  • Patent number: 8672338
Abstract: A platform assembly is supported by the main frame and includes i) a framework, ii) an upper platform foot support secured to the framework and positioned adjacent to the doorway, and iii) a first stair member secured to the framework and spaced apart from the upper platform foot support. A stair assembly is movably attached to the framework and includes a second stair member. The door is movable between i) a first position in which the door is positioned to cover the door opening so as to block entry into the cab through the door opening, and ii) a second position in which the door is spaced apart from the door opening so as to enable entry into the cab through the door opening. The upper platform foot support, first stair member, and second stair member define a stairway leading to and from the door opening. A first plane intersects the upper platform foot support, the first stair, and the second stair. The first plane further intersects the door when the door is positioned in the second position.

  • Patent number: 8434562
Abstract: A ripper operating device is configured to perform operations of a ripper of a work vehicle. The ripper operating device includes a support portion, an operating lever, and an operating switch part. The operating lever is supported by the support portion to be movable with respect to the support portion in a first direction to perform a first operation and non-movable in a second direction. The first direction intersects a front-and-rear direction at an intersection point corresponding to a neutral position of the operating lever to form an acute angle with the front-and-rear direction on a rearward-outward side of the intersection point. The second direction is substantially perpendicular to the first direction and substantially matches with a direction in which a forearm of an operator extends when operating the ripper. The operating switch part is arranged on the operating lever to perform a second operation other than the first operation.

  • Patent number: 6942041
Abstract: A self-propelled agricultural vehicle is constructed by assembling the parts of a standard row-crop tractor to the point where the next step is that of mounting the cab to the chassis. At this point, a cab adapter module is mounted to the chassis using the mounting points normally used for mounting the cab to the chassis. The cab, provided in a form without the usual access ladder and fenders, is mounted to the cab adapter module so as to face in a direction opposite to that which it would face if mounted to the chassis. The seat and all controls for operating the tractor remain in the same locations in the cab regardless which direction the cab faces. Minor reconfigurations of hydraulic circuitry and the differential are required for permitting the vehicle to be operated in a forward direction opposite to that for the operation of the standard tractor.

  • Patent number: 5901791
Abstract: A working vehicle includes an engine in the rear of a passenger seat, and a working machine vertically movably disposed in the rear of the engine, wherein an upper end of the working machine which is lifted to the highest position is set lower than an upper end of the engine. As a result, a ventilation in the vicinity of the engine is improved and a cooling effect of the engine is enhanced. Also, a maintenance of the engine can be conducted without being interfered by the working machine. Further, with this arrangement, a center of gravity of the working machine is low, thereby enhancing a stability of the working vehicle, and a driver or a passenger of the vehicle can visually check backward much easier.
