    Abstract: A non-metallic spring clamp (10). A bridging member (15) is integral with the first body member (13) and second body member (14), and is interposed between the jaw end (20) and handle end (21) of each. A spring (12) is interposed between the respective handle ends (21) so as to engage each handle end (21). Means (27) are provided to retain the spring (12) in engagement with each handle end (21). Means (26), likewise, are provided to laterally support the spring (12) on each handle end (21).

    Abstract: An apparatus is provided for the internal fixation of the spine. The apparatus comprises two sets of implants each consisting of a rod and a plurality of vertebral anchors. A set of implants is positioned on the spine on either side of the spinous process spanning the portion of spine to be immobilized. The rod is secured to the vertebral laminae by the vertebral anchors. The anchor includes a transpedicular screw member which is secured to a vertebrae. A rod support includes a cup which captures the screw and optionally permits micromotion between the rod support and screw. The rod support also includes a rod-receiving channel which captures the rod. A clamp is provided to secure the rod in the channel.

    Abstract: A portable clamp/hanger device that provides a rigid connection that is releasable between a support beam and a hoist or other load-carrying means. The device includes a movable platform pivoted to a stationary U-shaped member with an opening therebetween. The flange of a support beam is located within the opening and the platform moves against the flange by tightening an underlying screw threaded through a hollow anchor shaft which is secured to the lower arm of the stationary member. A collar swivels universally about a portion of the anchor shaft and includes posts from which swings a hanger for attaching hooks, shackles, rope ties and the like. The platform is provided with an adjustable cleat for adapting to various sized beams. A locking mechanism is included to prevent loosening of the screw. Alternatively, auxiliary pressure can be applied to the movable jaw with a cam and ratchet mechanism or other force transfer device.

    Abstract: Mounting device for a rod-shaped proximity switch which is constructed, apart from a tightening screw (10), as a one-piece injection moulded plastic part. The latter has a fastening part (12) provided with holes (14) for fastening bolts; at the ends of the fastening part (12), small block-shaped parts extending away from the fastening part to the side are moulded on, one of which forms a rigid clamping jaw (16) and the other, a small rigid supporting block (18). Between these two blocks there is a moveable clamping jaw (20), also designed to be shaped like a small block, which on the side facing away from the fastening part (12) is connected with the small rigid supporting block (18) by way of a flexible web (22). The small rigid supporting block (18) has, next to the fastening part (12), a threaded hole (24) for a tightening screw (10) to apply pressure to the moveable clamping jaw (20) in the direction of the rigid clamping jaw (16).

The ends of the strip are bent along parallel bend lines extending transversely of the strip at an acute angle to one edge of the strip to form legs extending symmetrically but in opposite directions. The area between the bend lines is provided with an extruded internally threaded aperture for a clamping fastener and opposite corners of the strip are notched to engage the structural element.
