Miscellaneous Patents (Class 235/61A)
  • Patent number: 5748440
Abstract: The mountable calculator comprises a calculator body having a rectangular front wall and a substantially flat back wall connected by opposing lateral sides and opposing longitudinal sides. The front wall is positioned over and spaced apart from the back wall to provide a space therebetween. Calculator has a plurality of numeric keys and a plurality of function keys defined on the front wall. To improve use for the visually challenged, the numeric and function keys are sized greater then the fingertip size of an average user. Electronics are disposed within the calculator body and are operatively connected to the numeric and function keys. A display screen for displaying numbers relating to the operation of the calculator is also operatively connected to the electronics. Finally, the calculator can be mounted using first and second lateral wings which integrally formed or separate from the calculator body.

  • Patent number: 4668314
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a small electronic device includes intermittently feeding predetermined length of a base film, which forms a film strip; arranging electronic elements, e.g., a film-like liquid crystal display cell, a film-like solar cell and a printed circuit board, on a predetermined region of the film strip; arranging a frame on the film strip, so that the frame surrounds the electronic elements; depositing an adhesive onto the film strip; placing a panel on the film strip; moving press means on the panel from one end of the panel to the other end thereof, thereby pressing the panel and bonding the same to the film strip; and cutting the film, thereby forming a semifinished product. This method further includes detecting the position of the periphery of the semifinished product and trimming unfinished portions with a laser beam, thereby forming a finished product of a prescribed shape and size.

  • Patent number: 4551620
Abstract: A Biorythms analog computer-calendar is provided to display without computations the level of the physical, the emotional, and the intellectual biorythms of a human body. The level of the three biorythms appears on display in analog and digital forms for any dialed calendar date, if the computer-calendar is set initially with the individual's birth date. The analog elements used to register the three biorythm levels are drums attached to gears with a number of teeth equal or proportional to 23, 28 and 33, or to the period of the three biorythms respectively. A calendar arrangement is introduced to create a correlation between the displayed biorythm levels and the calendar date associated with them.

  • Patent number: 4064388
Abstract: A decoder clutching system for use in a minicomputer such as the Burroughs Series-L or TC-Series minicomputer is employed to reduce noise and extend the life of the decoder while minimizing power consumption. An electromagnetic master clutch is secured to a main motor which enables a decoder to be intermittently driven in response to decoder alert or command signals representing anticipated binary to decimal conversion by the decoder. The motor operates continuously so as to drive the decoder only when the electromagnetic master clutch is energized and to release the drive to the decoder when the master clutch is de-energized.
