Abstract: A connection device is provided for removably connecting an article to a tie-down cleat having a pair of opposed horns each with each horn having a free end. The articles can be ropes, straps, bungee cords, netting, covers, wraps, accessories, and the like. The connection device includes a body having a pair of horn openings each configured for receiving one of the opposed horns therein. The horn openings are coaxial and spaced apart a distance less than a distance between the free ends of the horns. At least a portion of the body is formed of an elastic material so that the body can be resiliently stretched for selectively inserting the opposed horns into the horn openings to secure the connection device to the tie-down cleat and resiliently stretched for selectively removing the opposed horns out of the horn openings to remove the connection device from the tie-down cleat.

Abstract: An apparatus comprises an elongate band and a magnet assembly. The elongate band is formed of an elastomer and defines a back surface, a front surface, a loop at a first end, a hook at a second end, and an enclosure. The magnet assembly is at least partially enclosed within the enclosure. The apparatus provides a convenient means by which to removably attach a bottle to a vertical surface. The bottle may thereby be stored out-of-the-way while not in use, but easily accessed.

Abstract: A clevis structure includes a main body, a bridge member and a load member. The bridge member has a base section and at least one arm section pivotally connected with the main body, whereby the bridge member and the main body can freely swing relative to each other. The base section is formed with a guide slot extending to the arm section. The arm section is further formed with a through hole in a position where the arm section is pivotally connected with the main body. The through hole has a diameter larger than a width of the guide slot. The load member has two ends, one of which is enlarged to form a pivotal hanging head section and the other of which is formed as a connection ring. A neck section is formed between the pivotal hanging head section and the connection ring.

Abstract: A device for securing a length of rope includes a housing with at least one pair of apertures therein defining a passage through the housing for receiving a line of rope. The device includes a pin extending at least partially through the interior of the housing, and a torsion spring disposed within the housing. The device further includes at least one cam member with a grooved edge portion, pivotally mounted on the pin and biased by the torsion spring so as to pivot the cam member's grooved edge portion in a direction towards an interior wall of the housing for engaging a line of rope received within the passage between the cam member's grooved edge portion and the interior wall. The at least one cam member has a lever depending from the cam member, which enables pivotal movement of the cam.

Abstract: A multipurpose attachable buckle for use securing a blanket to a stroller having an attachment member. The blanket includes a first edge, a second edge, and a corner, wherein the first edge is coupled to the second edge at the corner. The buckle has a body portion having a threading means and a fastening means. The body portion is a substantially hollow circular ring, bisected by an elongated member to define two semicircular hollow openings. The fastening means couples the buckle to the attachment member of the stroller. The corner of the blanket is threaded through the threading means while the fastening means is secured to the stroller.

Abstract: An anti-theft assembly for deterring theft of a ring is provided. The anti-theft assembly includes a base that can be used to support an electronic article surveillance marker; a product engagement member including a support member that supports the ring during use and a locking member that secures the support member to the base; and an attachment member for securing the ring to the support member. In one embodiment, the support member and the locking member are a single, unitary member. In another embodiment, the support member and the locking member are separate members. Once assembled, upon applying a twisting force to the ring the engagement member rotates within the opening so that the attachment member is not broken.

Abstract: In one embodiment, the application discloses a connecting assembly for connecting a wearable band comprising at least one connector body, at least one linker, at least one slot, wherein the slot is configured on the connector body or configured on the linker; wherein the linker is configured to accept the protrusion to reversibly connect the linker to the connector body; and wherein the linker and the connector body comprise of material selected from silicone or a silicone composite. The connecting assembly may be used to carry or store personal and safety or security items.

Abstract: A clip assembly is provided for securing a crib bumper to a crib. The clip assembly may include a clip adapted to be secured to the crib bumper. The clip may include a body member having a first arm and a second arm coupled to the first arm. The clip may also include a clasping member carried by the body member and adapted to clasp the first arm and the second arm. The clip assembly may also include a belt adapted to secure the clip to a portion of the crib. The belt may include a strap member having a fastener, adapted to secure the strap member to the crib portion. The belt may also include a protruding member carried by the strap member and adapted to be received by the linking member.

