Abstract: A method to forecast financial performance of companies is provided. The method comprises retrieving from a database news articles related to a number of companies published within a predefined time period. The news articles are classified as either ESG articles or non-ESG articles and then vectorized. A subset of relevant non-ESG articles are selected. The ESG and selected non-ESG articles are fed into a sentiment scoring model, which generates sentiment scores for the companies over the predefined time period. The sentiment scores are fed into an ESG forecast model along with historical market data and ESG data related to the companies. The ESG forecast model forecasts the financial performance of the companies in relation to ESG policies.

The storage container includes a housing surrounding a holding space which housing has a guide section and a bottom surface, the guide section defining a guide space and having a vertical guide recess, which does not penetrate the housing, and the bottom surface having a dispensing opening. The storage container includes a separating device having at least one channel for holding at least one drug portion and comprises a retaining element having a retaining section and having a guide element, which is arranged in the guide recess, the vertical guide recess and the guide element interacting in such a way that the retaining element is arranged for height adjustment in the guide recess by means of the guide element and rotational motion of the retaining means is prevented.

Abstract: A method of forecasting raw material demand is provided. The method comprises retrieving news articles related to raw material suppliers as well as raw material industry articles related to specified raw materials. The news articles are classified as either ESG articles or non-ESG articles. The news articles and raw material industry articles are vectorized, and a subset of relevant articles are selected from the non-ESG articles. The ESG articles, relevant non-ESG articles, and raw material industry articles are fed into a sentiment scoring model, which generates sentiment scores for the raw material suppliers as well as sentiment scores for the raw materials. The sentiment scores are fed into an ESG forecast model along with supply chain data related to the raw materials and ESG data related to the raw material suppliers. The ESG forecast model then forecasts demand for the raw material suppliers to supply the raw materials.

In one arrangement a slot is provided in the singulation duct into which the shank falls while the head remains in the singulation duct. In another arrangement there is provided a buffering device and a transfer member for transferring the singulated oriented objects from the buffering device to an operating location. In another arrangement a first path changes the orientation of relative to the second path. The objects can be fed from a singulation duct to a supply duct having an exit mouth lying on a rotation axis of the singulation duct.

A plurality of openings in the bead supply bowl is spaced around a lower portion thereof with the openings in alignment with the radially and outwardly extending passageways each of which has an outer exit end. Abstract: A laser capsule marking system and method may comprise at least two indexing wheels, a feeding mechanism, a laser marker, a first inspection system, a rejection subsystem, a reject verification sensor, and a collection device. The wheels are coaxial and have respective circumferential peripheries with multiple open pockets distributed thereabout. Each pocket is configured to releasably receive a pharmaceutical capsule doped with pigment particles reactive to laser light. The indexing wheels are configured to be incrementally rotated in alternating indexing fashion for transporting discrete arrays of respective pockets through a loading zone, an inspection zone, a marking zone, a reject zone, and an unloading zone. An actuatable reject block may be provided to simultaneously blow a rejected capsule from its pocket, and draw it in for transport to a rejection bin. Each circumferential periphery may be comprised of multiple arcuate shoes removably and replaceably secured to their respective indexing wheel.

Abstract: The present invention is concerned with a basket processing apparatus that includes a basket storage portion in a form of a horizontal load rail (2). A plurality of slide storage baskets (4) can be located in series on the rail (2). Each basket is “side loading” and the side loading aperture of each basket can be selectively covered by a slide retaining bar (6). When the baskets (4) are placed on the load rail (2) (e.g. by hooking or clipping the baskets onto the rail), the basket can be moved along the horizontal rail by a basket moving means. The arrangement of the rail and the basket moving means is such that the baskets can be pushed together and move as a “train”. Baskets moved to the pick-up end (12) of the rail can then be removed from the rail and processed. A vertical lift mechanism can be used to remove the basket and transport it to a processing device, for example a coverslipper.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for counting a plurality of objects and parsing the objects into groups of varying quantities. In various embodiments, the system includes a singulating and counting module operable to singulate and count a plurality of objects from a large volume of the objects. Additionally, the system includes a diverter and accumulator module operable to receive the singulated objects, parse the objects into groups of varying quantities, and direct each group into a selected one of a plurality of discharge funnels. Furthermore, the system includes an object collection module operable to sequentially position each one of a plurality of object collection receptacles adjacent the discharge funnels such that each group of objects is deposited into a respective corresponding one of the object collection receptacles.

