Abstract: A floating chemical dispenser is disclosed that is configured to dispense a chemical into a body of water, such as pool water. The chemical dispenser includes a float attached to a container. The container contains a chemical composition, such as a chlorine source. The container also defines an aperture that allows water to enter the container at a controlled rate. When the dispenser is placed in a body of water, water enters the container and gradually dissolves and releases the chemical. An end cap is position on the container and rotates between a closed position and at least one chemical dispensing position. The end cap further includes a locking device that locks the end cap into a closed position to prevent inadvertent release of the chemical.

Abstract: A cleaning device has a cleaning roller that is rotatable about an axis of rotation and serves for treating a surface to be cleaned. The cleaning roller is in the form of a hollow body with an internal liquid chamber, and at least one hollow body opening for releasing liquid from the liquid chamber. In order to develop a cleaning device, in which liquid is only released from the liquid chamber to the surface of the hollow body under certain conditions, a mechanically actuated valve element is assigned to the hollow body opening, wherein the valve element can be displaced into a closing position, in which the hollow body opening is closed, and/or into an opening position, in which the hollow body opening is released, depending on the magnitude of a centrifugal force that acts upon the valve element as a result of a rotation of the cleaning roller.

Abstract: A pipeline pig launching system for a gas pipeline, including a pressure bottle, a two-chambered drip leg, and a pig launcher barrel. Condensate from the gas in the pipeline collects in the upper chamber of the drip leg and flows through an equalizer line to the lower chamber. The pressure bottle receives gas from the pipeline, and has an adjustable pressure relief valve at its outlet. When the pressure bottle reaches a preset level the relief valve opens and pressurized gas enters the lower chamber of the drip leg and forces the condensate out of the drip leg to an inlet of the pig launcher barrel. The pig in the launcher barrel is then pushed into the pipeline at a point downstream from the drip leg. A booster line may also be included in the system to provide a direct connection between the outlet of the pressure bottle and the inlet of the pig launcher barrel.

Abstract: A pig launcher/receiver includes a fluid distribution grid arranged above a floor of the pig launcher/receiver's barrel to define a fluid chamber between the floor and the fluid distribution grid. The distribution grid has a plurality of ports arranged to form jets that discharge at least a portion of the fluid which enters the fluid chamber. A predetermined number of the ports are inclined relative to vertical and in a direction opposite a closure door of the barrel. The fluid distribution grid, which is preferably semi-circular shaped, can be a permanent weldment, bolted on, or removable. When used in launching a pig, the ports provide a differential pressure that lifts the pig and overcomes friction as the pig moves forward. Because a number of the ports are blocked by the sealing elements (cup or disc) of the pipeline pig, the number of pigs residing in the launcher/receiver can be determined.
