Endless Work Carrier Patents (Class 144/128)
  • Publication number: 20100000630
Abstract: A work piece feeding and conveying device for a planing machine includes a foundation base, an intermediate base and an upper base. The intermediate base is assembled with a convey unit and the upper base is pivotally provided with a plane knife. A motor is installed between the convey unit and the foundation base, having its driving shaft fixed thereon with a first driving wheel and a second driving wheel. A first transmission member and a second transmission member respectively pass around the first and the second driving wheel. The first transmission member has another end passing around a knife shaft, while the second transmission member has another end going around the convey unit. Thus, the plane knife and the convey unit can respectively be driven to rotate by the first and the second transmission member separately disposed on the driving shaft of the same motor.

  • Publication number: 20090223598
Abstract: The automatic wood planer includes two front columns separately assembled at both sides of the input end of the feed table of the main body. The pin joint end of the rotary support is screwed at the preset location of the feed table. The swinging end of the rotary support is connected to the lifting seat, so that the cutter shaft is assembled between the pin joint end of the rotary support and the swinging end. The present invention saves more components and reduces the volume and fabrication costs with improved economic efficiency and applicability.

  • Publication number: 20080230149
Abstract: A work feeding and conveying mechanism for a planing machine includes a conveying device having a conveying belt fitted around an intermediate base and actuated to rotate by a front shaft. The front shaft has one side secured with a driven gear connected with a transmission device, which has a gear set driven to rotate by a knife shaft assembled on an upper base. The gear set has its lower side fixed with a transmission shaft coupled with a transmission set positioned at the outer side of the intermediate base. The transmission set has one side extending outward and fixed with a transmission gear connected with the driven gear of the front shaft. The conveying device can be driven to rotate and smoothly convey a work piece with a comparatively large contact area, able to carry out wood planing process with precision.

  • Patent number: 7252124
Abstract: A work feeding and conveying device for a planing machine includes a conveying unit assembled on an intermediate base of a planing machine. The conveying unit has a power source, a front shaft, a rear shaft and a conveying belt. The front shaft is secured at the front end of the intermediate base and connected with a power source for being rotated. The rear shaft is pivotally connected with the rear end of the intermediate base, able to be moved back and forth horizontally for a present distance. The conveying belt formed with a rough surface with high friction coefficient is fitted around the intermediate base and passes on the front and the rear shaft. The conveying belt can smoothly convey a work piece, and evenly apply force on its surface, able to carry out wood processing precisely.

  • Patent number: 6220315
Abstract: A method for processing of workpieces, which are supplied to a processing station, in which the workpieces are processed on one side, are moved out of the processing station, and are turned and again supplied to the processing station for processing the second side. In particular, a workpiece or workpiece package is individually supplied to the processing station, is processed there and individually moved on following the processing of both sides. The first side of one workpiece, whose second side has not yet been processed, and the second side of another workpiece whose first side had already been processed in the previous processing operation, are processed in one processing operation in the processing station, so that during each processing operation a workpiece processed on both sides is created together with a workpiece processed only on one side.

  • Patent number: 4997017
Abstract: An improved timber thicknessing machine comprises a support frame, at least two parallel, continuous drive chains, a multiplicity of slats disposed in spaced parallel positions extending between the drive chains to form a continuous belt, a rotary cutter block disposed above the belt generally parallel to the slats and having cutter blades around its circumference, rollers above the belt on each side of the cutter block to cooperate with the belt in advancing a workpiece through the machine, and pressure bars resiliently mounted above the belt between the respective rollers and the cutter block to urge the workpiece towards the belt.

  • Patent number: 4991636
Abstract: A machine for planing lengths of timber comprises mutually perpendicular spindles for cutter blocks (7,8). The spindle carrying the cutter block (8) extends below a machine bed (1). The spindle carrying the cutter block (7) extends across the bed (1). A conveyor (5) is provided for feeding a workpiece past the cutter blocks (7,8) at a lower level than the bed. In a modification the spindle carrying the cutter block (7) drives a cutter block (9) which is offset from the spindle itself.

  • Patent number: 4196760
Abstract: A machine for making wood moldings includes an endless feed belt extending downstream from the upper face cutter head for holding short lengths of wood pieces securely between the working stretch of the feed belt and the underlying bed plate and delivering it through side and lower face cutter heads. An air plenum container overlies and bears against the working stretch of the feed belt to provide uniform feed pressure to the wood throughout the length of the working stretch and delivers air under pressure through a multiplicity of holes in the plenum container to the confronting side of the working stretch of the belt for minimizing friction between the belt and container. Short lengths of wood pieces are delivered in spaced-apart relationship to the upper face cutter head between an elongated side feed belt and an elongated air fence.
