Adjustable Outlet Element Controls Level Patents (Class 141/288)
  • Patent number: 11786676
Abstract: A method is described for supplying a metered amount of a liquid medicament to an aerosolizing device. The method utilizes a dispenser comprising an elongate dispenser body having a proximal end and a tip at a distal end through which a liquid medicament is dispensed. The dispenser further comprises a dispensing mechanism that operates to dispense a metered quantity of the liquid medicament from the tip each time the dispenser body is compressed. The dispenser is grasped with one hand such that the fingers wrap around the dispenser body, with the thumb closest to the proximal end and the last finger closest to the tip. The tip is inserted into an opening of an inhaler and the elongate body is forced toward the tip to cause the dispenser body to compress, thereby operating the dispensing mechanism and causing a metered quantity of the liquid medicament to eject into the inhaler.

  • Patent number: 7516765
Abstract: Apparatus (1) for the introduction of air into enteral containers (2). A valve (14) is provided in a connection member (4) connecting the enteral set with the container (2) containing the enteral liquid and controls the introduction of air corresponding to the consumption of the enteral liquid. The valve (14) may include an oleophobic filter material that covers the air inlet (16) projecting into the connection member (4). The valve (14) on the side facing the container (2) is provided with a cutting device (20) for the foil closure of aluminum or plastics closing the container (2) in its initial delivered state. The cutting device (20) may be a circular or partly circular projection (28) rising from a low side (30) to a high side (32).

  • Patent number: 5161585
Abstract: The known liquid filling apparatus of the type including a housing, an annular liquid feed passageway, a liquid valve, a holding member and a gas pipe, is improved so as to facilitate cleaning of the interior of the apparatus, so as to be applicable to a container having a small mouth diameter, and so as to facilitate replacement of a gas pipe. The improvement resides in that, on the inner circumferential side of the holding member disposed slidably along the housing, are disposed a circular ring provided slidably along the same inner circumferential surface and a spring for normally biasing the circular ring in the downward direction.

  • Patent number: 5107909
Abstract: A pouring spout assembly removeably fitted inside the mouth of a supply container includes an elongate spout for pouring liquid from the supply container to the target container through a spout exit opening. This spout further includes a tubular vent extending from the interior of the supply container to a vent opening adjacent the spout exit opening. A cap is threaded on to the mouth of the supply container and provides an air tight seal between the inside of the supply container to the atmosphere. A valve is provided, which valve is resiliently biased to a normally closed position to prevent fluid flow through the spout and to prevent air from being drawn through the vent. Structure is provided so that a user may manually open the valve by the act of inserting the spout into the target container.

  • Patent number: 5052437
Abstract: A vent tube assembly (10) for use with a supply of fuel to a fuel tank (12) mounted in a vehicle (14), which enables an operator to fill the tank (12) with a reasonably predictable quantity of fuel to its normal capacity. The vent tube assembly (10) comprises an inner vent tube (24) having at least one inner venting port (26) defined therein. The inner vent tube (24) extends downwardly through the tank (12) for relieving vapor pressure in the tank as the volume of fuel contained therein increases during replenishment from the supply until the fuel in the tank rises to a shut-off level (30). An outer vent tube (32) lies in telescoping relationship with the inner vent tube (24) and has a base (34) which is received by the lower portion of the fuel tank. The outer vent tube (32) is provided with at least one outer venting port (36). A spring urges the outer vent tube (32) toward an extended position so that the outer vent tube (32) is loaded against the lower portion of the tank (12).

  • Patent number: 4997013
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for filling vessels with liquid has a non-electric fill indicator having an air passageway leading up and out of the vessel to an air flow indicator, air escaping during filling causes the indicator to whistle and when the whistle stops, the vessel is filled and the user stops filing; a funnel has an elongate air inlet port through a side wall to an adjustable height air inlet to the indicator, air flow is not stopped until the height level of opened air inlet port is covered by the vessel liquid.

  • Patent number: 4614214
Abstract: A tap for the tanks of automatic liquid-filling machines includes a cylindrical cursor housed in a cylindrical sleeve located on the bottom of the tank. A tube is inserted in the lower part of the cursor, and a central shaft extends therethrough to openings for the air exhaust. The cylindrical cursor can slide vertically and is blocked in different positions as defined by impressions present on the cylindrical surface of the cursor which receive a blocking pin. With this adjustment the placing of the tap on containers of different heights is facilitated without it being necessary to vary the distance between the tank and the containers to be filled.

  • Patent number: 4513795
Abstract: The tank of a railway tank car has two top-mounted lading conduits coupled thereto in fluid communication therewith. One of the lading conduits has the inner end thereof disposed at the minimum fill level of the tank. A vapor vent fitting is also formed in the tank, to which any one of a plurality of different-length vent pipes can selectively removably be mounted with the inner ends thereof disposed at different levels between the maximum and minimum fill levels of the tank. The vent pipe communicates with the one lading conduit above the maximum fill level of the tank. An access opening is provided so that the vent pipe can be reached and changed from outside the tank.In one embodiment the vent pipe communicates with the one lading conduit inside the tank and access thereto is had through the one lading conduit. In another embodiment the vent pipe communicates with the one lading conduit inside the tank, but access thereto is had through a separate access opening in the tank.
