The weight of the shelf pulls the abutment support into engagement with the abutment surface and pushes the insertion leg into engagement with the recess, holding the shelf horizontally.

    Abstract: To more easily allow storage of removable products, e.g. soft drinks, bulk items, and the like, on a shelf that can be maneuvered into and out from storage places where space may be at a premium, a first embodiment of a rotatable shelf comprises a base having an upper surface and a lower surface; a spindle attached to the center of the base; a plurality of wheels attached to the lower surface of the base; a plurality of load support bearings attached at predetermined positions on the upper surface of the base; and a platform having substantially the same length and width dimensions of the base. The platform is rotatably attached to the spindle and disposed on the load support bearings substantially parallel to a horizontal plane defined by the upper surface of the base. In other embodiments, a plurality of platforms may be present.

The mechanism is mounted in the corner of the cabinet. To fit the mechanism within the cabinet, a height adjustment device is formed by positioning the second upper post in the upper end of the first lower post for slidable movement therebetween. When securement of the two joined posts and mounted shelves is desired, the slidably movable second upper post is extended upwardly until it engages the upper mounting bracket mounted on the cabinet.
