In one embodiment, a headwear includes a crown, a chin strap coupled to the crown, the chin strap having a first strap portion and a second strap portion, and a set of fasteners to which one or more different components are configured to removably attach, the set of fasteners including a first fastener positioned on the first strap portion of the chin strap and a second fastener positioned on the second strap portion of the chin strap.

In a worn state, the first and second holding parts are respectively positioned laterally to left and right carotid arteries. The headgear includes a headgear main body to be worn on a head and a neck cover that covers a neck, the first and second holding parts are provided in the neck cover, the first holding part is a first pocket that stores the first cooling member, the second holding part is a second pocket that stores the second cooling member, and the headgear includes a coupling part that detachably couples a left end part and a right end part of the neck cover.

Abstract: A hooded garment can include a torso section extending from a waist region to a neck region, where the torso section includes a chest region and a back region. The hooded garment includes a hood extending upward from the neck region and having a front opening, a right sleeve extending from a right shoulder region of the right torso region and having a first wrist opening, and a left sleeve extending from a left shoulder region of the left torso region and having a second wrist opening.

Abstract: A bill cap or baseball cap has a crown and a bill as conventional. Additional, the bill cap has an elastic panel affixed at an edge thereof to front and left side edges of the bill. The elastic panel is capable of being flipped between an upward position in which the panel extends upwardly from the bill, and a downward position in which the panel extends downwardly from the bill. In the downward position the panel provides additional shading for the eyes of the wearer and/or privacy for the wearer when viewed from the side, thus providing additional anonymity for the wearer such as from paparazzi.

Abstract: A hat having a body of conforming material to cover at least a portion of a wearer's head and at least generally encircle the head about a forehead or upper crown, and a depending projection on at least one side having a lower boundary lower than a respective ear lobe of the wearer; an opposing pair of substantially wide under chin straps of conforming material attached to lower left and right boundaries of the body, the straps being fastened with a non-tying securing couple fixed to the under chin straps; and, in part of the depending projection, a soft, conforming open mesh to cover the external hardware of a cochlear implant or a traditional hearing aid, and provide for securing of the same when worn by the wearer and for external visibility of the same by a non-wearer of the hat. The wearer may be a young child.

Abstract: A head cover that can be worn by health care professionals is provided. The head cover includes a surgical cap portion and a bouffant cap portion. The surgical cap portion includes a top surface and a side panel secured to the top surface via a seam. Further, the bouffant cap portion is secured to a rear portion of the side panel, where the bouffant cap portion is maintained against the rear portion of the side panel in an undeployed state and is deployable from the rear portion of the side panel to contain a wearer's hair. As such, the head cover enables a wearer to secure his or her hair inside the bouffant cap as needed, yet bouffant cap portion does not cover the wearer's entire head, which minimizes the amount of heat that is trapped within the head cover and increases the level of comfort for the wearer.

Abstract: Headwear for partially covering a hat is described wherein the hat has a crown and a headband region. The headwear comprises a piece of material of an irregular shape which has an aperture located closer to a side portion of the headwear material than other sides of the material. The aperture size is adjustable so as to permit the headwear material to be fixable to the hat about the headband region of the hat and to leave the crown of the hat uncovered by the material. The specification also discloses a hood for clothing having an adjustable sized aperture so as to permit the hood material to be fixable to the hat about the headband region of the hat and to leave the crown of the hat uncovered by the material while the hood is still part of the clothing such as a sweat shirt.

Abstract: A piece of apparel comprises a hooded garment, a cap having a front, and a securing system associated with the hood of the hooded garment. The securing system comprises a band that contacts the front of the cap and secures the cap to a wearer's head when the hood is up and that secures the cap within the hood with the hood is down. The band extends from one side of the interior of the hood, across the front of the cap and to the other side of the interior of the hood. The band can comprise an elastic portion so that the band compresses the front of the cap when in use.

Abstract: A reversible cover apparatus comprises a cover portion having an opening configured for receiving an object to cover the object and a pouch portion coupled to the cover portion, the pouch portion having an opening for receiving the cover portion. The reversible cover apparatus is reversible between: a first position as a covering for an object wherein the pouch portion is disposed in the cover portion and the cover portion opening can receive an object to cover the object; and a reversed, second position, wherein the cover portion is disposed within the pouch portion through the pouch portion opening and an outer surface of the pouch portion provides an external appearance of a desired item.

