An embolic protection device may include an anchor section that is positionable within an arterial branch of the aorta and a shield section that is operatively coupled to the anchor section. The shield section is positionable relative to one or more ostia of the aortic branches and is held in that position by the anchor section.

Abstract: A vehicle operated cleaning bin for cleaning a storage grid of a storage system includes a connector suitable for attaching the cleaning bin to a lifting device of a remotely operating vehicle being configured to vertically convey the cleaning bin into the storage grid by aid of the lifting device. Further, the vehicle operated cleaning bin includes a cleaner provided for removing foreign debris from the storage grid.

Abstract: A reusable, one-piece, rubberized tape protector cover for a roll of tape that fits snugly onto the roll to protect its edges from coming into contact with dirt or moisture that might be on the floor. The device has a spindle of varying widths to accommodate different thicknesses of tape and two parallel side walls that extend outward from the spindle in wheel-like fashion. The device is installed on a roll of tape by compressing one of the two side walls and then pushing the compressed side wall through the hollow center of the roll of tape before releasing it. When released, the side wall resumes its former shape. In this installed position, the spindle is located within the hollow part of the roll of tape and the two parallel side walls extend on either side of the roll of tape and hug the side edges of the tape.

The seat includes a acting portion for installing and cutting a tape, and a support portion connecting to the acting portion and supporting the acting portion to be placed on a surface. The support portion includes a first pivotal portion and a first adhesion portion for adhering to the surface. The cover is pivotally connected to the support portion, and includes a second pivotal portion pivotally engaged with the first pivotal portion, and a covering portion connected to the second pivotal portion and formed at an area larger than that of the first adhesion portion. The covering portion comprises a first position at which the covering portion covers the first adhesion portion, and a second position at which the covering portion is disengaged from the first adhesion portion to make the first adhesion portion adhere to the surface.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a flexible boot for at least partially encompassing an electronic device. In one embodiment, the boot includes a rear panel and a sidewall extending from the real panel. The sidewall includes an inner surface, an outer surface, and a plurality of compressible hollow regions positioned between the inner surface and the outer surface. The rear panel and the inner surface of the sidewall at least partially define a cavity configured to receive the device. Other embodiments of the present disclosure provide a case for housing an electronic device. In one embodiment, the case includes an elastomeric boot and a rigid posterior portion defining an opening therethrough through which a portion of the boot extends. The boot includes a sidewall and is configured to receive the device such that the sidewall at least partially surrounds a plurality of lateral sides of the device.

Abstract: An earbud holder for a belt is provided. The earbud may be a speaker, headphone or the like for allowing a user to hear an audio transmission. The earbud holder moves from a closed First Position A to an open Second Position B so as to allow a user to open and store an earbud. The earbud holder has a front panel and a back panel wherein the front panel moves with respect to the back panel and wherein magnets secure the earbud holder in the closed First Position A. The earbud holder has a generally u-shaped drawer located between the front panel and the back panel for securing the earbud.

Abstract: A wire box assembly is disclosed that has a container having a base, four upright side walls and a separable lid. The base has a generally rectangular peripheral shape and a central raised portion with a cruciform projection extending inwardly upward between the upright side walls. The lid has a generally rectangular peripheral shape configured to mate with the four upright side walls of the container and having a central raised portion with a cruciform projection extending from the central raised portion. The lid cruciform projection is configured to face the container cruciform projection when the lid is attached to the container.

Abstract: A container for packaging a product for retail display includes a base defining a product containment area with an annular rim defining an opening into the containment area and a lid mated to the rim for selective attachment to and detachment from the rim for opening and closing access into the containment area. At least one leg, preferably a pair of legs, is connected outwardly to the base adjacent the rim for supporting the assembled base and lid for self-standing on a substantially horizontal retail display surface with the base and the lid in a substantially vertical orientation.

Abstract: A package for storing a roll of monofilament line with a cutting tool embedded in the package and a related method. The package is formed from two opposing clamshell portions made from sheets of film and pivotally connected together. A chamber is formed when the two clamshell portions are sealed together to store the roll of monofilament line. An aperture in one of the clamshell portions allows a length of monofilament line to be dispensed from within the chamber. A cutting tool is at least partially disposed between the two clamshell portions or inserted into a pocket in one of the clamshell portions when sealed together to attach the cutting tool to the package. At least a portion of the cutting tool is accessible from outside the package for cutting a length of monofilament line being dispensed from the package.