Abstract: A dispenser for dispensing interfolded disposable sheets is disclosed. The dispenser includes a removable panel that is attached to the first sheet in the stack contained in the container. When the removable panel is pulled off the container, the first sheet in the stack is partially or completely withdrawn from the container. The removable panel may be adhered to the first sheet using an adhesive material. The adhesive material may be contained in a recess formed in the removable panel. The recess is designed to protect the adhesive material during manufacture of the product and/or to prevent the adhesive material to adhering to other portions of the product. In one embodiment, after the stack of sheets are loaded into the dispenser, the recess is inverted forming a protrusion that contacts the first sheet in the stack and forms a bond between the removable panel and the first sheet.

Abstract: Automatic feeding machines are commonly used for filling blister packs with items of product such as pharmaceutical dosage forms. These machines are usually designed for the handling of a specific shape and sized product item. Handling of different shaped items requires expensive re-tooling of all the product item contact components. The invention allows a single feeding machine to be quickly configured for use to handling a wide variety of item sizes/shapes. A machine (21) has a tray (36) defining a series of tapered channels (40) and a container (22) slideably mounted above the tray. A wall of the container and the channels together define apertures into each channel through which items of product pass out of the container. Sliding movement of the container across the planar tray surface (38), along and over the channels, allows the size of the apertures to be adjusted depending upon the size of the item of product to be handled, using the same components.

The slot cover defines an opening for providing a path through which a fastener pickup device can pass through and engage with a fastener located on the level parts. Each compartment according to this embodiment contains a sloped slide.

The system can be designed to provide the elemental iodine in more than one potency concentration through the use of a metering valve and different travel routes for the elemental iodine out of the second housing.

The feeder has a collator section having a floor with slots to collate random screws into rows and an enclosure about the floor for retaining random screws on the floor. The screws are collated by tilting the floor in the slotted direction to raise and lower the upstream end relative to the downstream end and are fed downstream along the slots into slots in a dispensing section. The collator section enclosure has a gate closure at the upstream end of the floor and the slots on the floor extend completely to the upstream end so that, with the gate open and the collator section oscillated to tilt the slots downward toward the upstream end, the screws in the slots will slide to the upstream end and out of the enclosure.

Abstract: The invention provides methods and apparatus for dispensing items from a dispensing unit. According to the invention, the dispensing unit comprises a plurality of locations in which the items are held, a processor in which records corresponding to the items on the unit are stored, and a plurality of item switches corresponding to the locations in which the items are held. The item switches are connected to the processor so that a user of the dispensing unit can input records of items removed from the unit into the processor. The apparatus described is particularly suited for dispensing medical supplies although the apparatus will be usable for other types of items as well. Preferred embodiments will include a plurality of visual indicators, typically in the form of light emitting diodes, corresponding to the locations in which the items are held.

Articles of different shape are sequentially dispensing from separate dispensers onto a common pathway and fed to the workstation along that pathway. Articles of each shape are dispensed onto the pathway from a group of articles all having that shape in common and the articles dispensed from all the groups are fed sequentially along the common pathway in a downstream direction to the workstation. The dispensers are arranged in tandem in the pathway direction to the workstation and each is positioned above the pathway and oriented to dispense elongated articles with their longitudinal directions transverse to the pathway direction.

The hopper comprises a rotatable drum which tumbles the fasteners therein into position so that the shanks thereof protrude outwardly between spaced-apart bars. The fasteners are discharged from a discharge opening formed in the hopper and are delivered to a magazine which is in communication with an entrapment apparatus which feeds the fasteners to a feed tube under pressure. The air pressure in the feed tube delivers the individual fasteners to the inserter with the fastener being positioned between pivotally movable head fingers which open to receive the fastener to position the same for subsequent insertion and which pivot to enable the fastener to be driven outwardly therefrom by a piston rod so that the fastener is driven into and through the material being secured.

