Abstract: A hair straightener (HS) comprises a heating unit (HU) for heating hair while exercising a pressure on the hair, a temperature sensor (TS) for measuring a temperature of the heated hair to obtain a measured temperature, and a pressure adjustment unit (PAU) for adjusting the pressure exercised by the heating unit (HU) on the hair, in dependence on the measured temperature. The heating unit (HU) may comprise a pair of heating plates (HP1, HP2) between which hair is clamped, and the pressure adjustment unit (PAU) may be arranged for changing a distance between the heating plates (HP1, HP2). The pressure adjustment unit (PAU) may comprise a motor-operated push tool (W, C) for increasing the distance between the heating plates (HP1, HP2) when the measured temperature exceeds a first threshold temperature. The hair straightener (HS) may comprise a pair of hinged arms (A1, A2) each provided with a respective one of the heating plates (HP1, HP2).

Abstract: The automatic hair braiding device disclosed herein, when laid against an individual's head over a sectioned portion of hair, can further section and segregate the hair into smaller sections of a specific width automatically. The braiding device will be able to combine additional hair, synthetic or human, that is already pre-fed into the machine to the individual's sectioned hair and braid the individual's hair with integrated hair to the desired length simultaneously. The device will possess a safety feature that can sense hair tension while segregating and braiding hair to minimize hair breakage and notify the user if any added hair is not properly loaded or secured within the device before braiding begins. The device will have the ability to automatically shut off if hair should become tangled during any phase of the braiding process. The device will have the ability to program hair sectioning and braid size through computer software capability and mobile phone Bluetooth application.

Abstract: A portable curling iron used to style hair enables a user to style hair without the need to plug in the curling iron to a conventional electrical outlet. The present invention provides sufficient heat the curling iron in order to adequately style hair. The power for portable use of a device of the present invention has a power supply means that provides enough power to adequately heat the curling iron for effective hair styling from a power source such as found in a motor vehicle. Connection to the power source can be via a USB connection.

Abstract: A cap which wraps hair and protects it from tangling during sleep or other activity. The cap contains an outer layer, one or more rows of bristles of relatively resilient material for wrapping hair and at least one handle. The one or more rows of bristles of relatively resilient material brushes a wearer's hair in either a clockwise or counter-clockwise direction to pull the hair up into the hat in an organized manner. The one or more rows of bristles of relatively resilient material for wrapping hair may also be used to reverse the process and let hair down in an organized style.

A first arm is coupled to the joint, including: a first handle extending from the joint; and a first heating iron extending in an arc from the joint. A temperature sensor activates a light when said sensor detects heat above a threshold temperature. Abstract: The invention herein pertains to hair devices, particularly purposefully weighted hair devices for elongating curly, coily and kinky hair. Currently there is no classification for weighted hair devices, tools, or accessories. The invented weighted hair device can be used as either a styling tool that transforms curly hair into a set wave pattern unique to the user's curl pattern or as a weighted ornamental hair accessory that remains in the hair. The invented weighted hair device is particularly advantageous for tightly curled hair patterns, especially Afro textured hair. The description of the disclosure is merely exemplary in nature and, thus, variations that do not depart from the gist of the disclosure are intended to be within the scope of the disclosure. Such variations are not to be regarded as a departure from the spirit and scope of the disclosure herein.

The hair straightening device can have at least two different temperature settings selectable by a user. The other two temperature settings may be set to a temperature that is optimal for straightening hair of different types.
