Abstract: A coating application system may include a pair of towers movable along a respective pair of floor tracks. A crossbeam may extend between the pair of towers. The cross beam may have opposing beam ends. A universal joint may couple each beam end to a tower to allow the crossbeam to rotate about a vertical axis and about a horizontal axis. A robotic device may be mounted to the crossbeam. The robotic device may include an end effector for performing one or more operations on an aircraft exterior surface.
Abstract: The claimed carpet cleaning apparatus incorporates recesses in a rigid surface of a roller, a hand-operated cleaning device, or a rigid disk. The rigid surface compresses the fibers of the soft surface as the device and the recesses decompress the fibers. The repeated compression and decompression, preferably in combination with a cleaning compound, provide the mechanical action necessary for removal of foreign material.
Abstract: An apparatus for cleaning vehicular floor mats and the like includes a support member in a container having an opening for receiving dirt and other matter that is removed from a floor mat. A generally horizontal screen is positioned above the container such that the dirt and other matter falls into the container. At least one resilient member connects the screen to the support member, such that the screen shifts when a floor mat positioned on the screen is impacted by a user to thereby dislodge dirt and other matter from the floor mat.
Abstract: A washing machine scrubbing enhancement device for improving the cleaning efficiency of washing machines. The washing machine scrubbing enhancement device includes a scrubber attachment comprising a channel member with side walls connected by a base wall forming a channel for gripping the sides of the agitator fins, and an adhesive applied to the side walls.
Abstract: A set of firefighting tools for use in fighting forest fires and the like in different types of terrain and vegetation. An elongate handle is equipped with a releasably latching connector, and several different tool heads are attachable to the handle to perform various functions. One head has a pivotably attached shovel blade and is useful as a shovel, as a scraper or as a rake, when held in respective positions by a latching mechanism. Another tool head has a lightweight central body and replaceable oppositely directed axe and grub hoe blade portions. Yet a further tool head includes a resiliently flexible outer portion to which are fastened several flexible straps for beating out fires. Each head includes a socket adapted for emergency attachment to a simple wooden handle portion.
Abstract: A cooking whip for mixing foods is disclosed. The cooking whip includes an elongate tubular handle portion. A whip portion has a head and a plurality of resiliently deformable loops extending from the head. The whip portion is detachably coupled to the lower end of the handle portion. An elongate shaft portion with opposite first and second ends and a longitudinal axis extending between the ends is removably insertable in the handle portion. The first end of the shaft portion is coupled to the head of the whip portion.