Abstract: A retractable sunshade cap includes a crown having a forwardly extending visor, three sunshield members, and fastening members. The bottom end of the sunshield members are permanently attached to the base of the crown using permanent fastening members or sewing stitches or other permanent attachment methods. Left and right sunshield members are disposed with their front ends attached near the front centerline of the crown so that they drape forwardly down the side of the visor. Rear sunshield member is disposed so that it drapes down from near the rear crown portion. Detachable fastening members are deployed to secure angled folded flaps that reduce the size of the sunshield members for storage, and are also deployed to secure portions of the sunshield members onto the crown near its vertex for independent retraction and targeted shading of the face and neck.

Abstract: A deployable flag bracelet is provided herein. The deployable flag bracelet includes a medial longitudinal flap member, a first longitudinal flap member, and a deployable flag portion. The medial longitudinal flap member includes a first longitudinal edge and an opposing longitudinal edge where the deployable flag portion is coextensive with the first longitudinal edge and the first longitudinal flap member is coextensive with the opposing longitudinal edge. The deployable flap portion is rollable for storage into contact overlying the medial longitudinal flap member and thereat concealable beneath the first longitudinal flap member. A first transverse edge and an opposing transverse edge of the medial longitudinal flap member further includes a first end flap and a second end flap, respectively, for endwise attachment therebetween to form a bracelet. The bracelet is to be worn about a user's wrist for convenient transport of the deployable flag portion for cleaning optical surfaces.

Abstract: A foldable helmet for use in various athletic activities, and which includes a structure that facilitates folding the helmet into a compact position for storage and/or transport of same. The helmet includes an outer shell having an inner cavity, and one or more inner members positioned within the inner cavity that slideably engage same. The inner members are not fixedly attached to each other at any point, and are therefore slideable relative to each other. The helmet's inner member(s) and outer shell are made of flexible materials, whereby the helmet is foldable from an open position to a closed position. A packaged helmet assembly is also disclosed, including the foldable helmet and a storage container dimensioned so as to receive the helmet in its closed position.

Abstract: The present invention is a removable, reusable and interchangeable multi-shell lining configured for placement within a hat member, cap or any sort of head-wear for adjustable thermal comfort, moisture retention, reduction of friction thus reducing frizz and breakage of naturally dry and curly hair. The lining is comprised of a satin outer shell, satin-encased thermal middle shell and waterproof inner shell. The three shells, which are not bonded together, provide optimal moisture retention, reduction of friction of hair and thermal comfort. The three constituent shells are intended for contact with the wearer, can be interchanged and or used as a single shell lining while still maintaining hair moisture and reducing hair frizz and breakage.

Abstract: The present invention is an earmuff including first and second muff portions with a clip disposed between them. The clip is manipulatable into closed and open positions. When the clip is open, the upper sections of the first and second muff portions are separated. When the clip is closed, the upper sections are together. The earmuffs are designed to cover a human ear and are to be clipped to the headband of a cap by putting the earmuff into the open position, positioning the earmuff around the headband, and positioning the earmuff into the closed position.

Abstract: A collapsible helmet including a shell having two or more components which are hingedly connected together about fold lines extending across the shell. Each component includes a plurality of panels with each panel being hingedly connected to at least one adjacent panel. The shell may be adjustable between a first configuration in which the helmet may be placed over the head of the user and a second configuration in which the components are flattened and are arranged in a substantially overlying relationship.

Abstract: A head band comprises a band portion and a tightening portion. The band portion has a first band and a second band, wherein an outer surface of the first band opposes an inner surface of the second band. The head band further comprises at least one spacer between the first and the second band forming a gap between the first band and the second band. The tightening portion has a strap and a tightener configured to tighten the strap, wherein the strap is hingedly connected at approximately each end of the band portion. Other embodiments of the head band, and visors, caps, and hats incorporating the head band, are described herein.

Abstract: An accessory for a hat is disclosed which a wearer can use to show support for a team, cause or event and/or to protect the wearer from rain and damaging UV rays. In particular, the hat accessory may receive a protective covering with printed indicia on the exterior surface thereof. The protective covering may also be coated with a water repellent and also embedded with a treatment for UV protection. The protective covering may be removably attachable to the hat accessory so that the wearer can show support to a particular team, event or cause depending on the circumstances.

