Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of machines for cleaning, particularly vacuum cleaning devices. There is disclosed a filter cartridge for a vacuum cleaner comprising first and second opposite end walls, a side wall or walls which extend between the end walls so as to define an enclosure which surrounds a filter interior, wherein one or more of the walls comprises filter membrane material, the cartridge having an opening provided through the first end wall for receiving air-entrained detritus into the interior, the opening being defined by a rigid support structure which spans and supports the first end wall of the cartridge. The cartridge typically includes a non-return valve which closes when suction is removed so as to help prevent collected detritus escaping from the filter cartridge interior. The valve may comprise a conical valve with flexible facets, or a cantilever flap.

Abstract: A package includes a stack of checkbook blanks, a box in a flat, shipping state placed on the stack; and a wrapper surrounding the stack checkbook blanks, and the box in the flat, shipping state. The wrapper positioned around the stack, and the box can be a film or a paper envelope. The box can be formed from a one piece box blank or can be a two piece box having a top portion and a bottom portion.

Abstract: A reusable flexible sheet for wrapping an object is presented. The flexible sheet includes a center portion having a first side, a second side, a third side, and a fourth side, the first side being parallel to the third side and the second side being parallel to the fourth side. Flaps are connected to the first side and the third side, and bow portions are connected to the second side and the fourth side. The bow portions tie together to form a decorative bow.

Abstract: A composite integrated package for withstanding the loads encountered in vigorous transportation comprising a one-sheet blank, which when folded, forms double-walled spacers in the center of the package, calls and base for the package. Substantially identical articles are inserted in compartments formed between the double-walled spacers and the vertical walls, and the base supporting the articles in the compartments. At least one tensioned inelastic binding member contacts and applies a compressive force in a horizontal plane to the side walls and the double-wall center spacers of the package and further compressing the articles to form a stable, unitary, and load-bearing structural unit.

Abstract: An improved label assembly for a customizable gift box has a face sheet including a carrier portion, a label, and a tearable line of separation between the carrier portion and the label, and a back sheet removably joined to the face sheet. At least one removable appendage present in the carrier portion includes a first relatively narrow edge, a second relatively wider edge, and S-shaped side edges joining the first and second edges. The removal appendage can be applied to the sidewalls of a box blank to maintain the edges of the sidewalls on an adjacent position during installation of the label. The back sheet can also be provided with one or more foldable index tabs to help position the box relative to the label assembly during installation of the label.

Abstract: A customizable gift box includes a box blank and a label assembly. The label assembly preferably includes a face sheet having a printable surface including a label sized to cover the box blank and a back sheet having a removable portion at least partially overlaying the label, the removable portion removable to expose an adhesive surface of the label within the face sheet. In addition, at least one index line is positioned on the label assembly for aligning the box blank relative to the label.

Abstract: A gift wrap package and packaging assembly is configured to receive and enclose a gift in a decorative enclosure and which has the appearance of a conventionally wrapped box gift package. The gift package is made of a folded sheet material that is decorated on one side, and which has sufficient material strength to serve as both a box and a decorative package which has a comparable appearance to a box wrapped with decorative paper. The gift package is preformed and packaged in a folded box configuration with a protective retail display header for hanging display. One end of the gift package is configured to be opened to receive gift contents and additional packaging such as tissue, and then securely closed to complete the gift package.

Abstract: The invention discloses a package box and a method for packaging thereof. The package box includes a box-shaped body and a sheet. The box-shaped body has a containing space for placing an article and a first fastening portion. The sheet is used to wrap the box-shaped body and has a first lateral part and a second lateral part. The first lateral part has a first fastening unit, and the second lateral part has a second fastening unit. When the sheet wraps the box-shaped body, the first fastening unit of the sheet and the first fastening portion of the box-shaped body are fastened with each other, and the first fastening unit of the sheet and the second fastening unit of the sheet are fastened with each other.

Abstract: A thermally insulative device and an associated method of using the device for use in temporarily enshrouding a box are disclosed. The device includes the interconnected elements of a one-piece composite jacket, a plurality of primary coupling strips, a plurality of complementary coupling strips, a plurality of straps, and a buckle. The jacket includes a plurality of panels integrally formed together with a plurality of flaps. The method includes the steps of buckling, carrying, contacting, disconnecting, folding, getting, laying, lifting, lowering, obtaining, placing, tying, unbuckling, unwrapping, and wrapping.

The lower end of the base of the article may be closed and may also contain a gusset.

Abstract: A unique packaging method is disclosed. The method advertises products related to a product shipped in a box and comprises obtaining a box, placing a product in the box, and identifying a particular product category associated with the product being shipped in the box. This may be followed by obtaining an elongated flexible planar member having a width and a length substantially greater than the width, the planar member having an upper surface and a lower surface. The flexible planar member is provided with a layer of adhesive material deposited on and covering a substantial portion of the lower surface to form a packaging tape. The tape is imprinted with indicia comprising visually perceivable information to provide a purchaser with information relating to various products within the particular product category by disposing the information on the upper surface of the tape. The box is sealed with the tape.

A plurality of covering members for removably attaches to and covers the adhesive portions. Each of the covering members generally covers one of the adhesive portions.

The base of the article has a plurality of overlapping folds of which at least a portion are permanently connected so that the article may be substantially flattened and then unflattened to assume the original shape of the article.

The sheet has a periphery in a rectangular configuration with four edges and four corners sized to conform to any of a plurality of boxes having a variety of shapes and sizes. Each sheet also has a back surface without any printing thereon and a front surface with or without decorative printing thereon. A pressure sensitive adhesive providing for removal and repositioning of the sheet is located on the back surface along the four side edges but terminates in proximity to the four corners. The adhesive forms an essentially rectangular adhesive frame having a periphery essentially co-extensive with the periphery of the sheet and a hollow interior and corners to facilitate handling. The adhesive may adhere to the front surface when wrapping a box or other item.

Abstract: A method of preparing a carton with a prefolded interior paper lining includes feeding carton blanks having a surface, the surface having leading and trailing edges and right and left side edges, feeding a paper web, folding the paper web to have a base portion having an edge and at least a first flap joining the base portion at a first crease, cutting a section off the paper web, and inserting the paper section with the carton blank surface, such that the edge and crease of the base portion of the paper are spaced a predetermined distance inward from each respective carton blank side edge.

Abstract: A preformed gift wrap for quickly and easily wrapping a gift box. The preformed gift wrap includes a generally rectangular sheet having a pair of spaced apart lateral fold lines extending between the sides of the sheet which divide the sheet into three generally rectangular panels. Extending from each side of the middle second panel is a generally trapezoidal middle flap. Each of the middle flaps is foldable along a line extending along the associated side of the sheet. Extending from each side of the outer first and third panels is a side flap. Each of the side flaps is foldable along a line extending along the associated side of the sheet. Each of the sides of the sheet also has two corner flaps extending therefrom such that a first pair of corner flaps are positioned adjacent the first panel and a second pair of corner flaps are positioned adjacent the third panel.