Abstract: The Invention is a hand carried barrel shaped plastic molded case with two mating sides connected with a hinge, which when the case is closed around a spool of wire, protect the wire from damage during storage, transport and use. The case has an integral handle to make transport of the wire easier and helps protect the spool from damage if the case is dropped. The case incorporates locking tabs on the two sides of the case. The case also comes with a locking hole in the handle through which a padlock can be placed to prevent theft of the wire. The case has a dispensing hole or slot for the wire. The case can be translucent or molded of different colors to correspond to specific types or gauges of wire.

Abstract: A substantially toroidal container for coiled vegetation trimmer line has a front shell and a rear shell capable of bonding at the center with heat and pressure, radio frequency, ultrasonic welding, adhesive, or attachment mechanisms. The bonding of the shells leaves a separation between the outer edges of the shells. The separation is nonlinear around the circumference of the container, so that a user can access the trimmer line, but the trimmer line cannot uncoil and spill out of the container. The separation is preferably defined by a series of offset uniform teeth on the outer edges of the shells. One or more teeth may be removed, providing a line aperture through which the end of the trimmer line extends out of the container. Male and female indices on each shell are used to align the teeth during packaging.

Abstract: A storage case for a plurality of clamping bands is provided. More specifically, a storage case that comprises a cover interconnected to a housing is provided that includes an area with selectively removable tabs that provides increased access to the band clamps stored therein. The storage case of embodiments of the present invention allows for the storage of different types of bands in a pre-defined order to facilitate the use of such bands in a particular work project.

Abstract: A protective cartridge case for housing a storage cartridge having at least one reel is provided. The protective cartridge case includes a housing for enclosing the storage cartridge therein, the housing including a top portion and a bottom portion having opposing major inner surfaces in a closed position. A first absorbing member is disposed adjacent the inner surface of the top portion and a second absorbing member is disposed adjacent the inner surface of the bottom portion. The protective case further including a first absorbing member disposed adjacent the inner surface of the top portion and a second absorbing member disposed adjacent the inner surface of the bottom portion for absorbing forces on the cartridge during a shock event. Additional absorbing members may be disposed adjacent minor side surfaces of the housing for cushioning minor side surfaces of the cartridge.

Abstract: A rope can system which incorporates storage for lariat, piggin string, gloves, and an integral seating arrangement is disclosed. The disclosed invention is particularly well suited for use in competition rodeo scenarios wherein a cowboy or cowgirl has need for storage of competition materials used in calf roping. The present system permits uniform storage of lariat ropes and the like, as well as the piggin string used for securing the calf. Other accessories such as gloves may also be stored in the water-tight compartments of the disclosed invention. A key feature of the disclosed invention is the incorporation of a seating arrangement to permit the rope can to be used as a resting apparatus while the cowboy/cowgirl waits for their opportunity to compete.

Abstract: A divider for use in handling quantities of yarn spools arranged in layers. The divider includes a main body generally planar polygonal portion and a skirt portion extending around the periphery of the main body portion and formed into a series of circumferentially spaced, arcuate, inwardly opening scallops with each scallop having a curvature substantially matching the curvature of the yarn spools so that, with a layer of spools positioned on the main body portion and the skirt upstanding from the main body portion, each scallop may compliantly engage the outer periphery of an individual outer spool of the spool layer. Each scallop is connected to the main body portion by a strap extending from the main body portion to the scallop and the scallops are connected together to form a continuous circumferential band.

Abstract: Disclosed are a filament cassette and a filament loading assembly for supplying filament in a three-dimensional deposition modeling machine. The filament cassette contains a rotatable spool of filament, and has an exit orifice through which a filament strand may exit the cassette. The filament loading assembly is mounted on the modeling machine and receives the filament cassette. The filament loading assembly has conduit for receiving a strand of filament from the cassette and a drive means for advancing the filament strand through the conduit. The filament cassette and loading assembly of the present invention provide a convenient manner of loading and unloading filament from the modeling machine. The filament cassette and the conduit may be made airtight so that the filament is protected from moisture in the environment.

