Plural Cleansing Fluid Sources Patents (Class 173/74)
  • Patent number: 8056640
Abstract: A hydraulic head clamp assembly is integral with a drill head mounted on a mobile drill rig. A side-shift carriage is provided for shifting the drill head from side-to-side relative to a centerline of a drill rod string. The clamp assembly includes a rigid jaw mounted on the side of the drill head, and a movable jaw mounted adjacent to said rigid jaw with a space between the jaws for receiving the drill rod string. The movable jaw is connected to a pair of hydraulic cylinder actuators that are actuated via a hydraulic circuit to control the clamp action between the rigid jaw and the movable jaw. The clamp assembly can be used to retract a drill rod string from the ground without limiting access to the inner diameter of the drill rod, and can also be used to advance the drill rod into the ground via a static push.

  • Patent number: 5327979
Abstract: A coolant through spindle device is disclosed, including a rotating joint member secured to the rear end of the spindle for conducting coolant into the spindle, the coolant being conducted through a separate coolant passage inside the spindle to the nozzles formed on a cutting tool to be sprayed out thereof so as to fully cool down and lubricate the cutting point thereof, increase machining precision and cutting rate, and prolong service life of the cutting tool. Moreover, by using a switching collar to provide separated coolant passage and pressurized air passage, no residual coolant can follow the pressurized air jet into the tapper hole of the spindle to contaminate the tapper hole.

  • Patent number: 5307881
Abstract: A debris flushing system for a percussive, fluid-activated apparatus includes a first and second separate and independent flushing system in the apparatus, each flushing system having a separate combination of passageways in the apparatus for fluid communication between an inlet port and a front piston exhaust chamber. Each flushing system has a separate seal and throttle combination for opening and closing its own passageways. A third, independent flushing system for flushing water can be added to the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4854393
Abstract: An air hammer powered debris chisel headed tool having a water stream blaster outlet directing a high speed water stream forwardly closely adjacent and above the chisel head when valve controlled for use. Air misting outlets are also provided at the forward end of the tool to produce a dust debris supressing mist as the tool is being used in material removal such as asbestos dust abatement as asbestos is being removed in structures. A trigger control at the butt handle end of the tool controls on-off activation of the tool air hammer, and a lever on the butt handle has control settings from off to misting to combination misting and high speed water stream to high speed water stream alone.

  • Patent number: 4494613
Abstract: A method and apparatus for driving a hollow pile into the ground. By using a hollow rod having a short auger fixedly secured to a leading end portion thereof, excavated earth and sand are lifted to and around the upper portion of the auger where compressed air is spouted from nozzle orifices formed in the hollow rod thereby lifting the excavated earth and sand through the hollow pile and consequently discharging the same from the hollow pile. As earth and sand are discharged from the hollow pile, the pile is sunk or driven into the ground.