Abstract: A clip for holding folded articles such as towels, fabrics, textiles, nonwoven fabrics, paper, and other sheets of material, includes a single piece construction having legs or braces separated by an opening. A cross member or hinge member connects the braces at one end. A tongue extends from the cross member and is biased to point into the opening between the braces. The tongue and braces can be opened to form a gap for inserting a folded fabric, such as a towel. The tongue and the cross member define holes or grooves for fitting buttons to hold decorative elements and accessories onto the folded fabric.

Abstract: A golf club securing mechanism includes a rigid member and a flexible member. The flexible member is wovenly engaged with the rigid member to define one or more golf club holding regions between the flexible member and the rigid member. The flexible member can be manipulated to vary a size of the one or more golf club holding regions such that in a loose position a golf club can be positioned within one of the golf club holding regions and in a tightened position the golf club is tightly fixed between the rigid member and the flexible member.

Abstract: A golf club securing mechanism includes a rigid member and a flexible member. The flexible member is wovenly engaged with the rigid member to define one or more golf club holding regions between the flexible member and the rigid member. The flexible member can be manipulated to vary a size of the one or more golf club holding regions such that in a loose position a golf club can be positioned within one of the golf club holding regions and in a tightened position the golf club is tightly fixed between the rigid member and the flexible member.

Abstract: A composite material is provided that includes a matrix material, and a plurality of deflectable elements or “machines” disposed in the matrix material, the machines acting to modify one or more physical properties of the composite material in response to forces acting upon the composite material. Preferably, the machines have an elongate shape defining a longitudinal axis, which are disposed within the matrix material in a predetermined array. The elongate members have an asymmetrical cross-section which is deflectable between first and second shapes, and consequently the composite material exhibits different physical properties because the elongate members deflect between the first and second shapes. The machines may include a variety of asymmetrical cross-sections, such as a generally “Z” shape, an hourglass shape, a cantilever shape or a leaf spring shape.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for banding a stack of planar articles, including a blank that has an initial length that is less than the circumference of the stack to be banded and a width that is greater than the height of the stack to be banded, wherein the band is a monolithically formed band without seams that is created through advantageous slitting and folding of the blank.

Abstract: A tension fastener for securing elongated implements to a backpack or other device. The fastener comprises a base that has a bar for attaching it to a strap, a hook disposed on the top surface of the base near one of its ends, and two parallel channels for adjustably receiving and securing a cord. The fastener also comprises a cover having a bar mounted across one end and an aperture extending through its sides on the other end. There is a cord threaded through the aperture in the cover and secured in the receiving and securing means in the base to connect the cover to the base. An implement is secured to the fastener by placing the implement on the top surface of the base, placing the cover over the implement, sliding the bar of the cover over the hook on the base, and tightening the cord until the desired tension is achieved. This fastener is easily operated using only one hand and securely keeps the implement attached to the backpack.

Abstract: A handgrip extension to be attached to the boom of a sailboard is disclosed. The extension permits the user to confortably grip the forward end of the boom to minimize injury and discomfort while allowing greater control and speed in sailboarding.

Abstract: A torque-limiting device for a mechanism controlling a vehicle rearview mirror in which the mirror is fixed on a supporting member mounted for pivoting about two perpendicular axes, on a yoke integral with a baseplate mounted in the casing. The tubular extension with the threaded portion of the control members is produced from a deformable material and is provided with at least one axial slot issuing into one of the ends of the tubular extension in such a way that any force applied axially on the control member enables the threaded end portion to disengage from the threaded hole, and the pinions are mounted on the bottom of a casing by way of a ball joint which is resiliently held in position so that the control members are always in alignment with the axis of the driving pinions.

Abstract: Improved scaffold clamps are described. These clamps provide a complete enclosure means for securing a plurality of planks in side-by-side relationship. The enclosure means bears a rigid working plate with a press screw extending longitudinally therethrough for exerting pressure against the edges of the enclosed planks. These clamps provide an improved means for stabilizing scaffold platforms.
