Abstract: A fluid mating system includes a fitting connector, a mating connector and a planar slip system. The fitting connector includes an exterior mating surface and a first interior fluid passage that permits fluid flow along a first direction. The mating connector includes an interior surface that includes a tapered lead-in portion, an interior mating surface, and a second interior fluid passage. The second interior fluid passage permits fluid flow in the first direction. The first interior fluid passage and the second interior fluid passage include a single fluid path when the interior mating surface is engaged with the exterior mating surface. The planar slip system restricts movement of the mating connector in the first direction and allows at least partial free movement of the mating connector within a plane that is perpendicular to the first direction.

Corners are defined at the intersection of the walls with the first head and second head at the first end and the second end respectively. A first flange is connected to the first head to receive molten material, and the first head is shaped as a tapered shoulder to smoothly transition from the first flange to the junction of the walls.

The distributor plate includes an outer ring that is affixed to the wall of the tank and that is formed of a first thermoplastic material having a relatively low dimensional predictability, and an inner disk that is supported on the outer ring and that is formed from a second thermoplastic material having a relatively high dimensional predictability when compared to that of the first thermoplastic material, the inner disk being fluid permeable but fluid treatment media impermeable. The outer ring and inner disk may be made from high density polyethylene (HDPE) and unfilled or 30% glass-filled Noryl®, respectively. Also disclosed is a method of assembling a pressure vessel.

The wall is made from a continuous extruded preform with periodically-spaced miters that permit bending such that the wall can assume any shape defined by the various panels. The panels cooperative with the peripheral edges of the tray to define a battery container with a footprint shape generally similar to that of the tray. By being formed from a substantially one-piece preform, all of the corners—save the one formed where wall ends are brought into adjacent cooperation with one another—define a continuous structural seal without the need for sealants, welds or other supplemental closure approaches.

A second protective strip rests on top of the first protective strip and adds even additional protection against damage. Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein relate to a large vacuum chamber body that has been welded together. The chamber body may have a high emissivity coating on at least one surface therein. Due to the large size of the chamber body, the chamber body may be formed by welding several pieces together rather than forging the body from a single piece of metal. The pieces may be welded together at a location spaced from the corner of the body, which may be under the greatest stress during evacuation, to ensure that the weld, which may be the weakest point in the body, does not fail. At least one surface of the chamber body may be coated with a high emissivity coating to aid in heat transfer from incoming, heated substrates. The high emissivity coating may increase substrate throughput by lowering the time that may be needed to reduce the substrate temperature.

In one aspect, the container connectors are nearly identical such that any one connector may mate with any other connector.
