In some embodiments, the opposed first and second heads can be locked releasably in multiple positions with respect to each another. In other embodiments, a stud or cufflink includes a removable decorative insert. In certain embodiments, a cufflink includes a retention structure configured to temporarily retain part of the cufflink on a shirt cuff. Some embodiments provide a cufflink having an actuator protected against inadvertent actuation.

    Abstract: A lock mechanism is disclosed for a sheet store adapted for the dispensing or accepting of sheets. The sheet store comprises a container having a lid operable for access to the interior of the container and a shutter operable for the passage of sheets therethrough. The lock mechanism comprises: a locking plate movable relative to the container, the locking plate being operable to control a lid lock element and a shutter lock element; and an actuator arranged to control movement of the locking plate. The locking plate is movable between three positions, including: a closed position, in which the shutter lock element prevents opening of the shutter; a primed position, in which the shutter can be opened; and an open position which controls the lid lock element to permit opening of the lid.

    Abstract: A kit having components capable of being assembled and permanently attached to an object or animal appendage for identification purposes. The kit comprises a collar, an identification plate having a needle extending therethrough and outward therefrom, and a locking device adapted to permanently receive the needle therein. The locking device comprises a first locking plate and a second locking plate connected to the first locking plate in axial alignment therewith. The first locking plate has a pocket within which to receive a retention plate and the base of a needle guard. The needle guard extends outward through a bore in the plate pocket to permit maximum visibility of the needle guard and covers the point of the needle. A method of assembling and attaching the kit is also disclosed.

    Abstract: The cuff linking device is an implement attached to the cuff of garments such as: shirts, blouses, jackets and similar apparel, giving the garment a desirable distinctive look and provide the wearer with comfort and freedom of wrist movement. The cuff linking device is designed to fit on: conventional button style cuffs, covering the button, on button style cuffs when the button has become detached, and on french style cuffs. The cuff linking device is composed of two ornamental buttons connected by a length of chain which is securely fastened to one of the buttons at one end and having a releasable fastener at the other end. The other button is recessed to allow it to cover a conventional sewn-on button and has a stud protruding from it to which the releasable fastener is attached.
