Abstract: An isothermal drop speed cooling method and an apparatus for same. A glass ribbon carried with glass passes through the forced convection area of the glass annealing lehr, and the glass ribbon is moving while the glass is being air-cooled in the forced convection area. The glass is air-cooled by different air volume according to the temperature of the glass, so that the glass is allowed to be cooled at isothermal drop speed during the moving process of the glass. According to the cooling method and apparatus, the specification size of the opening section of multi-row air nozzles longitudinally arranged is increased along the moving direction of the glass ribbon, so that the cooling air volume from the front to the rear can be gradually increased, thereby allowing the temperature drop speed of a glass plate to be uniform from the front to the rear.

Abstract: An improved irrigation sprinkler nozzle is provided for enhanced short range or close-in distribution of water for irrigating vegetation and the like positioned relatively close to the sprinkler. The improved sprinkler nozzle includes a nozzle passage for outward projection of a water stream, at least a portion of which is defined by a generally vertically oriented, fan-shaped spray pattern. A lower margin of the nozzle passage defining this fan-shaped pattern is lined with a plurality of forwardly extending ramps each formed with a selected width and a different declination angle. Abstract: Disclosed herein is a nozzle tip that atomizes a liquid entering a vessel or reaction zone that contains circulating fluidized particulates where the nozzle tip comprises a first elongated slot that intersects with a second elongated slot to define a single orifice. The first elongated slot may have members protruding into it and the slots may intersect substantially orthogonally and bisect each other. The length of the minor axis of the first slot ranges form about 5% to about 50% of the length of the major axis of the first slot and the length of the minor axis of the second slot ranges form about 1% to about 10 % or the major axis of the second slot. This nozzle tip affords erosion reduction caused by the circulating fluidized particulates and therefore provides longer operational lifetimes for the nozzle tip.
