Abstract: A covering for an architectural-structure covering is disclosed. The covering is formed from a plurality of assembled strips of fabric material joined together. Each assembled strip of fabric material may include a fabric material including inner and outer surfaces, and top and bottom ends. A first slat may be coupled to the inner surface of the fabric material adjacent the top end thereof, the first slat having a first contact surface. A second slat may be coupled to the outer surface of the fabric material adjacent the bottom end thereof, the second slat having a second contact surface. The first contact surface of the first slat of a first assembled strip is preferably nested with the second contact surface of the second slat of an adjoining second assembled strip. The second contact surface of the second slat may be partially covered by the piece of fabric material.

Abstract: A modular shade includes at least one module that consists of a head rail unit, a foot rail unit, at least one intermediate rail unit, and a plurality of slat components. A top slat may be coupled to the head rail unit and the intermediate rail unit, and a bottom slat component may be coupled to the intermediate rail unit and the foot rail unit. Further, additional intermediate rail units and intermediate slat components may be added to the module to alter the shape and size of the module, and the module may be coupled to one or more additional modules to change the overall shape and size of the modular shade.

Abstract: A home interior decorating kit with multiple interchangeable decorative elements for temporary attachment to multiple home interior items such as table runners, chair back covers, decorative pillows, towels, curtains, and tissue boxes. Each of the home interior items includes a connection area for receiving one or more decorative elements. These elements are entirely interchangeable, providing a highly customizable home interior decoration kit. The decorative elements can be attached to the home interior items using hook-and-loop fasteners, buttons, snaps, zippers, or any suitable connection type.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a flood vent includes a frame forming a fluid passageway through an opening in a structure. The flood vent further includes a door pivotally mounted to the frame in the fluid passageway for allowing a fluid to flow through the fluid passageway. The door has two opposing faces that include a first face and a second face. The flood vent further includes a first float positioned within the door in a location in-between the first face and a second float. Additionally, the first float is configured to allow the door to pivot in a first direction. The flood vent further includes the second float positioned within the door in a location in-between the second face and the first float. Furthermore, the second float is configured to allow the door to pivot in a second direction.

Abstract: A privacy curtain assembly includes a main curtain portion. The main curtain portion includes a first side, a second side, and oppositely disposed leading edges located between the first and second sides. The privacy curtain assembly also includes at least one cleanable, wipable panel that is permanently affixed to one of the leading edges of the main curtain portion. The at least one panel is configured to be cleaned while permanently affixed to the main curtain portion.

Abstract: A drapery system for forming a window drapery of user-selected length. The system includes first and second drapery sections and at least one fastener for selectively and overlappingly attaching the drapery sections without stitching or sewing. A method of forming a drapery of user-selectable length is also provided.

A plurality of magnets are attached to the back panel and configured to connect the bedding skirt to the mattress frame. The bedding skirt can be rapidly connected to the mattress frame for use and rapidly removed from the mattress frame for cleaning.

Abstract: A vertical blind assembly module includes a head rail unit with opposite sides and a unit axis extending between the sides, a housing and an axle pivotally connecting the housing to the head rail unit so that the housing can pivot about a pivot axis that is perpendicular to the unit axis. A slat is coiled in the housing so enabling the slat to be extended from the housing a selected distance and retracted into the housing. A foot rail unit is pivotally connected to the projecting end of the slat, the pivotal connection being collinear to the pivot axis. By turning the axle relative to the head rail unit about the pivot axis when the slat is extended, the slat can be turned between a closed position wherein the slat is parallel to the unit axis and an open position wherein the slat is perpendicular to the unit axis.

The shared space divider comprises a hub that is placed on a portion of a surface, and at least one partitioning structure coupled to a portion of the hub. The at least one partitioning structure comprises a separator configured to partition the surface into two or more sections. The separator has a ribbon structure, an accordion structure, or a fan structure. The at least one partitioning structure is configured to extend from and retract into or, alternatively, fold out from and fold into the hub. In some embodiments, the shared space divider comprises at least one container for holding items commonly found on the surface. In other embodiments, the shared space divider comprises a clip for attaching to documents. Yet, in other embodiments, images such as advertisements are displayed on at least one of the separator and the hub.

