Abstract: A modular container system has an interior dividable into compartments of variable size and includes a base having a bottom and sidewalls extending from the bottom to define an interior volume. At least one opposing pair of the sidewalls have regions arranged opposite each other, each of the regions including protrusions to form pairs of opposing protrusions, each of the regions further including indents positioned in correspondence with the protrusions. At least one barrier extends between the opposing protrusions to divide the interior volume of the base into a plurality of compartments. The barrier has an elongate body and a tab portion extending from each end of the body. Each tab portion is bendable to orient an underside of each tab portion to face a respective protrusion, a longitudinal end of each said tab portion engaging with a corresponding indent, to form a press-fit coupling.

Abstract: A chocolate mold is provided for the creation of a layered chocolate body. The chocolate mold has a tubular shell connected to a primary platform. A food-safe platform is formed within the tubular shell and atop the primary platform, serving as a base for the layered chocolate body. A shaft is connected to the food-safe platform, with the layered chocolate body being formed about the shaft. A lid and handle are attached to the shaft atop the tubular shell. An elongated slit allows the tubular shell to easily be peeled away from the layered chocolate body, while clamping mechanisms seal the tubular shell during molding of the layered chocolate body. A tilt mechanism is used to angle the primary platform and create angled chocolate layers which are visually appealing. The layered chocolate body is formed by sequentially pouring and solidifying layers of chocolate to the tubular shell.

Abstract: A dumpster having a moveable false floor which moves from a bottom of the dumpster toward a top opening when the dumpster is tilted to a substantially inverted orientation during collection of trash. The moveable false floor has freedom to move a predetermined length toward the top opening, where upon reaching the predetermined length a restraining device abruptly stops the floor causing the dumpster to shake dislodging adhered trash. Upon being returned to an upright orientation the moveable false floor moves back to the bottom.

The system may also include a flexible membrane having a top surface and a bottom surface. The membrane may partition the food container into a lower portion and an upper portion. The lower portion may be for holding liquid content. The upper bowl portion may be adapted for holding edible solid content. The membrane may have multiple passageways extending from the membrane bottom surface through the membrane top surface. The multiple passageways may be normally closed and then expand to an open configuration allowing fluid transmission from below the membrane to above the membrane when the membrane is flexed in a first direction normal to a resting plane parallel to the top surface and the bottom surface.

A storage method of the unmanned parcel storage apparatus determines a position and a size of a desired storage space to be allocated. Based on the determination result, a moving unit adds or removes a partition to create the desired storage space, and moves a delivery item to the created storage space for the storage purpose. Accordingly, it is possible to efficiently use a space in a storage unit and thereby store more number of delivery items in the same storage unit. In addition, the moving unit processes the allocation of storage spaces, and delivery, loading and discharging of the delivery items, and therefore the user's convenience of use can be enhanced.

The portable cooler may have a shelf for holding a cold gel pack to help keep the contents cool. The cooler may also have a plurality of dividers (that are optionally reconfigurable) for defining variously sized storage spaces for the contents. The cooler may have an aesthetically pleasing curved outer shell and an adjustable shoulder strap so that the cooler can be carried on a person's shoulder. An ejection mechanism, such as a lever, cam track or ramp is operable to partially eject a selected medicine bottle from the receptacle so that it can be viewed or removed from the receptacle. The medicine bottle is maintained in the partially ejected condition by grasping means, such as flaps, gaskets, or webbing, or by operation of the cam track or ramp, so that the user need only use one hand to operate the carousel assembly and remove the medicine bottle.

Abstract: Self-heating systems for rapidly and effectively heating a comestible substance are disclosed. Self-heating systems generally include a reaction chamber and a heating chamber. The heating chamber contains a substance to be heated. The reaction chamber contains reactants that, when contacted, exothermically react. The containers and reactants can be configured to heat at least six fluid ounces of comestible substance in less than one minute. The solid chemical reactant mixture can comprise magnesium chloride, calcium chloride, and/or calcium oxide. Methods for heating at least six fluid ounces of comestible substance in less than one minute are also provided.

Abstract: A stowing mechanism for a laptop or other device can secure different devices with varying thicknesses and widths within a compartment. The mechanism includes a cover which serves as the actuator for a jack mechanism. A pressure plate pivotally attached to the jack mechanism pushes against the device when the lid is closed, thereby securing the device within the compartment. The device can be released from the secure position by opening the cover. A buffer spring operating in conjunction with the jacking mechanism allows the mechanism to secure devices having different thicknesses and widths, while the pivotal pressure plate allows the plate to conform to devices having different shapes.

Abstract: The present disclosure includes bin separation systems. One system includes a separation piece for dividing the bin into a number of portions and an attachment piece for attaching a portion of the separation piece to a portion of a wall of the bin.

Abstract: The herein described apparatus is a novel expansion tank and method for use with a water system. The housing of the expansion tank contains a spring biased piston. When the water pressure of the system is sufficient to overcome the spring's resistance, the piston will be compressed against the spring allowing water to flow into the expansion chamber. As the water pressure of the system decreases, the spring will bias the piston towards its rest position and force water from the expansion tank. By using a piston in place of the prior art rubber diaphragm a more robust mechanism to contain water resulting from thermal expansion is provided.
