Foldable For Insertion Into A Container Patents (Class 220/579)
  • Patent number: 11298972
Abstract: A device for preventing paint from drying in a cylindrical paint can, wherein the paint can has a wall with an internal diameter DI and an upper portal into the paint can, the upper portal having a diameter smaller than DI. The device consists of a circular planar base disc; and a slanted lip wall extending upwardly from said planar base disc. The lip wall forms a frustum of a cone having a central angle ?. The slanted lip wall has a first, upper diameter DB at an upper lip edge of the lip wall, a second, lower diameter DC at a connection of the slanted lip wall to the planar base disc, and a third diameter DM disposed between the upper diameter and the lower diameter, wherein DM is substantially equal to DI, and wherein DB>DM>DC and DB>DI>DC. When the device is installed over the paint residue in the paint can, the upper lip edge of the lip wall is deformed so that DB is substantially equal to DI.

  • Patent number: 9174776
Abstract: A plug device is disclosed for snugly sealing material within a container. The plug device has a flexible, foldable, deformable plug body sized to be positioned within the container. The plug device also has a plug handle section with handles for facilitating insertion and removal of the plug body and for deforming the plug body out of an unfolded state. A first handle is attached to the plug body at both its beginning and end and along a radial axis of the plug body. A second handle, offset from the first handle, is also attached to the plug body at both its beginning and end and along the radial axis. The handles may be manipulated to deform the plug body out of an unfolded state. The manipulation, which may be twisting, squeezing, or using a tool, facilitates insertion of the plug body into the container and removal from the container.

  • Patent number: 7784631
Abstract: The invention provides improved collapsible storage container (10) which has a first pair of folding side gates (11) and a second pair of folding end gates (12), with each gate (11, 12) being pivotally mounted with respect to a pallet base. Each gate (11) has detachably mounted along opposite vertical margins thereof approximately c-shaped posts (22) each of which has a locking flange (23). Each gate (12) has angle members (35) attached to and extending along opposite vertical frame members (30, 31) and forming therewith a flange receiving slot (40) for slidably locating a respective locking flange (23). The gates (11, 12) when in their erect positions interlock with one another along their adjacent vertical margins which enhances the stiffness and rigidity of the container (10).

  • Patent number: 6779921
Abstract: Reclosable bags, plastic film for making the bags, and a method and apparatus for making the bags are disclosed. The bag has a reclosable fastener (26) connected to a single wall of the bag, and the film (55) has a reclosable fastener (26) connected to one side thereof which does not require attachment to any other portion of the film (55) when making a bag. The fastener (26) has a tamper-proof member attached thereto to indicate if the bag has been previously opened. The film (55) can be wound into a roll (54) suitable for use on conventional bag making machines including form, fill, and seal machines or a chain of coilable reclosable bags can be produced therefrom since the fasteners (26) are connected to the web preferably transversely to the bags longitudinal formation axis.

  • Patent number: 5411156
Abstract: A content immobilizer includes an immobilizing medium, such as cotton, and a plastic integrally formed pull member, operatively coupled through the immobilizing medium, wherein the pull member has a flexible portion adapted to resiliently extend above an upper rim surface of the mouth of a bottle after removal of the closure. The pull member may also laterally compress and expand to frictionally engage with an interior wall surface of the bottle to secure the pull member in a predetermined position. A method for forming the content immobilizer includes inserting the pull member through the immobilizing medium, inserting the content immobilizer into the bottle such that at least a portion of the pull member extends out through the mouth of the bottle, and applying a closure, such as a tamper evident seal, a cap and/or both, over the mouth such that the portion of the pull member resiliently couples to a bottom surface of the closure.
