Abstract: A window air conditioner includes a casing including a cabinet. The cabinet includes a receiving groove formed at an outer peripheral wall of the cabinet. The receiving groove is recessed downwards to separate the cabinet into an indoor part and an outdoor part. The window air conditioner further includes an indoor heat exchanger and an indoor fan arranged in the indoor part, and an outdoor heat exchanger and a compressor arranged in the outdoor part.
Abstract: A ventilated window frame comprising; a frame having a plurality of slots along an interior edge and a channel having a first opening and a second opening, a permeable layer fitted within one of the plurality of slots distal to the first edge of the frame, a permeable layer secured within one of the plurality of slots distal to the second edge of the frame, a non-permeable layer secured within one of the plurality of slots between the first and second permeable layers, wherein the first opening of the channel is between the first permeable layer and the non-permeable layer and the second opening of the channel is located between the second permeable layer and the non-permeable layer, a filter inserted within the first opening of the channel, and a fan fitted between the first opening and the second opening of the channel.
Abstract: A barrier device preventing access of pests such as mosquitoes, flies, and other small animals as well as debris between a panel pet door and a screen door by providing a seal between the panel pet door and the screen door. The barrier material may have ribs for the purpose of added stiffening or as a guide for adjusting the reach of the barrier. A stopping device may be used to ensure the screen door is closed to a location where good contact is made with the barrier device.
Abstract: A draft excluder for excluding drafts between a door and the floor. The draft excluder is made up of an elongated angled bracket, at least one clip, a flexible covering, and an elongated weight. The flexible covering can take the form of a cloth covering. The elongated angled bracket defines first and second sidewalls with an interior angle there-between. The first and second sidewalls respectively define first and second elongated terminal edges. During normal use the at least one clip holds the first sidewall of the bracket to the bottom of a door such that the interior angle faces downward and towards the floor beneath the door. The flexible covering defines a cover portion that extends between the first and second elongated terminal edges. The cover portion defines an interior surface and an exterior surface. The elongated weight is affixed to the interior surface of the cover portion.
Abstract: A large-scale container, preferably transportable and closable by a fireproof sliding door composed of several leaves, includes a fireproof bulkhead which is mounted parallel to the leaves along the ceiling of the large-scale container. The bulkhead extends over the entire width of the sliding door and projects in a gap defined by the spaced arrangement of the leaves, with the bulkhead and the leaves being provided along their facing sides in the overlapping areas with a fireproof intumescent coating. In this manner, a direct penetration of flames in this area into the interior is prevented and the space defined between the leaves and the bulkhead is closed by a fireproof intumescent coating to attain a hermetic seal.
Abstract: A fume hood is provided with seal strips to prevent or inhibit leakage of air through the sash clearance opening at the top of the hood. A front seal is mounted on the rear wall of the auxiliary air chamber and essentially engages the front surface of the sash when the sash is partially or completely raised, and a rear seal is mounted on the front wall of the working chamber and essentially engages the rear surface of the sash when the sash is raised. If desired, either or both of the seals can have a width sufficient to extend all the way across the sash clearance opening when the sash is lowered to seal the sash clearance opening.
