Abstract: A male/female connection system is disclosed. The system is specifically designed as a novel way of attaching straps to cameras. The device includes a male attachment anchor with an overmolded loop, as well as a female housing inclusive of a spring to lock the male and the female together. The anchor connects to a camera at the neck strap loops using a cow hitch knot. The anchor connects to the housing by entering an open end, and being pulled through to an end where it is strapped. A strap connects to the housing by way of a loop being sewn around it.

Abstract: A mushroom-shaped clip with a hollow, radially elastic sleeve section and a clamping edge protruding outwardly from the shank. The clip element being used in a component connection having a first component having a projecting male form-fitting element; a second component having a through-hole into which the male form-fitting element projects; and a clip element comprising a radially elastic sleeve section and a clamping edge projecting outward from the sleeve section, wherein the sleeve section is form-fittingly and/or frictionally clipped onto the male form-fitting element, and the clamping edge extends at least partially over the through-hole of the second component and rests against a side of the second component facing away from the first component or is fixedly connected with the second component.

Abstract: A fastener for interconnecting two garment straps has a male part having an elongated base anchored to one of the straps, a web projecting transversely from the base, and a bar fixed to the web at a spacing from the base and having a pair of ends. A female part has a back panel secured to the other of the straps and a front panel. The back panel forms a recess dimensioned to receive the bar and having at a back edge back corners. The front panel forms ears spaced at the corners from the back panel and dimensioned such the male part can fit with the female part with the connecting bar engaging the back edge of the recess with its ends under the corners and its web projecting out of the recess between the ears.

Abstract: A clip 10 is provided for the retention of cables or wiring 44 in electrical installation trunking 46. The clip 10 has a first member 12 and a second member 14, which are coupled together in a sliding relationship. In use, the clip 10 slides apart, extending across the open face 50 of the trunking 46 until the lateral ends of the clip abut against an internal side wall 52 of the trunking 46. Cooperating locking strips (26, 40, see FIGS. 3 and 4) act to lock the relative positions of the first 12 and second 14 members and to prevent the clip 10 from falling out of the trunking 46.

The instant tent comprises an instant set-up frame which is coupled to an outer surface of a rain fly. An inner surface of the rain fly is detachably coupled to an outer surface of an enclosed inner tent. The instant tent is configured such that the frame, rain fly and inner tent remain coupled together in the collapsed configuration in a compact state for easy storage and transport. In the open configuration, the instant tent could be used as an enclosed shelter when the inner tent and rain fly are attached to each other, and as an open shelter when the inner tent is detached and removed from the instant tent.

Abstract: Fasteners comprising male and female assemblies. At least one of the male or female assembly may comprise a flexible base that flexes to conform to a non-planar mounting surface. The flexible base is bonded to the stud and/or the socket using techniques that provide a high degree of strength to withstand repeated engagement and disengagement of the fastener. Moreover, in certain embodiments the bonding techniques eliminate the need for mechanical means (for example, threads) to secure the stud to the flexible base. Mechanical tests show that the male assembly according to certain embodiments has 62% more strength than known male assemblies.

Abstract: An apparatus for a rescue worker's waist belt for connecting to and rapidly disconnecting from a self-contained breathing apparatus waist belt. The rescue worker's waist belt includes buckles disposed on its side that complement the buckles disposed on the SCBA waist belt. An SCBA wearer connects the SCBA waist belt directly to the rescue worker's waist belt rather than buckling the waist belt around the wearer's waist. Rapid disconnection is effected with the push of two buttons, thereby allowing the wearer to entirely remove the SCBA from his or her body while leaving the rescue worker's waist belt and any accoutrements attached thereto in place and on his or her person.
