Abstract: A multiple-hole rope thimble with a body, a plurality of holes, and a perimeter groove. The holes can be arranged linearly or non-linearly arranged and can be the same or different sizes. The hole wall is curved toward the center of the hole to eliminate any sharp edges that can damage a rope. The groove extends completely around the perimeter of the body. A rope fits into the groove and is secured around the thimble by a splice or a knot. Optionally, the rope is secured by a thread extending through an aperture in the partition between holes.
Abstract: A suture assembly includes a suture clip connected to a suture. The suture clip includes a proximal end opposite a distal end, a first side edge opposite a second side edge, with each of the first side edge and the second side edge extending from the proximal end to the distal end of the suture clip. The suture clip is formed such that the first side edge is spaced apart from the second side edge to provide an open slot that is adapted to allow the suture clip to flex in a radial direction. A tab extends from the distal end of the suture clip and is crimped to the suture. A rib formed on an interior surface of the suture clip.
Abstract: A multifunction device for use generally with ropes and cords is disclosed. A rope portion of the device is about three times longer as it is wide. A brake bar extends perpendicularly from one end of the rope portion, and a brake retainer extends upward and perpendicular from the brake bar, forming a slot between the rope portion and brake retainer. There are three openings in the rope portion, one at each end, with the middle opening offset toward the upper opening for accommodating a narrowed region in said rope portion below the middle opening. The rope portion is about 3 times longer than its width, the brake bar is about half as wide as the rope portion and the brake retainer is about half as wide as the brake bar. The device has use as a belay, a rappel, an anchor, an auger, a toggle and other uses.
Abstract: A safety buckle of a curtain comprises a curtain body and an upper beam; an auto slide-stop installed within the upper beam for controlling the curtain body to a predetermined position; and a control rope set having a first end and a second end which are at opposite sides. The first end is a rope and the second end. The safety buckle comprises a male pin having a body portion and a guide end. The body portion is positioned at a bottom of the guide end and is connected to a distal end of the rope. A female pin is firmly secured to the upper beam and has a pin seat. The pin seat is formed with a hollow guide hole. When the ropes are pulled, the male pin is separated from the female pin so that the upper beam and the ropes are in a safe state.

Abstract: A sash balance shoe that draws an extending cord to the shoe by an elastic mechanism in the shoe is hung from a wall of a vertical track of a window jamb by the cord extending through the axis of a convex face of a radially extending annular wall that is on one end of a leg that passes through a hole in the track wall and is prevented from exiting from the hole by the diameter of the annular wall being larger than the diameter of the hole and by a radially extending annular ridge that is larger in diameter than the diameter of the hole and is beveled and flexible enough for insertion into the hole.

Abstract: The invention relates to a fixing element, having a length compensating mechanism, which is used for fixing rod-like components of a furniture. The fixing element has a base part, that is fixed to a wall of the furniture, and an intermediate part with a shaft and a head. When mounted, the intermediate part connects the base part to the rod-like component. The intermediate part has a thread on the shaft, which can be screwed in a bore having an inner thread, which is located in the rod-like component. The head of the intermediate part also has a stop area which is in contact with the base part when it is mounted.
Abstract: Disclosed are apparatus for a block and tackle window balance including a terminal clip to be incorporated in single and double hung window assemblies. In one embodiment the terminal clip includes a first end portion defining an opening for passing a terminal end of a cord therethrough, a second end portion disposed remotely from the first end portion, and an intermediate portion including a hook and extending between the first and second end portions.

Abstract: An improved window sash lock keeper is provided having a slot to provide clearance for a burr, which is typically found on a surface upon which such a sash lock keeper is mounted. The improved keeper is typically mounted flush to a surface of an extruded window component. The clearance slot allows the keeper to be mounted with improved precision and thereby reduces interferences caused by misaligned window hardware.