Abstract: A blind with a looped blind sheet for adjusting opacity is revealed. The blind includes a top rod supporter, a top rod with two ends connected to the top rod supporter, a bottom rod supporter, a bottom rod with two ends connected to the bottom rod supporter, and looped blind sheet. The looped blind sheet with predetermined length and width includes alternate see-through parts and opaque parts and connected to form a loop having a front blind sheet and a rear blind sheet wound between the top rod and the bottom rod. When the front blind sheet or the rear blind sheet is pulled down or up, the opacity is adjusted by overlap degree of the see-through parts and the opaque parts of the front and the rear blind sheets changing without changing the length of the looped blind sheet.

Abstract: A flood flaps vent for sealing a building crawlspace includes: (a) a vent box portion including open opposite front and rear ends on either end of a vent passageway, the vent box including a top box portion with at least one flap slot adjacent a rear end portion of the vent box, and an opposite bottom box portion; (b) at least one flexible flood flap extending across the open rear end portion, with its upper edge seated in the flap slot, other side flap edges of the flood flap being unattached; and (c) a grate portion over the open front end portion of the vent box; the flood flap occluding the rear end portion of the vent box when it is in an at rest, home position. A substantially J-shaped extension portion that extends outward from the wall portion and terminates in a rod attachment end arranged perpendicularly with respect to the mounting plate and in parallel spaced apart relation to the surface. The left bracket is an enantiomer of the right bracket. A first and second rod, each rod includes a proximate and distal end. The master glide engages the first glide to lower the first shade, and is detached from the first glide along the track assembly by a disengaging plate. Abstract: Example room dividers are described herein. The example room dividers include a flexible curtain with features pertaining to security, impactability, insulation, sound absorption, configurability, and/or flame resistance. In some examples, the curtain comprises an inorganic carbon fiber pad sandwiched between two sheets of fiberglass fabric coated with silicone rubber. A tongue-and-groove joint, in some examples, enables the interconnection of a series of curtains to create room dividers of various lengths. In some examples, the curtain comprises a full-width wire mesh sandwiched between two sheets of vinyl coated polyester fabric, wherein a touch-and-hold fastener at the outer perimeter of the curtain and overlapping the wire mesh holds the two sheets together and holds the wire mesh in place. In some examples, the flexibility of the curtain allows the curtain to respond to impacts and/or air pressure differentials.

Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for removing exceeding portions of laths use to separate pieces of lumber in a bundle. The apparatus comprises an external cage and an internal cage having a skeleton framework mounted to the external cage and displaceable between a retracted position and an extended position in which the internal cage projects forwardly from a front open face of the external cage. A chain-like member carrying a plurality of paddles is provided at a front face of the skeleton framework and is driven by a motor for causing the paddles to strike and break the exceeding portions of the laths.

Abstract: A curtain mounting system for creating a dust barrier that includes a curtain and a mounting system. The mounting system is made up of multiple support assemblies with each assembly having a holding member for attaching and supporting the curtain to a support structure such as wall or ceiling. The support assembly also has an elastic member coupled to the holding member and is also attached to the curtain. The elastic member is configured to suspend additional portions of the curtain creating an overlapping fold in the curtain. The curtain will lengthen when it is tugged on due to the curtain fold and will return back to its original length once the tugging has subsided due to the nature and placement of the elastic member.

Abstract: A covering for an architectural opening with improved insulating properties in one embodiment includes face-to-face cellular insulative components defining a fabric with dual layers of cells with the fabric being retractably mounted in a headrail so as to either be rolled about a roller or gathered adjacent to the bottom of the headrail. A first component of the fabric includes a pair of spaced parallel sheets of material interconnected with horizontally-extending flexible vanes so as to define a plurality of horizontally-extending, vertically adjacent cells of generally rectangular cross-sectional configuration. A second component of the fabric is mounted on one sheet of the first component of the fabric so as to form a plurality of vertically adjacent drooping segments of fabric forming a roman-shade appearance. Single or multiple layers of the components can be used with or without the other type of component.

