  • Patent number: 11472594
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to a new and improved paper-based container. More specifically, the invention relates to a paper-based container that is comprised of a relatively low-density polyethylene coating on one or both surfaces of the container and at least two skive flaps, wherein each of said skive flaps is created during the manufacturing process. The skive flap further comprises at least one leading edge of the container body, and prevents unwanted moisture from entering the container and the contents of the container from saturating the paper-based material. One skive flap is preferably folded in a manner in which a portion of the outside surface of the container is adhered to the inside surface, and a second skive flap is adhered to the outside surface.

  • Patent number: 10815029
Abstract: A system is provided comprising a box with four bottom flaps, at least four durable pegs projecting from exterior surfaces of two opposing bottom flaps, the pegs positioned to function as a built-in pallet structure for the box, adhesive strips on interior surfaces of the two opposing bottom flaps to promote closure of the bottom flaps, four top flaps, interior surfaces of two opposing top flaps containing protected adhesive strips to promote closure of the top flaps, and wax paper covering the adhesive strips prior to use of the strips. The pegs are constructed from the same material as the box. Material comprising the pegs is denser than material comprising the box. The denser concentration of the peg material enables the pegs to sustain weight of the box and contained items. The pegs are positioned on the opposing bottom flaps.

Abstract: A cardboard box with four side panels, four bottom flaps and four top flaps. The box is made from a blank having a first height measured between the outermost edges of the top and bottom flaps. The flaps are rotated into abutting contact with the exterior surface of the panels thereby reducing the overall height of the box to the height of the panel. Adjacent pairs of top and bottom flaps are provided with living hinges that enable them to remain in this position when the box is collapsed. The collapsed box is shipped through the mail in this diminished size and then erected into a box of the same height as the panels.

Abstract: This invention relates to a wrap-around carrier which is held together by a single locking system, which is a secondary locking system in which the secondary male locks are formed as an extension of an outer secondary locking flap with an inner bottom flap having a secondary female opening for each secondary male lock. Assistance in holding the secondary male locks in the vertical locked position between two containers in the carrier is provided by a female flap formed in the female opening in the inner bottom flap. Further assistance is provided in holding the secondary male locks in the vertical lock position between two containers by the containers having flexible side walls and carrying a liquid whose weight pushes out against the walls of the container and creates tension in the wrap-around carrier thereby holding the secondary male locks in the vertical locked position.