The tote assembly may be connected by one or more post and receptacle connectors and multiple tote assemblies may be stacked by a dimple and depression arrangement. The tote assembly further may include a removable buckle container and a removable cutting tool. Also provided is a method of inserting the banding material directly into a closed tote assembly through a band opening and winding the banding material therewithin.

Abstract: A wire containing or dispensing article and method are disclosed. The invention is used to dispense wire from a tubular wire carrier. The invention is particularly useful for containing/dispensing a guidewire, especially a coated guidewire. The article is an elongate dispensing sleeve or collar having an axial hole or bore through which a wire may pass. The sleeve has a cylindrical sleeve body with lateral projections on its outside and a plurality of transverse slits passing through its wall. The lateral projections and slits cooperate to permit wire to be restrictively engaged at the bore and to be controllably dispensed from the carrier by the partial insertion and removal of the sleeve into and out of the carrier. The method is controllable dispensing of the wire from the carrier by utilization of the article.

Abstract: A shock shield formed of an annular body having a central axial hole which mounts within a case is disclosed. A cylindrical axial ring is formed around the central axial hole. The shock shield permits a tape reel stored within the case to rotate within the case and absorbs shocks to prevent damage to the tape reel. A tab on the shield mates with the tape reel to prevent relative rotation therebetween. Shock absorption is accomplished by compressible elements formed on the shield body. The compressible elements are annular bearing rings concentric with the annular circumference. The annular bearing rings have a generally V-shaped cross section and an axial height less than the axial height of the axial ring. The shield body preferably is formed of four spaced radial members to enhance flexion.

A spool member (50) can be securely strapped (70) between two pallet assemblies (10). Each frame (11) includes a plurality of openings (17A, 17B) for cooperating with the internal coupling members (30,40) and a central aperture (16) for receiving a portion of the spool member (50). Each frame (11) also has perimeter side support means (15,15A) and internal support means (24,25,26) for supporting the load placed upon the assembled unit load assembly (10).

Abstract: A liner for a cargo container and a method of installing a liner inside a cargo container. The liner comprises an inflatable body and left and right connecting strips that are connected to the liner body. The left connecting strip extends along and laterally projects outside a bottom left edge of the liner body, and the right connecting strip extends along and laterally projects outside a bottom right edge of the liner body. The liner is placed inside the container, with the left connecting strip positioned on the container floor adjacent the left side wall of the container, and with the right connecting strip positioned on the container floor adjacent the right side wall of the container. These two connecting strips are then releasably clamped to the container floor, for example by securely nailing wooden slats to the container floor, over the connecting strips. Also disclosed is a method of fluidizing a bulk cargo inside a lined cargo container to facilitate unloading the cargo from the container.

Abstract: A rubber band dispensing container for storing and dispensing rubber bands or like objects. The dispensing container comprises a unitary plastic molded body having a receptacle cover and a confronting base adjoined along a common edge by an integral hinge and further includes cooperative locking members extending outwardly from the edges of the receptacle cover and the base opposite the integral hinge for cooperative engagement therebetween when the dispensing container is in a closed configuration to securely maintain the closed position and to prevent accidental opening thereof. The dispensing container is further provided with a flap for creating a dispenser opening on the receptacle cover for inserting fingers to remove rubber bands or like objects stored therein when the dispensing container is in the closed position.

Abstract: A dispenser for surgical wire has a housing with a cover, the housing having a spirally formed channel therein for receiving guidewire. The housing and cover form an integral cassette. The cassette has an inlet connector through which sterilizing fluid may be injected into the channel and an output port through which the guidewire may be uncoiled from the cassette. A web of the housing is shaped to provide a means of securing a J-shaped tip of the guidewire during transportation so that it does not become unwound inside the cassette.

Abstract: A protective wrapper made of sheet metal for individual cylindrical ribbon coils of coiled metal sheeting to protect the coils individually from damage and from atmospheric corrosive agents. The wrapper is constructed from two discoidal end caps having a band defining a sleeve open at one end and an annular, radially inwardly projecting flange at the other end. The caps are disposed at opposite ends of the coil with the band or sleeve thereof extending toward each other. Each sleeve has an axial extent so that they overlap along marginal edges at the open ends over the coil. Each flange has pleats or corrugations extending radially increasing in depth toward the center of the coil. Each end cap flange has a center opening which will align coaxially with the center of the coil. A tubular insert for each end is inserted into the center of the coil and each insert has a radial flange extending outwardly to overlap the corresponding end cap flange.