Abstract: A headgear accessory that can be utilized with headgear to provide the wearer with sun protection along the back of the head and neck are disclosed. According to one example, the headgear accessory can have a shade and an attachment member. The shade can be configured of a formable material adapted to cover a rear portion of the head and a rear portion of the neck of a wearer. The shade can have at least one aperture disposed adjacent a first end thereof. The attachment mechanism can include a snap configured to be insertable in the at least one aperture and a spring loaded grasping mechanism adapted to couple with the snap to attach the spring loaded grasping mechanism to the shade.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a more suitable method of temporarily affixing a sunshade to a cap with a half moon shaped opening at the bottom of the back of the cap. The sunshade generally includes a strap especially designed to provide a firm and close assembly to the cap, and a shield, which is sewed to the strap, designed to provide the necessary sun protection. The strap has a concave shape, and has three clips to secure it firmly and fixed to the cap. The shield is made of a lightweight fabric or cloth and its shape and size will varied to accommodate the sunshade design to the cap size, especially to accommodate the sunshade to caps for men, women or children.

Abstract: Headwear suitable for wearing in cold weather, such as a hat or a face mask, that has ear warmers secured on the inside of the hat or face mask which have a frame with a band and a first and second ear portion. The hat is provided with a shape suitable for securing the hat around a person's head so as to conform to the contours of the head to substantially minimize gaps between the hat and the head. Unexpectedly, the band of the ear warmer within the sleeve of the hat provides tension to the hat that causes it to hug the back of the head. At the same time, the first and second ear portions keep the ears of the wearer securely covered.

Abstract: Left and right ear shades that are removably connectable to the bottom of a baseball-style cap or headband of a hardhat and fit around the back, top, and front of the ears. The shades can be positioned to accommodate the wearer. Each ear shade includes a forked clip that receives the hat band between inner and outer tines. For relatively thick hat bands, such as a those of baseball caps, the forked clip provides adequate resilient clamping force between the tines against the hat band to hold the ear shade in place. An optional removable clip fits around the top of the tines and resiliently connects near the bottom of the fork. Use of this optional removable clip allows the ear shade to be held in place on hats having hat bands that are too thin to be held in place solely by the clamping force of the fork tines.

Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, there is provided an improved head covering for use in recreation, work, and sport. It is comprised of a rectangular piece of fabric with opposite snap ends placed on the corners of one side to secure the head covering to one's head. It includes an additional snaps at the center point of the same side enabling the front fabric side containing snaps to be folded upon itself and secured, forming a brim/headband. The rear portion falls loosely over the head and covers the back and sides of the neck. The hat can be worn in at least 4 different styles.

Abstract: A visor system with an easily removable cloth headpiece is disclosed. A visor is provided with clips or other attachments for receiving a fabric or sheet headpiece that covers at least the head and back of the neck of a wearer. In some embodiments, the headpiece is provided with sides that protect sides of the neck and face of the wearer. In other embodiments, a neck protector is provided that is held in place by the visor strap, and which covers the back and sides of the neck of the wearer. The headpieces may be constructed of fabric, plastic sheet material or even a thick absorbent paper material, and may have advertising or other printed material thereon.

Abstract: A knit hat that has sleeve, wherein the sleeve encloses an ear warmer having a frame with a band and a first and second ear portions that are at least partially covered by the hat when worn. The hat is formed of a thread yarn material and the hat is provided with a shape suitable for securing the hat around a person's head so as to conform to the contours of the head to substantially minimize gaps between the hat and the head. Unexpectedly, the band of the ear warmer within the sleeve of the hat provides tension to the hat that causes it to hug the back of the head. At the same time, the first and second ear portions keep the ears of the wearer securely covered.

Abstract: A sun hat includes a hat body which has a crown portion, a peak portion extended forwards from the bottom of the crown portion and an annular brim portion extended rearwards from two sides of the peak portion. The brim portion is embedded with at least one flexible wire set by stitching. The sun hat thus formed not only can block sunshine, the brim portion also can be flipped upwards in a set profile through the flexible wire embedded inside, hence provides improved air ventilation to enhance comfort and usability.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a clothing article for covering the head of a wearer. The clothing article includes a closed band for attaching the article to a head of a wearer. The band is capable of being configured around the head and allowing the head to protrude through the band. The clothing article includes a cape attached to a portion of the band, the cape capable of being draped down a back of the neck of the wearer.

Abstract: A sun protection device including a frame and a drape attached to the frame, where at least a portion of the frame can be removably positioned between the crown and the sweatband of a hat. When the frame is positioned between the crown and sweatband of the hat, the drape hangs downward from the crown, thereby shading at least a portion of a wearer's neck. In one embodiment, the frame and the drape extend around at least one half (and preferably about two-thirds) of the circumference of the crown of the hat, allowing the drape to shade the wearer's neck and ears. The upper edge of the drape may be stitched or otherwise attached to the upper edge of the frame. The drape may be any suitable fabric, and is preferably capable of blocking at least a portion of the sun's UV rays.

