  • Publication number: 20140150303
Abstract: A seabed plow capable of over-the-stern release and retrieval is usable in any of boulder clearing, trench cutting and backfill modes. In its boulder clearing mode, the plow uses its skid in torquing configuration followed by moldboards to push boulders out of the path to be trenched. In the trench cutting mode, the plow uses the skid in the same configuration with its share and moldboards for initial trench depth and the same share and moldboards with moldboard extensions for increasing trench depth in subsequent passes. In the backfill mode, the plow uses its skid in trench-straddling configuration following a blade with a passage designed to discharge fragmented spoil directly onto the pipe being covered. Thus, a single plow can be reconfigured for all modes for release and retrieval to and from a relatively small vessel without use of heavy lifting equipment.

  • Publication number: 20140060401
Abstract: A tool bar mounting assembly for an agricultural implement. One agricultural implement includes a first tool bar assembly having a tool bar and a plurality of row units coupled to the tool bar and configured to deliver flowable agricultural product to a field. The agricultural implement also includes a frame assembly coupled to the first tool bar assembly. The frame assembly includes a mounting assembly having a mechanical linkage. The mechanical linkage is configured to removably couple the first tool bar assembly to the frame assembly via a plurality of fasteners. The frame assembly is configured to provide structural support to the first tool bar assembly. The mechanical linkage of mounting assembly is configured to removably couple a second tool bar assembly having a different configuration than the first tool bar assembly to the frame assembly via the plurality of fasteners.

  • Patent number: 6739404
Abstract: An implement for preparing seed beds and lawns, and for grading tracks and show rings, includes a main frame upon which scarifying teeth are mounted to penetrate and scarify the soil, tines which work the soil and prepare the final grade, and a blade for grading soil. The frame is supported on wheels, and attached to a tractor by a three-point hitch. Accordingly, the depth of penetration of the scarifying teeth and the angle at which the tines work the soil, may be adjusted by pivoting the implement about the axis defined by the axles of the wheels by using the tractor hydraulic system. Since this degree of adjustment is limited, the wheels are mounted to the frame by an adaptor plate including multiple openings, any of which the axle of a wheel to thereby adjust the height of the frame relative to the ground to accommodate both loose or hard soil.

  • Patent number: 5669452
Abstract: A blade plow preferably formed by three frame sections hingedly coupled together includes a ground or terrain contour following mechanism within each frame section. The contour mechanism allows the middle blade to be raised and lowered to maintain the entire central blade horizontal relative to the plow frame and at a constant depth within the ground. Additional "fixed" blades are hydraulically setable for depth of cut. The terrain contour following mechanism allows for larger frame widths without the usual tendency of smaller width frames to buckle due to ground unevenness.