Abstract: A bobbin for desoldering braid includes a hub and heads extending outwardly at the end of the hub. One head has a curling portion of flexible material establishing a surface in overlying and spaced relationship to the peripheral edge of the other radially extending flat head to cover the winding of braid on the hub when curled inwardly to a closed position and extending away from the flat head to expose the winding when curled to an open position. The hub is formed with a slot which can be narrowed by applying pressure to the ends of the hub in order to hold the end of the braid during winding. Upon release of the pressure the end of the braid is released from the slot and the winding of braid is held loosely between the heads of the bobbin. The braid is thereby permitted to slip during unwinding by pulling the braid straight out from the bobbin with a minimum of friction between the braid and the heads of the bobbin.

Means defining a guide channel for a slidable cover member on the upper end of said container is provided. The cover member being slidably positioned in the guide channel. The container is open at the upper end of one of the normally vertical walls to permit movement of the slidable cover into or out of the guide channel. A ventilating passage means is provided in at least one of the normally vertical walls.

Abstract: A coil of steel banding tape is contained within a flat toroidal container. The end of the tape is withdrawn from an aperture in the outer peripheral wall of the container, and the central space in the container is large enough to admit the human arm, so that the pack can be carried on site on the arm of the user. The flat annular walls are in fact preferably slightly convex in profile between the inner and outer peripheral walls so that the coil is not clamped by the user gripping the pack in one hand. The inside surface of the outer peripheral wall is preferably also provided with a series of inward projections to keep the tape out of contact with the inside surface of the wall.

Abstract: A package for a plurality of stacked rolls or reels of recording media in tape form is provided with central holding means for the rolls or reels, and consists of a bottom member and a cover member which together have the shape of a cylindrical cheesebox, the cover member having a handle for carrying the closed container, and the bottom member having a handle for carrying it with or without tape rolls or reels. The cover member and bottom member may be provided externally with matching projections and depressions to enable a plurality of packages to be stacked in a virtually gap-free and interlocking manner.

Abstract: An improved camshaft having a plurality of journals with a removable sleeve positioned between at least one set of adjacent camshaft bearing journals. The sleeve has an outer surface which does not extend past the outer surface of the two adjacent journals and presents a continuous cylinder spanning the space between adjacent cam bearings thereby assisting in the insertion of the camshaft into an engine. After insertion into the engine, the sleeve is removed.

Abstract: A protective pack for holding a cartridge for a daisy wheel type printer is disclosed. The cartridge has a supply spool for holding a fresh ribbon pancake and a take-up spool for holding used ribbon. The cartridge body has a viewport extending radially adjacent the ribbon pancake to allow observation thereof. The cartridge includes two arms which define a path for the ribbon to pass between the paper and the printer mechanism. Two drive gears are serially engaged with each other and with the ribbon drive means. When the first drive wheel is driven by a drive shaft of the printer, the second acts as an idler gear so that the direction of ribbon take-up is the same as the direction of the rotation of the drive shaft. When the second gear is driven, it drives the ribbon drive gear means directly so that the rotational direction of the ribbon take-up is opposite that of the drive shaft. The drive gears are located and their lower portions are configured to engage the respective drive shafts of various printers.

Each wall is provided with an open slot starting from the edge of the pertaining wall remote from the base plate and extending about half-way down towards the latter, whereby the two components become sufficiently deformable to permit a fitting together, to form either a closed box, or a stand presenting an open front for serving-out purposes.The slots in two oppositely located walls are formed to carry the ends of the shaft and the slot in the intermediate wall preferably is deeper than the slots in the first mentioned walls.A box of this type may be fitted in an apparatus having a rotatable drum for coiling up the wasted foil band, as this is pulled out of the spool, to make the food-stuff available.

Abstract: A cassette and associated spool for film, sound track and like material, with means for supporting the outer areas of the spool flanges to prevent sagging and warping of the spool flanges. The support means comprises interengaging formations on the cassette and on the spool. The interengaging formations may include projections on one of the cassette and the spool and recesses on the other of the cassette and the spool. Alternatively, the formations may comprise resiliently and radially displaceable areas of the cassette side wall which locate between the spool flanges when the cassette lid is fitted to the cassette base.
