Abstract: A carrying case comprises a housing having a bottom and a plurality of walls extending from the bottom thereof. A drawer is received by the housing when the carrying case is in a closed configuration. To move the carrying case from the closed configuration to an open configuration, the drawer is removed from the housing and rotated substantially ninety degrees relative to the housing such that the drawer extends substantially perpendicular to the housing when the carrying case is in the open configuration.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an adjustable rack apparatus that increases the storage, protection, accessibility, security, safety, and organization potential for items packed, for example, utility vehicle beds. The adjustable rack apparatus may be used in conjunction with a storage box that is either fixed to, separate from, or separable from, the adjustable rack. The adjustable rack apparatus comprises a frame, a fixed length rotatable arm, a variable length arm, and an adjustable storage rack. Level substantially vertical movement of the adjustable storage rack is achieved by proper positioning of the fixed length rotatable arms and the variable length arms relative to each other and the frame and the adjustable storage rack. Changing the length of the variable length arm causes movement of the fixed length rotatable arm and level substantially vertical movement of the storage rack.

Abstract: A portable carrying case is provided which can be converted between a manual carrying and rolling modes of operation. During the rolling modes of operation a handle is extended upward from the case, and the case is traversed along the floor surface by a roller means secured to the bottom of the case. A shoulder strap and/or manual graspable handle is provided for manual lifting of the case during its manual carrying mode of operation. A predetermined spacing is provided between the roller means and back wall of the case so that when the case is in its manual mode of operation the roller means, which may have accumulated dirt, will not be against the user's body.

Abstract: A multi-use notebook computer carrying case includes a top cover member and a bottom cover member. An accordion-like shroud connects the sides of the top and bottom cover members. A bottom tray having a height adjust mechanism is secured within the bottom cover member. The bottom cover member houses a plurality of drawers capable of being extended away from the bottom cover member to expose a storage compartment and provide additional working surface area. The bottom cover member further includes a height adjustable wrist pad. A protective windshield housed within the top cover member, is selectively engageable to protect against a hostile environment.

Abstract: A carrying case for a musical instrument or the like is disclosed in which a movable portion of the carrying case is mounted to the remainder of the carrying case for movement to an open position at which position the movable portion and the remainder of the body of the carrying case will support the carrying case in a stable, upright, freestanding position on a horizontal surface. The movable portion takes the form of a pair of front panels hingedly mounted to side panels, which are in turn hingedly mounted to the remainder of the carrying case to enable a double hinged opening of the carrying case until the front panels extend rearwardly of the carrying case and provide a highly stable support apparatus. The carrying case further includes means for releasably retaining the instrument in the carrying case and tray means mounted to provide a convenient equipment support surface.
