  • Patent number: 11807323
Abstract: A method for assembling a vehicle from a set of modules for travelling a planned route, wherein the set of modules comprises at least one functional module and a plurality of drive modules. Each drive module comprises a pair of wheels, electrical motor, and an interface releasably connectable to a corresponding interface on another module, wherein each drive module is configured to operate autonomously and has an individual set of energy parameters. The method comprising obtaining route information associated with route segments of the planned route, selecting a first drive module having an individual set of energy parameters matching route information associated with a first route segment and selecting a second drive module having an individual set of energy parameters matching route information associated with a second route segment, and thereafter commanding the drive modules to connect together and with a functional module.

  • Patent number: 11661314
Abstract: A cable brake includes a pair of brake shoes having braking surfaces facing one another and between which a brake cable is guided. A first brake shoe is movable between a braking position, pressing the cable against the braking surface of the other brake shoe, and a release position, releasing the cable between the brake shoes. A releasable retaining device retains the first brake shoe in the release position, and/or a reset device switches the first brake shoe from the braking position to the release position. Two rotatably mounted pivot arms connected to the first brake shoe are arranged in a parallelogram with one side oriented in parallel with the cable guidance direction. A switchable electromagnet of the retaining device holds the first brake shoe in the release position. The brake shoes, pivot arms, retaining device and reset device are arranged in a housing connected to an elevator car.

  • Patent number: 10669125
Abstract: An elevator rope guide system comprises a plurality of rope guides for restricting the swaying of at least one main rope and a plurality of stop mechanisms each configured to stop a corresponding rope guide. The rope guides are located above an elevator car and/or counterweight and are vertically movable along a hoistway. The stop mechanisms are positioned at different intermediate heights along the hoistway. The elevator rope guides are collected by the elevator car or counterweight as the elevator car or counterweight moves up and are stopped by a corresponding stop mechanism as the elevator car or counterweight moves down.

  • Patent number: 9598265
Abstract: An elevator system permitting horizontal movement of a normally vertically moving elevator cabin, the elevator cabin being automatically attached to or detached from an elevator frame and horizontally moved to or from another elevator shaft or other destination. While an elevator cabin is supported on an elevator frame or other surface, various cables, rods, plugs and other equipment are automatically connected to or disconnected from the elevator cabin to enable vertical or horizontal motion of the elevator cabin. Once disconnected from such devices, the elevator cabin can be propelled horizontally out of the elevator frame and elevator shaft, onto other surfaces, such as floors of a building, and move horizontally to another destination. An elevator cabin may also be horizontally moved into an elevator shaft and onto the surface of an elevator frame, and connected to the frame, thus enabling such cabin to then move vertically within an elevator shaft.