The apparatus may also include an intermediate support structure for providing support to the canopy and a conduit in communication with the chamber to supply cool air to the chamber.

Two curtain units or more than two curtain units can be joined together to form curtains of an appropriate width by means of the fastening members. The third holding wall member includes a pair of spaced-apart outer third and inner fourth holding prong members being integrally connected to an exterior third wall surface.

Abstract: A covering for an architectural opening, having a first layer with alternating relatively opaque stripes and relatively translucent stripes, and a second layer with alternating relatively opaque stripes and relatively translucent stripes. The first and second layers are positioned one behind the other, with the stripes substantially parallel. The first and second layers are movable relative to one another in a direction substantially perpendicular to the stripes. The covering also includes a series of parallel binder threads for attaching the first layer to the second layer. The binder threads run substantially perpendicular to the stripes, and thereby, one of the layers can be slid along the binder threads when moved relative to the other. The blind is preferred to be woven as a double-layer fabric.

Abstract: A window cover support device and method of use thereon, wherein the device is non-rotating and comprises a bracket having support members in the form of pairs of upward-facing hooks over which a valance rod or curtain rod may be placed, a box structure for confinement of one end of a miniblind support rod, and also a round or rectangular slotted opening for installation of one end of a shade support rod therein. The bracket is utilized in pairs with a tension rod between same to provide support to the selected window cover or combination of window covers. In furtherance of adhesion to the wall, the present invention incorporates a novel plug-flap device of rubber, or other similar material, suitable for insertion into the end of the tension rod, the plug-flap device providing a large surface area of rubber or similar material under the bracket.

The hang rods are respectively inserted through the hang hole of a curtain, which is formed with pleated edges according to the length of each hang rod. The pulley base is provided with two symmetrical combining members to be symmetrically combined and fitted around the hang rod. The pulley base is fixed with a pulley rod having its pulley fitted in the rail groove of a sliding rail, enabling the window curtain to be assembled, shrunk or expanded.

Abstract: There is provided a display device which comprises a display housing. The display housing has an internal compartment defined by a plurality of connected panels. At least one of the panels is a heat-conducting panel which simulates a glass window. Moreover, a heat source is disposed within the inside compartment for generating heat therein. In addition, a plurality of window coverings each having a specific heat insulation property corresponding thereto are further provided. Each respective one of the plurality of window coverings are removably mountable to the display housing to insulate the heat conducting through the heat-conducting panel from within the internal compartment. By doing so, a consumer is able to determine the heat insulation property of each respective on of the plurality of window coverings.

Abstract: A blind with its fabric drapery structure has an upper beam, two rotation units, two spring mounts, two springs, two sealing caps, two connectors, a fabric drapery mounting rod, a fabric drapery hanging track, and two double-sided adhesive pieces. Both ends of the upper beam are engaged with connecting sections of the rotation units, and the spring mounts with the springs are joined to engagement sections of the rotation units. The sealing caps are inserted at one end of said spring mounts. The rotation units engaged with the upper beam are slid in an angle onto the connectors fixed to the frame walls adjacent to a window via the double-sided adhesive pieces, and adjusted in a straight line by pushing inwards to be located thereto. The upper beam serves to display a blind, and the fabric drapery mounting rod and/or the hanging track are connected to the connectors.

Abstract: A shower curtain assembly for easy mounting or dismounting relative to a shower rod includes a first shower curtain portion having short vertical side edges with top and bottom edges extending therebetween and defining apertures for hanging the first portion from a shower rod with hooks. A second shower curtain portion includes long vertical side edges with top and bottom edges extending therebetween. Fastener strips having rib and groove elements depend from bottom and top edges of the first and second portions, respectively. Each fastener defines a guide track. The assembly includes a slider formed to straddle the fastener strips and having guide members that cooperate with the guide tracks. A separator finger is disposed in the slider and is shaped so as to urge the rib and groove elements apart or together depending on which longitudinal direction the slider is moved.

