  • Patent number: 10143248
Abstract: A safety glove having a protective member or insert extending around the fingertip of the safety glove is provided. The protective member may be positioned along the outer surface or the inner surface of the glove. Alternatively, the protective member may be integrally formed between two layers of glove material. The protective member terminates distally from an interphalangeal joint line to enable finger flexion in order to grasp an item, such as a slab of meat to be deskinned in a skinning machine. The glove may include a rough outer surface formed from thrice dipping the glove and allowing the glove to cure. Additionally, the glove may have a width near the wrist that is wider than the width near the palm to enable the glove to be rapidly removed (i.e., doffed) in an emergency event of the glove getting caught in a rotating blade on the skinning machine.

  • Patent number: 10123644
Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing a disposable glove and applying it to the hand of a user in which a stream of air drawn into an enclosed glove applying chamber through a constricted opening aligned with the heel of the glove inflates the topmost glove in a stack of gloves in the chamber so that a user can readily insert his hand into the glove. After the user has donned the glove on the hand, a wall of the chamber is opened to permit the user to readily withdraw his hand from the glove applying chamber while the air flow which originally inflated the top-most glove is disrupted. Upon closures of the chamber wall, the re-established air flow automatically inflates the next lower glove in the glove stack to prepare the next glove for receipt of another hand.

  • Patent number: 10111476
Abstract: An ergonomic glove, fingered or fingerless, is provided for use with devices that require gripping such as ski poles, dumbbells, and bicycle handlebars. The glove shape is of a sports-fitted glove with built-up areas on the thumb, fingers, and palm, whereby when the wearer grips an item, the thumb is supported and the hand and wrist are in a neutral position generally aligned with the forearm. A thumb retainer is provided to position and support the thumb while bent. The glove is also provided with a padded insert or exsert of two different constructions, both having three portions, which insert or exsert acts to restrict the contraction of the successive fingers at a gradual rate. The insert/exsert causes the knuckles to be in linear alignment. The glove promotes improved alignment and stabilization of the user's body parts and in particular shoulders, hips, legs, etc., for greater stability and movement efficiency.

Abstract: Provided is a latex composition for dip forming which includes 100 parts by weight of a nitrile-based hybrid latex including a first latex and a second latex which have different glass transition temperatures, and 2 parts by weight to 8 parts by weight of an ion-conductive polymer having a weight-average molecular weight of 400 to 1,000. The latex composition for dip forming has excellent low-temperature stability and a dip-formed article prepared using the composition has excellent tensile strength and elongation. Since wearing comfort is improved due to a decrease in modulus, the dip-formed article may be suitable for industries requiring such properties.
