Mercurial Adhesion Or Suspension And Stratifying Patents (Class 209/43)
  • Patent number: 9511376
Abstract: A sluice plate for capturing and concentrating heavy metal particles has a main plate and a plurality of spiral pockets. The main plate includes a main body and a drafting surface over which a processing mixture flows. The plurality of spiral pockets traverses into the main body through the drafting surface, wherein the plurality of spiral pockets collects heavy metal particles from the processing mixture. Each of the plurality of spiral pockets has a lateral wall that tapers from an upper opening to a lower face. An inner lip is perimetrically and helically positioned along the lateral wall. The inner lip and the tapered nature of each of the plurality of spiral pockets facilitates the movement of the processing mixture within the plurality of spiral pockets, along with the stratification of the heavy metal particles.

  • Patent number: 9314753
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a multi plane mixer and separator (MPMS) system. The system comprises a base frame of predetermined shape configured to form a base for the MPMS system. A motor is mounted to the base frame for rotating the MPMS system. A ball joint mechanism is fixed to the motor using a link and other end of the ball joint mechanism is coupled to a fork. A container holding frame is connected to the fork using bars, wherein said container holding frame is capable of tilting up to 120° with respect to the base frame. And an MPMS container of predetermined shape detachably mounted on the container holding frame for mixing fluids of different density.

  • Patent number: 4110206
Abstract: Heavy metals such as mercury, gold, platinum, rhodium, osmium, silver, lead, palladium, etc., in the free state, are separated from their ore by applying water and the ore to a plurality of two to six rotating, inclined, spiral grooved wheels driven from a common shaft. The grooves are closely spaced and may have a declining pitch from the wheel at its periphery to its central annulus. The free metal tends to sink to the bottom of the grooves and the lighter ore is washed away as the metal moves along the spiral grooves to the annulus. The free metal and any remaining ore is fed from the annulus to the succeeding wheel and the process is repeated.Mercury may be added to any of the wheels to facilitate separation of the metal from the ore. A separating wheel having a unique groove design is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4103777
Abstract: A separator for mixed solid particulate materials such as gold or heavy minerals which are dispersed in a host material such as sand. A circular disc has a slanting surface with a plurality of riffles for catching the heavy materials. The riffles are defined by a plurality of annular baffles each having short radial walls projecting toward the center of the disc. A water turbine having off-center weights is used to vibrate the disc.
