Abstract: An apparatus, method, and system that uses a lever action hand grip that can include an adjustable receiver for a variety of diameters, form factors, and other variables for different containers of liquids or aerosols that are desired to be dispensed. A linkage connects the lever action hand-grip to a working end. The working end moves in arcuate fashion in response to pivoting of the lever. The proportional working end motion path can serve to both push down an aerosol spray head to dispense, or laterally push or pump other types of dispensing heads. Optionally, the linkage can have at least one, and sometimes two or three, different adjustments for such things as size and location of a dispensing head for a variety of dispensing containers and types, range of motion, type of interface at the working end, and specifically what type of working end relative to a dispensing head of a container or bottle.

Abstract: User-selectable volumes of a viscous condiment such as ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise are consistently dispensed from a pressurized vessel. The vessel is pressurized using a small air pump, a cylinder of compressed gas or an external gas source. Pressure in the vessel is kept constant by sensing the pressure using a MEMS pressure transducer. Condiment flows from the pressurized vessel into a flexible tube, which passes through an electrically-actuated pinch valve. For a given pressure in the vessel, the amount of condiment to be dispensed is determined by the time that the pinch valve is open. A processor monitors the pressure, actuation of a user interface and controls operation of the air pump.

Abstract: A ratchet bar push structure of grease gun includes a gun body and a grease storage section. A ratchet bar is slidably disposed in the gun body and reciprocally movable as a piston to dispense grease supplied by the grease storage section out of the gun body. A pad section is movably disposed between the ratchet bar and a push member for pushing the ratchet bar as a force transmission unit. A user can change the position of the pad section to control whether an action force of the push member is transmitted to the ratchet bar. When the pad section is positioned in a padded position, the external force is applied to the ratchet bar via the pad section to push the ratchet bar. When positioned in a released position, the force transmission path is interrupted, whereby the ratchet bar will not be pushed by the push member.

Abstract: A fluent material dispensing system comprising: a bottle, a plunger engaged inside the bottle, and a dispensing mechanism having a lever for operation of the plunger for fluid expulsion. The plunger may frictionally engage the bottle to a degree sufficient for holding the plunger in place against a force applied due to return motion of the lever. The dispensing mechanism may comprise a cap for attachment to an end of the bottle opposite a fluid outlet and a handle attached to the cap, the lever pivotally coupled to the cap, the lever and the handle aligned with the bottle. The dispensing mechanism may comprise a portioning mechanism configured to limit distance travelled by the lever from the rest position to the engaged position to a defined amount, thereby limiting expulsion of the fluid to a corresponding defined portion.

Abstract: Self-locking handheld adhesive dispensers and methods for dispensing an adhesive using a handheld dispenser. The self-locking handheld dispenser includes a valve, a trigger connected to the valve, and a spring-biased trigger lock mechanism used to lock and unlock the trigger. A locking member of the trigger lock mechanism normally has a blocking relationship with the trigger that prevents an incidental force applied to the trigger from opening the valve. The trigger is unlocked by manually moving a locking member of the trigger lock mechanism out of the blocking relationship with the trigger. The trigger is then freed to respond to an applied manual force and open the valve to dispense the adhesive. When the trigger is released, the valve closes and the spring biasing of the trigger lock mechanism automatically returns the locking member to the blocking relationship with the trigger so that the locked state is restored.

Abstract: A suction and dispensing tool (1) comprises: a cylinder (10) storing the fluid; a nozzle (20); a piston moving forward and backward in the cylinder (10); a piston rod (40) for driving the piston; and two ratchet type driving mechanisms (60) for driving the piston rod (40) forward and backward. The driving mechanism (60) comprises: a frame (50) having a handle (52), mounted to the cylinder (10), and two triggers (80) rotatably attached to the frame (50) at the front and rear sides of the handle (52). By rotating each of the triggers (80) to the handle (52), the piston rod (40) can be moved forward or backward. The rotating operation of the trigger (80) requires power smaller than an operation for directly pushing and drawing the piston rod by hand. Accordingly, it becomes possible to refill and dispense a high viscosity oil easily.

Gravity causes viscous liquid in a container to fall through openings in a check valve. Pressure on the check valve by a user causes the valve to close. Additional pressure from the user drives the pump assembly downwardly to dispense captured liquid. The dispensed volume is controllable by controlling the displacement of an actuating lever Dispensing covers over the discharge holes prevent liquids from leaking out of the container.

Abstract: Fixed amounts of granular and granulated seasonings are dispensed from a rotatable disc that lies flat or horizontal and which includes a through-hole or void. The void is gravity-filled with granulated seasonings from a hole in the bottom of a hopper. A screen below the disc is formed to have open, through-holes and a solid land. The void in the disc fills with granules when the void is beneath a hole in the hopper but over a solid land thus preventing granules to spill through the disc. Rotation of the disc moves the void away from the land, allowing granules in the void to fall through holes in the screen. A gasket provides a seal between the disc and the hopper. The disc is rotated back and forth around its axis by vertical movement of an actuator about the horizontal hinge.
