • Patent number: 9488543
Abstract: The electronic device is provided with an automatic leak detection means, notably for a gas leak, in the case of the device. The automatic leak detection means includes a pressure sensor, a temperature sensor and a calculation unit connected to the pressure sensor and to the temperature sensor. The calculation unit, which is a microcontroller, the pressure sensor and the temperature sensor are arranged inside the case. In operation, the microcontroller checks, based on measurements performed by the pressure sensor and the temperature sensor over time, whether the variation in pressure in the case is within a defined margin proportional to the variation in temperature to determine whether or not the case has a sufficient degree of sealing.

  • Patent number: 8955467
Abstract: A steam boiler includes a boiler housing. A helical coil for boiling water and superheating the wet steam is disposed within the boiler housing. A burner emits combustion gases which heat a heat emitter which is disposed in the inner space of the helical coil. Combustion gases from the burner enter the internal cavity of the heat emitter and then pass through perforations in the heat emitter before contacting the helical coil. As such, the heat emitter is heated by the combustion gases and serves as a radiant heat source for the helical coil.

  • Patent number: 7337828
Abstract: A heat transfer fluid medium (25) within the closed system is arranged to boil to form a vapor in the evaporation section (12) and such that release of heat from the condensation section (11) to the fluid to be heated (4A) causes the vapor to condense to liquid in the condensation section (11). The conduit forms a loop (10) and back flow in the loop (10) is prevented by providing a trap (27) of liquid in the conduit at a position adjacent to or at the evaporation section (12). The flow around the loop (10) at high speed sufficient to carry all condensate forwardly is caused solely by application of energy to the system by the heat source (21) without mechanical pumping. Inert gases are collected immediately upstream of the trap (27) and can be purged therefrom.

  • Patent number: 6418882
Abstract: A power vented, gas fired water heater has a main gas burner disposed within a combustion chamber partially bounded by an arrestor plate having a spaced series of flame quenching combustion air inlet openings therein. To provide for a “soft” ignition of extraneous flammable vapors entering the combustion chamber and to limit the build-up of unignited flammable vapors within the combustion chamber during non-demand periods of the water heater, a non-flame type ignition device is disposed within the combustion chamber and operated at least intermittently during such non-demand periods.

  • Publication number: 20020029775
Abstract: A method of sanitizing a bottled water dispenser may include transporting a portable boiler to a location of a bottled water dispenser. The method also may include generating steam in the portable boiler at the location of the bottled water dispenser, and flowing steam through an outlet of the portable boiler. The method may further include flow coupling the outlet of the portable boiler with an opening of the bottled water dispenser, wherein the opening leads to a fluid flow path of the bottled water dispenser. The method may additionally include flowing steam into the fluid flow path through the opening of the bottled water dispenser, and maintaining steam flow through at least a portion of the fluid flow path for a time period sufficient to sanitize the portion of the fluid flow path. The invention may also include a device for sanitizing a bottled water dispenser with steam.
