  • Patent number: 10926400
Abstract: The present invention is a novel lanyard system for a piece releaseably connected to a tool by a piece receiver that includes a lanyard assembly with a two ended strap and a retraction system fixed to the tool in a storage region of the tool. In particular, one end of the strap is connected to the piece and the other strap end is connected to one end of the retraction system. The other end of the retraction system is connected to the tool. The strap is of sufficient length for the retraction system to retract a piece to the storage region after disconnection from the piece receiver. It is contemplated that the retraction system includes at least one spring (coil or helical) to cause the lanyard system to remain under tension while the piece is mounted in a piece receiver, thereby preventing or at least reducing the strap from interfering with the task at hand, the piece, the piece receiver or tool itself.

  • Patent number: 9662716
Abstract: An electronic drill with revolving replaceable drilling heads includes a housing, a driving unit, a rotary cover, and a plurality of drill heads. The housing has an opening, a through hole, a containing room connected therebetween. A motor container is disposed within the containing room to contain a motor of the driving unit. The rotary cover is assembled to the housing and is rotatable so that the plurality of drill heads coupled to the rotary cover is moveable freely in a rotary track between the motor container and the housing. One of the drill heads may be rotated to be aligned with a rotary hole of a gear set driven by the motor and pushed forward for use. The drill head can also be retracted backward and replaced in the electronic drill by rotating the rotary cover, so that another drill head can be pushed outward for use.

  • Patent number: 9567809
Abstract: A downhole tool assembly for cutting laterally into an earthen formation from a wellbore. The downhole tool assembly includes a cutting head assembly and a flexible tubular member, wherein the cutting head assembly includes a rotatable nozzle and a cutting head sized and configured to cut laterally into the earthen formation. The downhole tool assembly may be guided through a channel defined by a guide assembly and positioned such that the cutting head is proximate the portion of the earthen formation to be laterally cut. A rotational source may be operatively connected and in fluid communication with the conduit and flexible tubular member, whereby torque generated by the rotational source is translated by the flexible tubular member to the cutting head, causing the cutting head to rotate and cut the earthen formation.

  • Patent number: 5555780
Abstract: In a machine for dispensing stackable roofing washers individually and for driving fasteners through such washers, a shuttle is actuatable to displace a lowermost washer of one from a stack, either a small, circular or large, square washer. A gate is biased toward a lowermost position wherein it provides sufficient clearance for the lowermost washer but not any overlying washer to pass beneath it. A pawl mounted pivotally to the gate is biased to a lowermost position wherein the pawl engages a small washer displaced by the shuttle so as to restrain it against backward movement. A stop is adjustable so as to limit movement of a washer of whichever size is being displaced. A measuring bar is mounted via the stop. A screw gun, which provides a primary handle, and a secondary handle are mounted to an upright element so as to be independently adjustable.

  • Patent number: 4227840
Abstract: A drilling attachment adapted to be fixed to a chain saw and a chain saw so equipped wherein the driving output shaft and a drill chuck are advantageously connected by a pair of friction drive wheels to produce clockwise rotation of the drill chuck and thus allow the use of standard and less expensive clockwise drills, to automatically provide for relative slipping without using a slip clutch, to produce the desired speed reduction, and to allow trouble and failure-free operation in the field, such as to drill holes in maple trees to collect the sap thereof. This drilling attachment includes a first friction drive wheel and a second friction drive wheel frictionally engaging each other with the second friction drive wheel rotatively carried by a bracket adjustably securable to the chain saw. A drill chuck is fixedly connected to the second friction drive wheel for bodily rotation clockwise therewith.