The dedicated feeder structure is held within a housing which incorporates a plurality of hanger plates for easy manual exchange and replacement of the feeder component subsystems called "change parts". These components include a reciprocating bin carried on a platform for simultaneously delivering a plurality of product in a desired matrix format. A plurality of entrance chutes, assembled into the matrix formation simultaneously feeds the product downward from the bin. A horizontally operated shuttle gate having a plurality of product orifices operates to simultaneously open and close each chute and to transfer the respective matrix of product to a release guide structure which may be implemented as a template or a plurality of release chutes. The release guide structure feeds the matrix of formed blister webbing.

Abstract: A dispensing unit for separating balls from a supply stream, particularly for use on golf driving ranges, comprises a supply tube (10) and a delivery tube which has a header tube (12) with a mouth portion (16) leading from the supply tube (10), and the supply tube (10) is provided with deflector ramp (14) inclined towards the mouth (16) of the header tube (12) but stopping short thereof so as not to prevent the onward passage of balls through the supply tube, whereby balls passing along the supply tube (10) are deflected into the mouth (16) to fill the header tube (12) and when the header tube (12) is full continue to pass through the supply tube (10). A typical installation includes a trunk supply tube leading to several of the dispensing units in series. When the header at the first unit in the series is full further balls pass on to the next unit until its header is full and so on until all headers in the system are full.

Abstract: An apparatus for vending spherical objects such as golf balls including a housing from which the balls are loaded onto the upper end of an inclined row of parallel tracks thereby forming a column of balls in each track. A rotatable horizontal shaft is located adjacent to the lower end of the tracks. Tines are secured to the shaft such that, as the shaft rotates, the lowermost ball in each column is scooped up successively by the tines and deposited in a chute leading to a bucket. The tines are located in staggered positions on the shaft so that the number of balls discharged into the bucket depends on the length of time that the shaft rotates. A buyer may select his/her desired number of balls by inserting coins into slots that activate one of a number of timers having various time periods.

Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for storing slide fastener sliders preparatory to application thereof onto a stringer chain, the apparatus comprising a plurality of slider stockers removably mounted on a stocker holder and a slider supply including a chute, the slider stockers being movable successively into operative position registering with the chute to receive therefrom a supply of sliders.

Abstract: An apparatus of this invention has a parts feeder unit, and this parts feeder unit has a plurality of parts feed countries. Guide pipe paths are respectively connected to these parts feed ports. Aligning units are arranged midway along these guide pipe paths, respectively. All small articles are aligned by these aligning units in the same direction. Outlet heads are arranged at lower end portions of the guide pipe paths, respectively. An aligning plate and a matrix plate are arranged below these outlet heads. The small articles fed from the outlet head are stored in the matrix plate in a matrix form within the matrix plate in an aligned state. These small articles are stored in the matrix plate by a drop pleich. These small articles are held in this matrix plate by the drop plate. Upon movement of the drop plate in the horizontal direction, these small articles drop and are respectively stored in storage holes of a tray.

Abstract: A divider for a guide track for ball-shaped objects such as golf balls, is provided with a feed channel and two discharge channels, the feed channel being placed asymmetrically relative to the two discharge channels, in such a way that each arriving ball-shaped object emerging from the feed channel is movable in the direction of one and the same discharge channel and can be accommodated therein until the discharge channel is filled with foregoing objects, following which any subsequently arriving object can be accommodated in the other discharge channel due to the fact that, through colliding with the objects present in the filled discharge channel, the object is then movable in the direction of the other discharge channel.

Abstract: A system for automatically distributing and supplying parts includes a parts distributing device for delivering an array of parts, and a parts supplying device for feeding the parts to a parts installing device at spaced intervals corresponding to parts installing positions. The parts supplying device has a first positioning member for receiving the delivered array of parts, a second positioning member connected to the first positioning member through flexible tubular members for spacing the parts at the spaced intervals, and a parts feed mechanism movable selectively into confronting relation to the second positioning member and the parts installing device for receiving the parts from the second positioning member and feeding the parts to the parts installing device.

Abstract: A device for precisely releasing individual electrical components, especially electronic integrated circuits (IC's) to sort, position and/or store the components on a slanted work table, without relative friction between connector pins, soldering terminals and stop strips, and to avoid exerting lateral pressure causing the pins or the like to become deformed, a positioning section is designed as a supporting cap with a leading edge, behind which a component to be released is loaded from the rear. The supporting cap tilts relative to a supporting surface by means of a fitting that permits lateral movement of the component, and upon tilting of the cap releases of the component where desired.