Abstract: A sleeping cap for lifting the face of a person away from a sleeping surface to prevent facial wrinkles comprises a U-shaped basic form covered with a fabric and having first and second extensions, each of the extensions being flexibly positioned within the fabric adjacent to each leg end of the U-shaped basic form, and the fabric covering the end of first extension is attached to the fabric at the end of the second extension to form the sleeping cap. Straps from each side of the sleeping cap secure the cap on the person's head. An alternate embodiment provides an elastic encased in the sleeping cap not having straps, and including a one piece foam rubber basic form enclosed within two stitched pieces of fabric, a lace ring with a ribbon at the top edge of the lace ring, and the lace ring is tacked to a portion of the basic form, to form a gathered top of the sleeping cap.

Abstract: A fabric sunshade can be assembled with glasses having temples. The sunshade is made of a piece of fabric and is provided with at least one passageway having a pair of open ends. The passageway is located adjacent to or near an edge of the sunshade for receiving the temples of the glasses to attach the sunshade to the glasses. When the glasses and sunshade are worn by a person a portion of the passageway is disposed on a back side of the head of the person and the sunshade extends downward to shade at least a portion of a neck of the person.

Abstract: A fabric sunshade can be used alone or may be assembled with glasses having temples. The sunshade has a first edge, an opposed second edge, and third and fourth edges that each extend between the first edge and the second edge. An opening in the sunshade is disposed nearer to the first edge than the second edge. The sunshade is symmetrical about an axis that extends from the first edge to the second edge and passes through the opening. In close proximity to each of the third and fourth edges the sunshade is provided with a fastening system that may be used to fasten a first portion of the sunshade to a second portion of the sunshade when the sunshade is folded over on itself either in a direction perpendicular to the axis of symmetry or in a direction parallel to the axis of symmetry.

Abstract: A head-covering apparatus is disclosed, which extends over the top of a human head and down its sides and toward the back of the neck. The apparatus has a forward extending portion with two pocket-style openings, the first pocket for receiving a flexible material that makes up the head-covering portion of the apparatus, and the second pocket for receiving the visor or bill of a baseball-style hat. The apparatus can be affixed to the visor/bill of a baseball-style hat and used in two different configurations: in the first configuration, the invention is “unfurled” so that its flexible material covers the human head and portions of the baseball hat; in the second configuration, the invention is compacted such that its flexible material is rolled or folded into a small compacted size, and then placed into the second pocket of the forward extending portion.

Abstract: Left and right ear shades that are connectable to the bottom of an ordinary baseball cap, etc. Each ear shade removably attaches to the side of the hat and can be moved forward or backward along the hat to accommodate the wearer. Each ear shade includes an attachment member for releasably connecting the ear shade to the hat. Connected to the attachment member is an arcuate cover, which is ideally shaped to fit around the at least part of the back, the top, and part of the front of the ear. A retaining element extends from the rearward end, wherein the retaining element includes a receiver opening to receive and retain hair extending from underneath the body away from the body.

The filtration material may also be capable of passing electrical signals therethrough. The headgear may be providing with sensors, and be part of a monitoring system.

Abstract: Apparatus for shading a user's neck. In some embodiments, a support device comprises a flexible, generally U-shaped structure with a laterally extending central portion to accommodate attachment of a proximal edge of a neckpiece, and opposing leg portions which extend from the central portion to engage the headwear. In further embodiments, the neckpiece preferably comprises a layer of flexible material with a proximal end supported adjacent a headwear and an opposing distal end configured to be suspended adjacent to a base of the user's neck. A support portion is formed from laterally extending first and second panels which fold together to form a V-shaped channel circumferentially extending in contact against an outermost rearward surface of the headwear. A flap portion extending from the second panel is moveable between a deployed state to cover the user's neck to a retracted state in which the flap portion is gathered into the channel.

Abstract: A winter liner system, including a hunter knit liner for wear underneath a protective helmet. The hunter knit liner fully encircles, and partially covers, the head of the wearer and includes a decorative exterior layer, an interior layer, and an interior foam layer sandwiched therebetween. The liner has two ear flaps extending downwardly to cover ears, and a looping band on each ear flap for holding the chinstrap of the helmet. At least one ear flap includes a side pocket integrated therein. The liner includes an elongated bill extending downwardly and horizontally across the front portion.