Abstract: A screen assembly includes first and second substantially rectangular panels each mounted in ajuxtaposed fashion over a doorway. The inner edges of each panel include an elongated chain along the entire length thereof. The lower edge of each panel includes a plurality of weights to prevent the panels from flapping and to maintain the panels in a vertical position within the doorway. The design allows a user to pass between the inner edges after which the screen panels will automatically return to their original positions. Accordingly, users may repeatedly pass through the screen assembly without having to open a screen door.

Thus, the inflatable component, alone, may be suspended from a support rod. A plurality of retention devices for holding useful articles may be incorporated on at least one surface of the partition. The partition may incorporate attractive three-dimensional figures. The partition demonstrates increased stiffness when used as a shower curtain. The partition demonstrates an increased sound-deadening/weight ratio, increasing its usefulness as a shower curtain or room partition.

Abstract: A golf cart enclosure (2) for all weather and use conditions having a plurality of pairs of inner panels (34) and outer panels (33), which may be a combination of either mesh and plastic vinyl or plastic vinyl and plastic vinyl panels, some of the plastic panels being transparent. The panels are attached to and suspended from an enclosure top panel (3) over a roof (32) of a golf cart (1). The pairs of panels may cover both sides of the golf cart as well as the front and back of the golf cart as desired and necessary. Depending on weather and use conditions, either or both pairs of panels may be secured in a rolled-up position around a perimeter of the golf cart roof by means of panel-holding straps (35, 37 and 40) wrapped around the rolled-up panels and attached to the panel-holding straps between each pair of panels using snaps or other fasteners. A roll cover (9) to protect the rolled-up panels from sun and other elements may be provided by an extension of the top panel or a separate valance.

Abstract: The invention provides a system to divide a ceiling of a building into smoke containment cells utilizing suspended and interconnected curtains. Resilient jawed clips are utilized to simply and firmly attach the curtains, mounted on rigid supporting bars, to roof deck supporting joists or girders. Methods are employed within the system to seal around intersecting ducts or pipes, to abutting curtains and to the underside of the roofing deck.

Abstract: A suspended curtain system adaptable to non-uniform height ceilings having modular curtain panels suspended from a plurality of hangers, each hanger selected from an assortment of prefabricated lengths and is attached to roller mounted carriers supported in a track mounted to the ceiling to allow easy positioning of the suspended curtains by applying a horizontal force to the panels, the carriers are connected together by carrier links to reduce jamming of the carriers as they are moved around the track, the length of each hanger selected being sized to suspend the panels from the ceiling at a constant distance above the floor regardless of ceiling height.

Abstract: A spray coating booth for enclosing individual articles to be coated with a liquid spray while the articles are supported in closely spaced relation on an article conveyor for movement through the booth includes a rigid frame with fixed sidewalls and movable top and end walls which may be moved between a closed position completely enclosing an article supported on the conveyor and an open position to permit articles to be moved into and out of the booth. The movable top assures against coating liquid dripping onto and contaminating articles moving on the conveyor which are not to be coated. The end walls are supported for movement in substantially a transverse vertical plane to permit close spacing of articles on the conveyor without contact of the articles by the end walls.

Abstract: A window shade with dual blinds comprises a headrail, a bottom rail, dual blinds arranged in parallel between the head rail and the bottom rail to form an interspace, draw lock for positioning the bottom rail, and a draw cord for lifting and lowering the bottom rail. Each of dual blinds has a plurality of string holes arranged therein at noncorresponding positions so as to obstruct one another.

Abstract: A roll-up shower curtain for a bathtub and shower enclosure is provided and consists of an elongated casing, which carries a roller shaft, secured between the end walls of the shower enclosure by adjustable retainer members on the sides of the casing. A shower curtain can be readily raised and lowered on the roller shaft by manually operating the roller shaft. When the shower curtain is completely lowered it can slide within a recessed track in the roller shaft to be pushed to one side.

Abstract: A thermally protective drapery construction comprises retaining rod means and inner and outer panels of drapery material arranged in suspended, separated relationship on the retaining rod means. The separated drapery panels are supported in a manner such that a thermally resistant critical air spacing is provided and extends between the panels and at a substantially uniform value.
