Abstract: Sealing gasket construction for providing a fluid seal intermediate a pair of opposed, mating parts or structures. The gasket includes a body formed of a resilient material, and one or more integral compression limiters each received in a corresponding aperture formed through the body. Each of the limiters is formed of a rigid material and extends through the body from a first flanged portion to a second flanged portion with the body being clamping therebetween.
Abstract: A centering bush for connecting components includes a bush head having a construction generally in accordance with that of a blade pin. A combination, a system and a printing press having the centering bush, are also provided.
Abstract: A grommet assembly for use in providing a weatherproof conduit for electrical and/or pneumatic lines between, for example, an automotive body structure and the interior of a door hingedly mounted on the vehicle body structure. The grommet is made of a soft material and is provided with opposed open ends, each of which receives a retainer made of a harder plastic material. At least one end of the grommet is provided with a retainer groove and opposed pairs of receptacles which create raised details on the outside surface of the grommet end structure. The retainer is provided with arrowhead-shaped protrusions which, when the retainer is properly disposed within the end structure of the grommet body, fit into and enlarge the receptacles to provide both visual and tactile indications that the grommet retainer is properly installed.

Abstract: A wheel mounting system is comprised of a bearing that is adapted to be positioned between a wheel and the foot tube of a bed. The bearing is comprised of two halve split bearings that are adapted to be fit together to make the complete bearing. The split bearings are adapted to be forced into the wheel and held onto the foot tube by the wheel. A method for mounting a wheel to the foot tube of a bed is comprised of the step of positioning split bearings on the end of a foot tube of the bed with a rib on an interior surface of the split bearings in alignment with an annular groove in the end of the foot tube. The foot tube is then held in a fixture with a backup surface of the fixture abutting the flange of two split bearings.

Abstract: A grommet is provided for positively mounting a long member (e.g. a wire harness) in such a manner that the long member is passed through a mounting plate such as a panel of a vehicle body. A grommet for passing and holding a wire harness relative a mounting hole formed through a mounting plate includes a first cylindrical portion for passing the wire harness therethrough, a second cylindrical portion connected to the first cylindrical portion through a connection portion, a groove formed in an outer peripheral surface of the second cylindrical portion, and a flange portion formed on that portion of the outer peripheral surface of the second cylindrical portion lying between the groove and the connection portion. A plurality of guide portions, extending radially from the outer peripheral surface of the first cylindrical portion, are brought into contact with an inner peripheral edge of the mounting hole in such a manner that the second cylindrical portion is disposed coaxially with the mounting hole.
