Means To Guide Moving Work Patents (Class 227/150)
  • Patent number: 7721817
Abstract: A fastener driving device includes a housing containing an engine for driving a fastener through a flooring board and into a sub-floor, a nosepiece through which fasteners are driven, a magazine for supplying a plurality of fasteners for the engine to drive, and a shoe mounted for movement relative to the nosepiece. The shoe locates the engine relative to the flooring board so that the fastener is driven into the flooring board at an angle. The shoe includes a bottom workpiece engaging surface for engaging a top surface of the flooring board, and the nosepiece includes a forward workpiece engaging surface for engaging a front surface of the flooring board. The forward surface extends a distance below the bottom surface. One of the bottom surface and the forward surface is movable with respect to the other to adjust the distance that the forward surface extends below the bottom surface.

  • Patent number: 6398203
Abstract: A sheet post-handling device made compact by incorporating a stapling unit within a first side frame and a sheet transferring system in a second side frame. A simple mechanism formed of only one driving motor and a transmission means with sheet transmission rollers and a timing gear wheel operated with exquisite timing enables the sheet transferring system to be rationally assembled within the second side frame. With the sheet transferring system, a sheet fed from an image forming apparatus such as a copying machine is transferred in the forward direction, and then, sent back onto a processing tray in the reverse direction. A plurality of sheets sent onto and stacked on the processing tray are stapled, and thereafter, sent out in the forward direction. The stapling unit is movably mounted on the first side frame to facilitate fitting and removal of the staple cartridge into and from the stapling unit and maintenance of the device.

  • Patent number: 5918790
Abstract: A twin line-guide adapter easily affixed to the lower narrow front face of popular hand-held stapling guns. The two independent spring-loaded line-guides stabilize flexible, loose, linear entities such as wires, cables, cords or braids. This restraint is accomplished automatically by either line-guide extending or retracting, compensating for the tipping or slipping of the stapling gun, preventing damage to the linear entity from either leg of the driven staple. Each or both line-guides can be quickly thumbed to hold-up detent position or equally fast, shifted down for line-guide function. Both up on detent provides for immediate flat-entity stapling with neither wear on, nor interference by, the adapter.
